Yay for a boss fight

Yup, I found some of the koopalings highly annoying though towards the end since they took a bit longer to defeat for one reason or another and usually ended up trying to shrink then kill Mario or Luigi. Good times though.

The drums are nice and speedy here so that sounds good to me anyways so great work there. The trumpets sound really nice too and provide a dark battle piece. The bass line is simple and sounds twisted yet awesome.

Overall, good cover.

Good times

yup, I remember how much fun I used to have playing that game. Was that really the beat that played for most of the levels because I never truly noticed as I only ever beat the game twice.

The drums sound kind of like a winter thing. The piano plays a nice beat as well. I enjoy this who thing goes though. It sounds real basic as in there was only two instruments playing which is cool with me anyways as well. When the full beat plays it still sounds nice.

Overall, good work.

Ironclover responds:

Well I actually have 7 instruments playing; 2 Pianos, some Strings, Oboes, Clarinets, Trombone, and the Drums. Thanks for the really creative review!

Sick Beat

Well this was a pretty quick and sick house beat anyways. Kind of makes me think of Luigi's Mansion as well. I just really enjoyed the flow of the beat though so that must have gone well too. Should do a few more like this except have them hit off as more video game styled tunes like this one too.

The bass line is very simple here alongside the drums too. Kind of sad how the song is short but I suppose it would be a good and long enough lop for a short flash game too. The synth provides a nice little beat as well and I enjoyed that as well too. The whole tune sounds very dark, abstract, and video game like in feel.

Overall, good House/Video game beat.

Decibel responds:

haha, Luigi's Mansion is truly epic. I'm glad it makes you think of this subject.
Actually, I 'm extremely proud of the beat, tbh I kinda modelled it of p4c's trial and error, you can say it was my inspiration.
I'll try Video Game sometime if that's what you'd like ;3
The bassline is simple,I admit, but that wasn't the focal point of the song, It was the drums more than anything.
I'm continuing the song as I go but since my DAW is on my hard drive and Im
using a shit-ass computer, I can't bare to make anything well.
Yes, dark and abstract was the intial theme of it.
Glad you stopped by =)

Awesome

Considering I usually keep my headphones at a low sound level it didn't hurt my ears actually. Voice was creepy too, who's voice was that? The static used was also very nicely done and touched up to. Then you added some other ambient yet creepy sounds into the mix.

I enjoy how the dubstep sounds were not noticeable until the latter part of the song which was cool too. The drums provided a very cool beat to the mix. The synths kept staying loud for the most part and the both of them played polar opposite parts of each other which was nice. Then the bass line was a nice work too.

Overall, a good beat. Kind of Happy.

Soft and mellow

I really enjoyed how this piece went actually. I can kind of imagine rain drops hitting the window as the child stares out thinking of playing in puddles and many adventures. They soon head outside to play in it and find it to be a fun adventure and an escape from boredom. Kind of reminds me of the music from Coraline actually which was a good movie.

The xylophone was very nice sounding and it provided a good beat here. The wood instruments hitting each other was nice. Also enjoyed the bells that play here and provide a beautiful shade of a beat to the rest of the music. The piano adds a last piece and gives serenity to the beat.

I have to say that overall, this was a beautifully composed piece.

FunnyCop responds:

Wow thank you!
I remember when Coraline was in theaters, it looked like a good movie. I was going to go see it but never got around to it :\

Quick and intense

This was a nice piece considering you set it to 160bpm as well. Gives it a nice dance feel along with a speedy feel as if you could rave to this as well. Maybe it is a rave tune? If it is then that is pretty awesome as well. I like how the beat flows and kind of makes you have a feeling that you can dance while others watch in shock, awe, or whatever depending on your moves.

The synths are nice. The build up effect is nicely implemented and played as well. The drums were speedy and provide the part for making you feel good and awesome. The bass line was pretty hyper as well and I enjoyed how they bounce around as well.

Overall, good dance floor song.

Or4nges responds:

Rave on lol. Thanks for the review man.

Nice piece

Also this sounds like something I would play on Rock Band actually since I could literally see the people in the game playing this tune as well. The guitar playing here is very smooth and completely enjoyable. Really like the latter part where you hit the real fast notes and do the solo as well. The drums provide a good heart as well although they are a bit basic for my taste. Could have added in a few hi hats though.

Overall, great beat.

HumanDrumMachine responds:

Thanks! I actually agree with you on the drums, they should have been played by a real person anyway

Sleekly funny in an odd way

The start was cool with just a piano. Then the laugh comes in and sounds evil and the dubstep sound effects commence. Sadly like all dubstep songs I hear no bass here but the beat is still pretty cool anyways so that was a nice piece of work anyways. Wonder what else you can do?

The piano provides a nice lullaby effect. The dubstep sounds give off the crazy feeling of endless waves of darkness along with the laughter. The drums were a nice final touch to add as well.

Overall, good and evil piece.

Or4nges responds:

I think you need better speakers :p The bass is definitely there.

Thanks for the review!
