Reminds me of the main tune played for most of Resident Evil 2 and 3. You just never know what zombie, whore, or horror is awaiting behind each corner preparing to eat you alive as well. This tune turned out well and remained creepy. It is also an excellent loop. Kind of makes you not want to be alone in the dark if you are naked and unarmed at all.
The long ambient string notes paired with the long bass notes make the tune entirely creepy. I think if you had added some really fast sporadic piano playing near the middle and end it could have been a lot more creepy than what you did here. The drums are on time and help keep it creepy.
Hmm, I think that with more random piano notes and even random whispers every now and then would make it more psychotic. xD
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the great review

You did a pretty great job on this making it sound very up and happy here. The way it continues on as a loop seems perfect. Like how you used high end synth notes for the cat voice in this which makes it funny anyways, great work.
The drums and triple claps seem to work together as a beat and I seem to be enjoying it so this tune turned out good I think. The drums and synth lines also work good here.
Overall, meow cat remix!!
PS. Yea, the cat is saying meow really fast, not nyan. :C
Kind of enjoy reviewing audio a lot but I can never make awesome long audio reviews like you. Maybe we should collab on that sometime or something. Joking aside this actually sounds very classy and has a medieval town feel to it I think. That or could be used in a really weird music video I suppose which would be funny or something like that. The way the tune flows seems to be great and it loops without failing to skip a beat which is good to see here.
The tuba sounds great and I like the orchestra effect it has. The guitar and strings seem to combine into one and make a beautiful beat for a sad looking town wishing to be rid of their problems and thus a hero steps forward with an egg sandwich and eats it while getting a sword and preparing to get rid of the problem.
The piano sounds pretty good here. The flute was somewhat random but I enjoyed that. Lastly the drums create an excellent backbone for the song.
Overall, this is a great classical composition. Was it ever used in the game?

Haha, maybe so. But I don't write reviews. I write essays :D.
"Joking aside this actually sounds very classy and has a medieval town feel to it I think. That or could be used in a really weird music video I suppose which would be funny or something like that."
Music video? That's one of the more original thoughts xD. I'm glad you think it has that town feel to it. Some people think it's a bit too busy for a town theme.
"The way the tune flows seems to be great and it loops without failing to skip a beat which is good to see here."
I was told to loop every song I did for the game, so I'm happy I had success in that department!
"The tuba sounds great and I like the orchestra effect it has."
I think this is the first song I ever did which made use of a tuba. I'm glad I used it - as you said it fits really well.
"The guitar and strings seem to combine into one and make a beautiful beat for a sad looking town wishing to be rid of their problems and thus a hero steps forward with an egg sandwich and eats it while getting a sword and preparing to get rid of the problem."
That is *exactly* what I envisioned when making this song.
Well, minus the egg sandwich :D.
"The piano sounds pretty good here."
I'm a pianist myself so I love using pianos in my submissions. It's such a diverse instrument.
"The flute was somewhat random but I enjoyed that."
True, maybe I could've used it a bit more throughout the track rather than at the end only. Thanks for liking it though :P.
"Lastly the drums create an excellent backbone for the song."
Great! I've never made drums of this style before, but I'm quite proud of them.
"Overall, this is a great classical composition. Was it ever used in the game?"
Nah, they never actually finished the game, even though it was nearing completion and was coming out really well. I was a bit pissed about that because I spent months working on the tracks... :(
But thanks for reviewing. I really appreciate the insightful review!
This has that really down and depressing feel to it as well. I can see how this would be fitting for a break up anyways. The lyrics are real fitting so you did a good job there. It seems like you felt down but were putting a lot of emotion into it as well. This tune sounds really sad yet basic.
The lyrics and vocals here sound great so nothing wrong there. The two pianos are very wonderfully composed so you did good there. Then there is the bass line which kind of makes it sound sadder and gives a lot more rhythm. The drums sound soft and basic enough to be catchy here as well.
Overall, break ups are almost always sad. This tune makes you feel sadder yet better too.
Also got the original version of this as well. Just one of those tunes that makes you feel really happy. Another fun fact is if you slow down the video a bit it is NOT saying nyan but meow really really fast which makes most users think it says Nyan. Just thought that was funny.
You did a pretty swell 8-bit cover of this anyways. All the tunes and sounds are in the right place here so no quarrels either.
I literally do not have much to say here actually. Compared to the original it does sound a lot better though and still carries that mystic feel to it as if you were discovering something new. However overall, this is a pretty sweet final piece. A little longer and more sounds added so that was great too.
Makes me think of a fighting game and that you are currently at the city stage. You just finished the stage... or so you think until the area superboss appears since you cleared the battle while doing something specific. The figure is cloaked in darkness and you have to avoid its attacks at all costs since one combo takes away 3/4 of your life. D:
The bass and drums seem to work together wonderfully and create a great backing bone here. I like how later in the one synth kind of sounds like a robot voice in a way which I guess is pretty cool anyways so great work there.
The synths are great. Liked how the second one sounds like a robot though. The atmosphere of the song seems kind of dark with the way the bass line sounds here through and through.
Also found it funny how it is 3 minutes long and 33 seconds longer. This actually has a somewhat ambient feel overall added to the dubstep, kind of dark feeling here as well.
The drums that kick off about 20 seconds in sound pretty great and give you a feeling of great hope as well. The synths sound dark and awesome until the kick up. Then the dub sounds are pretty kicking and dark so you did a pretty slick job there on this. The bass line was pretty awesome as well.
Overall, when the beat comes together it makes an awesome yet dark dubstep beat.
Well this has various feels as if you might be cruising through a city or something. Also the title of the song makes me think of the song "The New Black", pretty funny right?
The synth triplets are nicely done here. Then you added a second synth to the beat to add some spice to the tune. Then the bass line just evens out the song with frosting on the cupcake that we all seem to enjoy. Then the drums are also triplet notes as well.
When the beat comes together it makes a nice long loop anyways so good work here.
