Nice job

Heh, the Vanilla Dome, Bowser Valley, and Special World overworld themes were my three favorite tunes from the game actually. Mostly because they just bring out some of the best from the game with great challenges to the player.

The xylophone sounds brilliant with the high notes. The piano playing deep notes was a nice touch here as well. The other deep sounds I hear are just icing on the cake. You did a good job of making a cover version of this song.

Overall, nice!!

Ironclover responds:

Thank you, and I have the Special World in progress! So it will be here soon. Thank you :D

Meow meow

I still have yet to figure out why the thing saying meow in a speedy fashion is nyan? Oh well, the name sticks though right? This a good piece the one night that I keep hearing throughout the loop sounds a bit like a chocobo to me which is cool I guess.

The bass line was nicely done. The main synth playing the higher notes is really nice to hear as well, kind of makes you feel happy too. The drums are simple and good too. I like where you added another instrument later in, sounds as if it were trying to calm the song down a bit too.

Overall, nice remix.

ganon95 responds:

yea, i didn't want to keep it the same thing over and over so i mixed it up a bit

Potential

This seems pretty decent for a first actually. The piano sounds a bit like a synth but that is not a real concern to me since you use a few other instruments to stay to the classical area of music too. This piece sounds nice though. Kind of makes me think of Final Fantasy One through Five since they tended to have tracks like these for most of the game except in battles.

The piano synth sounds very calming yet erratically cool. Liked the later part where it began to play the higher notes in a dramatic fashion too. The xylophone and bells were very well done too, they just add to the beat and make it sound better as well. Like the chorus you added, they just give off a good feeling of a middle age styled thing going on.

Overall, good potential for you in the future, keep it up.

Angiki responds:

Erm... As much as I appreciate the positive comments and score, I didn't add a choir, though I do know what you mean, there was that voice-like element as a byproduct of the synthesizer, and as coincidental as that was I think it does make for a nice effect. As for piano, well... I have no idea where you're getting that from, because it was a string section synth, with a timpani and celesta coming in near the end.

Great remix

I found this to be completely awesome actually. Like how you added a guitar to the mix actually which makes it a pretty cool remix as well. The keyboard sounds the same and good. Almost always hated the Minotaur brothers and Diablos since they both took me ages to finally beat and get on my team and I always gave them both to Rinoa along with Carbuncle.

The guitar sounds sweetly done here and I really enjoyed it. Good work with the drums on this one too. Then lastly came the bass which finishes up the song. All the way through it just screams how good the game was.

Overall, excellent cover piece.

Spailpin responds:

Haha Glad you enjoyed it!

I always hated fighting Diablo, but once you had him, he was awesome. Also, his card is really awesome and allowed me to whoop the Queen of Cards finally, and start getting some more serious cards. I realize not everyone played the card game, but I found it to be really awesome. I had no problem with Tthe Minotaur Bros. because you can just cast float and ignore all of their ground attacks.

Okay, enough being a nerd. Thanks for listening!

Cool remix

I like how you replaced the main guitar with a synth to make it sound hyper. Then you replaced the bass with a synth bass line that sounds very matching. I also enjoy how I can hear a xylophone hidden in there as well. The drums sound wickedly done for a remix too. The tune kind of still makes you want to headbang despite it being a techno theme remix.

Overall, awesome remix. \m/

ganon95 responds:

yea thunderhorse is a fun song to remix, you can add alot of drum variations to it

Great cover

I've seen this used in many custom made versions of Mario games usually during castle or space levels. Now that I hear the original it sounds great and the flow of the tune is quite awesome to hear it remixed in such a way as well that it makes people feel awesome and epic for some reason too.

The synths sound incredible here and give you a dismal doom of hope kind of feel too. The drums sound good hear and I really like how they go as well. Like the backing synth being soft and working alongside the bass. Enjoy the effect of how the beat always sounds like it is getting ready to go off which is cool.

Overall, awesome cover!!

XayberOptix responds:

Thanks for such a descriptive review! I don't mind receiving more reviews like this. :)

Good idea

I think the start is right, there is no one pure ethic with all the problems, every kind of person tends to have problems even those who wish to solve problems have problems. You laid down some good rhymes as well so that was nice.

The piano was good. The drums provide the second part. Then the vocals and start finish up this piece. You did good here.

Overall, a very touching but odd piece I think.

HeIsAlive responds:

People need to wake up.

Im glad you liked the song and the message.
Touching is what I was going for :D

Sweetly done

I love the flow of the drums here and this is one very happy sounding song that I have enjoyed the full way so great work on it. The wah wah notes I hear are very good here and very enjoyable. Enjoyed the radio part too. Then the drums build back up and burst into a very colorful and cheery tune that anyone could possibly enjoy.

The synth sounds amazingly happy. The drums get you into the feel for going at it. The long and ambient bass synth notes are good here. The synth itself keeps you feeling very good and awesome at the same time as well so you did good there as well.

I have to say that overall you made short work of doing a cheery song. Great job!!

Pocketpod responds:

Thanks for your great review!

glad you like it!

Ivo Robotnik

Haha, enjoy how you tried to make this sound slightly funny while working on it. Sounds like something I would hear at the start of a 90s movie actually that is comedy based and such. Kind of makes me think of Mouse Hunt too. The ending was funny although you should have used his voice throughout the whole thing rather than just the ending, oh well, still sounds great.

The piano and xylophone sounded great together. Enjoyed all the high pitched sounds and PENISH at the end which made it slightly funny. They should have played this on the Hang Castle level of Sonic Heroes, would have been real funny too!

Overall, humorous.

SilentTakedown responds:

The end is supposed to be a reference to "Pinky and the Brain". I would have called it an opera if Ivo himself sings throughout the whole piece. I'm glad you liked it though.
