Clean and charming

I really like the clean sound of the guitar. What kind of recording device are you using to make it sound so clean anyways? The song sounds very good though. I think if you were to add a bass line to it that it would be cool and maybe vocals to fit the mood to make it all the better.

The clean sounding guitar gives a feel of playing somewhere live. It kind of sounds like it possibly has a phaser effect on it to give a feel of the notes rising and falling as you play them. Then the second and lighter set of notes give a feel of joy as if smiling all day and watching fun things too.

Overall, great work in progress.

Heheh, sorry, both guitars are run directly inputed and put through 20% gain on the GarageBand amp simulator, then ran through a chorus preset. Nothing really clean on either of them. Although I stodd away from my Mac to avoid background noise and stuff.

Yeah, this was an early version of this, basically kind of like a "I want to record my ideas before I lose them" kind of thing. Which didn't turn out too bad, but still needs a bit of refining. (Okay, a LOT of refining.) Me and Firefreezer are working on a better version, more organized, more bass, more drums, more etc.

And as for the improvised lead guitar, it was, well, very improv'd. I know next to nothing on lead/solo guitar, pentatonic scale aside, but I'm working on that. It is supposed to sound upbeat in part of it, so that worked well. Yay. Either way, it's something that will need to be worked on.

Thanks for the review, dude! :D

Nice and strange

Kind of reminds me of older movies where you watched those long intro in the 90's and they were usually accompanied by this music for some strange reason or another strange enough. The tune is very well done though and enjoyable.

The guitar plucks very lightly giving a feel of someone being there yet not being visible to you. The drums have a simple echo rhythm to make you feel like you have a long path ahead and no idea where it could possibly be taking you either. The ambient wind noises give a feel of walking a long and lonely road to a new city and hoping you can start anew there once more. I also like the tone of the piano, very beautiful.

Overall, greatly composed ambient piece.

Thanks. Part of what you said sums up what I was going through with this song.

Inspiring

This has a real robotic and uplifting feel to it. It gives a feel of suddenly awakening to having a new power and you slowly begin to understand how to use it. You have to defeat a boss first before leaving the facility with your powers however as the scientist there only view you as a tool and not a human with emotions. Simple being angry sends shock waves every where freeing you of them.

You head out and soon wonder what they did to you. You notice on your hands it looks almost as if they had given you manicures and painted your fingers nails light blue for some reason. You wonder why and looking closer you notice tiny bits of cold ice coming from them. You touch the ground and notice the ground has frozen a bit.

You walk away and put on a cloak wondering what to do with the power. Your first thought though is taking out the person who has caused you so much pain and put you there in the first place and then the people who cause the city problems....

The synth has a very uplifting feel to it and I really enjoy that. The bass is soothing and bouncy on the ears. The drums have a simple feel that feels like it is giving you an adrenaline rush too. Very awesome beat.

Overall, great song, I enjoy it.

Boss time

This sounds like it would make a great boss rave song actually and for that I truly enjoy it. Tune it a bit and make it longer and it will be even greater. Great rave piece right here though. Has a feel of having to get really fast to beat the boss too. Very nicely done.

The synth has a calm feel as if trying to inspire you to come up with a strategy to beat the boss quickly before it destroys you instead. The bass and drums make a nice combo here for a nice thick thump, thump, thump sound while the synth and guitar synth play together to make a chaotic boss symphony.

Where did the voices come from anyways?

Overall, very fast and wickedly done song. Sounds awesome!!

Hell yeah, this would be perfect for a boss battle :D

There's no guitar bro, the bassline and lead were done in 3xOSC, sampled, and then distorted. Though, guitar would definitely go good with this track!

The vocals came from this "112 Vocal samples" pack that I downloaded. The guy said that they're from some RPG. Though, they didn't sound like that originally, I used a vocoder and white noise to give them that demonic effect.

Thanks bro! glad you liked this!

Sneaky

Has a kind of sneaky feel to it as if you were watching someone trying to get something without being seen at the same time too. Very nice sound to it. Could cut off the last half second of it though so the loop never ends. Nice work here.

I think I added that because I was having uploading troubles. And I'm glad it feels the way you described. That's totally what I was going for!

Trapped

Very dark feeling song.

You enter the temple alone as you have no friends who wanted to come with you or any friends at all for that matter. You walk forth seeing images and a bit of dry and rusted blood on the walls of the temple. Maybe people were sacrificed to some deity here at one point?

You keep walking forth with a heavy feeling of uneasiness and in the distance you feel like you hear someone whispering to you begging you to come and help them. You slowly walk forth and keep going. You want to know what happened here to make people no longer wish to enter it.

You make your way even further in and step on a rigged stone tile on the floor. As it goes down a bit you hear something open in the distance. Stepping off you hear it close. You push a pedestal over onto it to keep that distant door open. You walk forth a bit more and see the door that had opened as there was heavy dust coming from the door.

You walk into it and cough a bit while slightly choking on the smell. The faint whispering voice seems to be getting a bit louder now as you keep pushing your way forward. You wonder what could possibly be alive there or was it an audio tape someone left on and it is somehow looping.

You could care less and keep on pushing forth. The sounds of the temple don't seem to bother you either. Being alone as made you feel comfortable around sounds like this or anything at all for that matter. As you go deeper in you notice the walls closing in a bit as you keep going forth. Turning around you see the faint light from where you entered. You walk backwards a bit noticing the walls are getting narrower as they were designed to have that look and the light gets fainter and fainter the further away from it you walk.

"Will you help me?", you hear a voice, the one that had been faint sound even closer.

Walking forth after turning around you still see nothing and hear a light laughter that almost makes you want to vomit for some reason. As you get further in, the walls become so narrow you have to walk on your side and enter a new room that is huge.

All that you see though is a few items. You turn around the light is no longer visible as something as moved the pedestal forcing you to stay inside. Something in the room will hopefully let you leave though. You look at the items and notice only one has no dust on it. You examine the other items first noticing they are vases or small cat statues or people from the past.

You walk to the undusty item standing on a pedestal and notice in poorly written hand writing that it says "Do not open.... if you wish to leave."

The words shake you a bit as you say them. You wonder what is in it.

"Please, help me. I have been stuck in here for a long time. Release me, and I can help you leave alive. Those words, those words are written by something else living here wishing to keep me trapped in this box forever. It stole my body and has been holding onto it for a few millenniums now. I just want my body back...."

You look at it and faintly hear something whisper to you in fear to leave the box closed. You look around and see nothing though. You begin to slowly open the small chest and hear a loud scream from behind you. You close the chest and look behind you.

"Who's there?!"

...no answer....

You begin to open it again and feel a tap on your shoulder.

"DON'T OPEN IT!", the creature yells at you. It looks slightly human, "That thing speaks lies! It is a cursed creature that feasts upon humans and steals their bodies. Ever since I watched my friend get killed and absorbed by that thing, I have lived here since making sure no one opens it... ever!"

"I have a better idea!", you say, "If it can do that. Let's take it out, chain it up and drop it in the middle of the ocean where no one can ever open it again."

It nods and leaves the room again. You wait for weeks and see nothing. You slowly open the box and see white eyes staring at you as if pleasing to be freed. You open it and feel a surge of power within you. Somehow you feel powerful.... and free....

Thanks for your story!

Really nice

Really like this beat, nice work on it too. The only problem I notice is near the start where the voices overlap each other a bit and it sounded a tad bit messy there. Aside from that everything else sounds really nice. Really nice vocals, who was singing it?

The synth sounds bouncy and very happy on the ears too. The bass is nice and hard hitting here. Like how the synth just stays happy as well. The drum beat is simple and helps the beat move along. Love the drum fills as well, very pleasing on the ears. Dreamy sounding vocals and lyrics.

Overall, very nicely done. Excellent loop!

tay2von responds:

Thank you very much, Im gonna go work on the vocals right now, and the vocals are a sample I got off of the internet......

Excellent

Well I like the soft start up on this piece anyways. Gives a feel of relaxing and then it begins to get fast and other sounds join in and make a full song piece. Sounds like a relaxing piece to play a game to. The tune just has a lively upbeat fashion going along with it.

The synth sounds very wintery and nice on the ears as it stays soft for the most part. What was with the explosion sounds anyways? The drums are chilled and soft here giving a feel of love and kindness too. The bass is nice and smooth as it helps promote the song to move along and just keep going. I really enjoyed the guitar as well giving off a feel of taking it up a whole new notch too.

The ending is spastic and crazily nice then speedy.

Overall, great piece of work.

coleknows responds:

i couldn't really think of what would serve for a good sound effect to use. So chose explosions XD
I can admit though, i kind of regret putting those there though /:

Sounds pleasing

I like that little echo the piano has as well, gives a feel of being in a hallway somewhere and just enjoying the music as well. As for it being ambient, I would have to disagree and say it is classical instead as this is piano only. Ambient is more of a genre where you let the sounds paint the scene and tone for a place.

Very nice piano playing however, the echo effect is a nice thing worked with on this piece too. Not too bad at all.

Overall, nice classical piano piece.
