Funny yet sad

Have to admit. This started up and I was expecting to play a game. I pressed a button and couldn't move. I was then dissed and told I could not move as the character was a shrub. How sad and cruel the world is isn't it?

The animation was quite nice and enjoyable actually. The level actually looks quite awesome albeit it can not be played in any way possible because shrubs can not move and therefore are unable to be awesome in game modes of any sort.

The humor was actually a good break as well.

Overall, an exceptionally great job by an exceptionally great team. Looking forward to more.

Excellent game!!

I was wondering when you would finally bring it to Newgrounds. I found this to be an excellent game that provided far more fun than the first two Sushi Cat games. The levels were far huger (literally, look at how far the cat falls down), same storyline length, however the addition of bonus levels made this a really fascinating and fun yet fast paced skill and luck game to play!!

The graphics were very nicely done as they were in the first two Sushi Cat games and I like how the storyline was more based on dog related things. However in the end it all ends well for Sushi Cat who gets his beloved plushie cat wife back from the bacon dog.

The soundtrack to this game was solid and I really enjoyed the music for each segment of the story the whole way.

The game play was really nice and this game made me think a bit harder of where to drop the kitty. I found that dropping the kitty off early was not such a good idea as getting some of the sushi pieces became impossible as they were lodged in impossible to reach spots. That meant having to redo the level and place where I wanted to go correctly a thing of art and fun as well.

I really enjoyed the new power ups in this game. The carnival was splendid considering you had the opportunity to use a powerup from any other point in time during the game.

I have to say that overall, Sushi Cat was a rather great game that makes you think more, contains awesome bonus levels and outfits and more fun that your own cat can shake its paw at.

Excellent work!!

Great work

I have to say that I was impressed with this.

The graphics were actually pretty nice so that was a good amount of work I see considering that it probably took a few minutes to make the background, enemies, and the giraffe as well. So that was very nice.

The audio choices were also very nice and fitting too. Kind of put you into the action and strangely made you feel quite awesome so great work there too.

The game play was really but I had one slight problem with the game. There would be moments in which I moved the mouse one way but the giraffe did not go to where the mouse had gone until a couple of seconds later which I guess is just minor overlooked piece in the programming right?

Overall, not really too bad. Just fix the little mouse problem and this game is perfect.

Idk. Try a different browser?

Not good

I am sorry but this is a very poorly done flash with a screamer added to it. It would have been nice i the cats had been saying something cute or funny to entertain the viewer but all I saw was two cat pictures that zoomed in and out. The the third one was a cat followed by a gif made to scare the user which I guess is kind of funny if you enjoy those kid of things.

The play button and other three buttons were OK but I really don't have anything nice to say. Try to get a focus of what kind of flashes you would like to make or play and then try to build one based on those fundamentals and see if the viewer enjoys. If they do then you know you are doing something right.

Good luck in the future.

Glitchy

Really sorry for a low rating but I have played these type of games before and this one is pretty glitchy but I guess you already knew that. ALso I would suggest getting an NG preloader to use this game as well so we can all skip the annoying ads.

The gameplay seems similar to Bejeweled except for some reason the bombs are unclickable and you only need a chain of one to move on which is not right either since it should always be in pairs of three or more. Also there should never be a default chain of three or higher.

If it does happen then the game should have some coding to recognize it and automatically remove them for you instead of the player clicking on them. Another thing is you may wish to look at adding the ability to slide the blocks over by one to make it better.

Fix up the glitches and the game should be a lot better.

Good yet hard

I found this to be a pretty fun game although it is simple to play it is hard to get lots of money until after the player buys about two basis upgrades for the bison trying to escape from the bag known as candy land. I bought the rubber and bounce boost for starters so that I could last a bit longer whenever I clicked and bounced on a gummy bear, bomb, or paragummy.

The graphics are very nice and the way that the gummies and bombs randomly generate is similar to that of Toss the Turtle or Kitten Cannon which were also games like this as well. The things that separate this game from them though is that you can bounce as many times as you wish until you miss hitting a gummy then you might wish to let off for a bit to see if you can get lucky and have a gummy pass by for you to bounce off of.

I really loved the audio choice here is well. The song seemed very fitting along with the sound effects of hitting the gummies and the ground and other things.

The store is excellent but there is only one thing I hate about it a lot. The fact that after you buy an item that some other items increase in price when you have not even bought them in the first place. I found that to be a bit unfair actually as you now have to earn double the amount to buy that item which should not have increased in price.

The game play was very nice and I really enjoyed playing this game a lot though. Although it is a bit of a stand alone copy of Toss the Turtle and Kitten Cannon featuring a bison. It is different with the launch bar being a radial jackpot type thing where the top star gives the biggest boost and the star at the bottom gives the smallest boost instead.

Overall, a very nice game although the store does irritate me a bit. Great job on this.

Pretty nice

The game is nice but I noticed there was one thing missing to make this game a bit easier and more realistic like most other platformer game... the ability to duck! If this was in the game then the player might survive a few seconds longer and some of the puzzles and guards they have to back attack.

The graphics ran smoothly so that was really great as well. I think with the dialogue boxes, adding voices to them would make them even better so you get more of a feel of what the characters are feeling as well.

The playing was pretty good although there were a few tough spots, after the player gets the idea of what to do they can clear through most rooms in a matter of minutes and continue on to the next room.

You made some very nice choices in the audio categories as well. The songs played at fitting times in the game so no complaints there either.

I would have to say that overall, this was a pretty good game. Somewhat like others. All I would suggest is adding voice actors and the ability to duck. Aside from that, great job here.

Yeah I could've handled how the player gets spotted much better, instead of just having being spotted be an instant death. It almost makes the health bar feel useless. At some point I think I would actually like to go back and take Cold Reavers art and fix up the game with voices, better platforming, puzzles and AI, but that's not going to happen for a while.

Thanks!

Improved

I would say this is a pretty good improvement since your older version actually. I do still have a problem here that is somewhat different from the previous. The blue guys still gang up on me if I become unlucky enough but this time they can start shooting at me before I can even see them now. What happened in the coding?

The bullet sounds are still good anyway and the hit box for when you die is still good as to go too. The graphics are still a bit dull though. Should try a bit of the boxhead method when the opponent dies, they stay there in a small blood pile for a bit before fading away.

Aside from that stuff, this game has some good potential. Just keep updating and removing the parts people still have issues with and this could go quite well.

Thanks for taking the time to follow the game, as it's being developed.

EDIT: I've fix the enemies shooting at you, before you see them by adding the delay timer back in (amongst other things)

The ganging only really occasionally happens near the borders/if the player spawns next to a large group of enemies; for the most part only a certain number of enemies can stalk a target around the map for at a time.
I was thinking of adding in decoy beacons to ensure idle enemies don't group together...

I like the idea of a splash of blood, surrounding your character as he dies, but I need proper isometric graphics to go by first.

Updates will be a bit slower with the main semester of Uni Starting back up.
However with so many people taking an interest in this project's development,
I'm going to prioritize giving it the best I can.
:)
EDIT: To prove my loyalty I just posted another update in response to all the recent feedback:

BETA 0.18.7:
[*]Reduced Lag
[*]Fixed fire delay with enemies at the border
[*]Reloading Sound.
[*]Fixed glitch with rocket launcher sound.
[*]Bigger and fancier radar
[*]Game automatically pauses when not in focus.
[*]& more
