Good cover

Really soft and spaced out remix of the final egg zone theme I see. Sounds good though, you really seem to have it all brought together as well. Really like how the tune just seems to flow over with goodness and memories.

The synth sounds really good and I see there are two playing. One plays a main piece while the other plays some quirky high notes and makes it feel strange for you too. Nice. The bass is subtle and very soft here.

The piano sounds really soft, almost giving a feel as if you can do it no matter what comes to stop you from reaching Eggmans.

Overall, wonderful cover here.

Thanks alot! Feedback is always appreciated, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

Good piece

Reminds me of what good times I had trying to beat the game. Took forever but was always a fun game to play anyways. This beat is a real good reminder too, thanks for remaking the tune.

The funky sounding synth sounds wonderful and gives a feeling as if you were time traveling. The crystal sounds are wonderful too as they make it feel as if the place was filled with clocks and other time things. The vocals are wonderfully done and very nice to hear as well. Very good work.

Overall, thanks for doing a remake.

Samus! Samus!! Samus!!!!

Reminds me of the good times I actually had playing Super Smash Bros. Melee, always found the mission to defeat all the Metal Samus AI to be a bit difficult back then but now I can easily do it with little to no effort. Really relaxing and cool remake though, did a wonderful job on this one.

The bass seems to be the main piece of this song as it provides the main theme and piece for the song. The violin sounds really smooth and classy as always. I think you did a good job with those two. The drums hold and maintain a steady beat and help you feel motivated to complete the level.

Overall, excellent cover and loop.

Cool, glad you liked it! Ideally, there would be some brass in here, but I was pressing myself to put this one out before I left, and don't have many good plugins besides.

This was intended to be primarily chromatics, with the bass filling the same role as the original. The drums are just to fill up the otherwise quiet spaces.

Thanks for reviewing!

Disgaea

I always wanted to play that game since it looked witty, funny, and a little bit perverted with Etna and the white mage chick there helping move the story along. Interestingly fun looking series, great work recreating the intro to one of the games too.

The violin sounds wonderful as it plays the main beat instead of a synth actually. The bass sounds smooth and rather cool as well since it plays up and goes well for the way the song is done. Really liked the stringed solo that I heard here.

The drums are super simple and very good too. I really just like the simple charm of them.

Overall, wonderful remake of an intro to a great game.

You've never played Disgaea? You've been missing out on a wonderful series. Sadly I've never played Disgaea 3 or the fourth one coming out soon since I don't have a PS3. =[

Anyway, glad you liked the song overall. I wasn't sure if the violin melody was too loud or not but it seems it's fine as it is.

Thanks for the review. :3

Running

Sounds like it would go well in a platform game where it is real windy looking as you run and try to find the answers that the game gives problems of. Very nice piece though and I do like it a lot too.

The guitars come and go very lightly and give a feel as if something might be there waiting for you to come and save them from whatever is bugging them. The bass sounds really pleasing and nice to the ears. The pan flute and flute both combine to make this song sound all the more better.

The drums are amazingly simple and nice as well. Like how they seem to move along.

Overall, very nice and calm piece of music.

Grr. I haven't thought to respond to this yet. I only have two things I can really respond to though.

1) lol, "more better"

2) Why in the world do you rate everything 9? That's honestly the only rating I've seen from you on my songs. May I ask why? If there's nothing wrong with a song, wouldn't it be a 10..? If you could tell me why in a PM, that would be awesome.

Fight your way

I think this would make for a good boss battle theme where you are at the end of your nightmare and the most vile thing from your dreams as arisen and you must battle with it before you are free to dream in happiness once more. Wonder what the creature looks like.

The piano is nice when it plays as it strikes some dynamics into the piece. The drums sound like a very long drum roll going lightly in the background and trying to get you to fight to live. The guitar also sounds pretty great here and I like how it works out.

The synth sounds great, it goes up and down, and plays a whole lot of funky sounding notes too. The bass is very thick and I like how it mostly has a reverse effect for most of this piece.

Overall, awesome boss battle piece.

SkyeWint responds:

Thanks! I was wondering which synth you meant, as I don't think I put any synths in this, but I'm thinking you either meant the violin I had from the Fluid soundfont or the phaser I had put on the snare. Not sure though.

Either way, glad that I got this review, I do enjoy this song and don't quite understand why it got the bad rating it did...

Fun

Well it maintains a very simple beat while also being very fun at the same time so I like how that works out in the end on this one. The piece sounds ever so cheery and completely up there in the atmosphere of fun too.

The synth sounds completely funky and kind of like a flanger effect might have been applied to it actually. Still very fun sounding. The bass line is simple yet calm too which is always great. The drums are very simple to play but probably take a lot of energy to play too.

Overall, very cool and fun sounding piece.

Thanks, I enjoyed playing around with this one but I ended up just getting stumped, would have been longer but this is all I could make. :P Anyway, thanks for the review.

Journeys

Well it sounds like an intro to a adventure like show anyways. Sounds pretty neat as well since it goes all out to bring happiness and adventure to one piece of work. The tune sounds rapid and beautiful though.

Really love the drums on this as it is combined with claps and goes all out for having fun. The bass is wet yet very sweet sounding as well. The synth is possibly the best part of this song as well since it enlightens the whole piece and I love when it does the little speed up segments as well. Really neat.

Overall, completely neat, hyper, and fun piece.

Raymoclaus responds:

Thanks for the review, didn't think of it as an intro but I like the idea. Hmm...you like the synth part eh...nothing in this song is not synthetic except for the percussion and piano which must mean you like the whole song. Hehe, thanks. Yeah when it comes to my techno songs, I really try to work on those fast parts, since I heard of Dimrain47 I've been trying to figure out how Dimrain seems to be GOD at fast techno and I think I'm getting the hang of it. (Seriously, would it kill Dimrain to make a somewhat slow song...probably will).

Funk

Really enjoy the flow of this tune anyways. Sounds like it would work well in a platform game anyways. Has a really funky feeling to it too so I do like that as well. The tune just makes you feel like slightly dancing and raving your night away into the early morning anyways.

The synth sounds incredibly funky and happy as well. Kind of sounds like it has a bit of the banjo bluegrass influence mixed into it to make it sound cool. The bass line is simple yet very nice on the ears as well too, like how you did that there. Like the little sucking sound I hear at times too.

The drums are amazingly simple yet very happy sounding as well. The clap and water combination is pretty neat anyways, like what that does for the song too. Lastly I hear a bit of cowbell, awesome.

Overall, really have to say that this does sound quite neat. Nice work.

MakerThe responds:

It's actually conga samples (not cowbell) just to be clear :P Anyways. Thanks for an awesome review! Appreciate it (:
