Very complex

Sounds a bit like what I play on my guitar sometimes when I get real bored and just start hitting random notes on the guitar not caring too much on what it sounds like when I do it. However if it starts to sound good then I repeat it and try to add on a bit to it to see if I can make it sound better.

The guitar here sounds furiously mad and I like it a lot too. Very nice playing on the guitar I think and it is well done too. The only other thing I notice at times is the treble in the background kind of feels like a moving bass or car sometimes. Maybe it's just me though. You play Jimi Hendrix very well.

Loved the breakdown here as it sounded just like the original to me and I liked it a lot too.

What kind of microphone are you guys using to record this stuff anyways and how much do they tend to cost?

Overall, another great Jimi Hendrix cover.

gamejunkie responds:

Thanks again for another awesome review. Actually all the equipment belongs to a good friend of mine, except for my guitars and amps, so I will have to get back to you on type of Mic and approx cost. I will let you know though.

Cheers gamejunkie.

Jimi!!

Well this actually sounds pretty cool to me. Not bad for a cover at all either. The guitar sounds quite beautiful to me. That makes me think I've been using a Peavey Rockmaster II since I began. Might just sell it off for a much better guitar too I think which would help a lot too.

The guitar was just awesome here anyways and I liked it a lot. Some parts it felt like there was a light bass in the back backing up the guitar too. All it needs is drums and it would be perfect I think. Very nice song. On the other hand I still wish I had a drum kit. :P

Overall, great cover piece!!

gamejunkie responds:

Thanks heaps, great review as always. And I hear what your saying about adding Drums, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of making Guitar Covers. Your kind words are always very much appreciated.

Cheers gamejunkie.

Wow, just wow

Large amount of listens, downloads, and votes yet rarely a review in site! Oh well, I guess that's what makes the audio portal great is that it is calmer in having less reviews done is all. Very nice song though and I really like how it manages to flow like a waterfall too. Very nice piece of work too.

The synth is very cool and I like how it seems to carry a slight echo effect with it wherever it seems to go on this track. Also I seem to notice a hint of a piano behind it am I right? The bass sounds really nice and almost feels as if it was the pulse and life of the song as well too I think. The drums are really cool and the kicks are great to enjoy.

Song actually does sound like something I would play at a dance too to try calming things down for a moment before playing a faster track to speed things back up again. Very calm dancing song I think. Just need glow sticks and disco beams to make it fun.

Overall, this is an excellent track. I really enjoyed it!!

YakovlevArt responds:

Awesome!
Im glad you liked it =]

-Your right, there is piano in there. I put many of the leads, synths, and basses, and whatnot through some minor effects to give it more depth. It's cool that you noticed it =]

Thanks for the review!

Digitized metal

This sounds a bit more digital than real sadly but it still sounds like it would make a great boss battle song I think. The tune is greatly done and for a band name like yours I would imagine there being vocals of some kind in this one too. Very cool sounding piece of work though.

The guitar sounds really digital and that's it really. I like the flow of it though. The drums sound really smooth and clean and I like them that way. The bass is very smooth too and plays a very nice tune in the back to help the drums and guitar sound a lot better.

Overall, aside from the guitar sounding a bit digital, everything else was just great.

AgeofEnlightenment responds:

a great review. im working on getting a less digital sound while maintaining the crispness, while i use free software cause i dont have an amp right now lmao. vocals are coming soon!!, and thanks for drum comment im not a drummer but i really am starting to like drums.

thanks for listening!

added note: the name of this song is really SKYCODE ;p

Very calm

The title makes me think of Marluxia from Kingdom Hearts too actually. Very calming and peaceful sounding piece I think. Could go well in an RPG where you are exploring fields too. Very nice. Would have been nice had you kept it going the whole time rather than fading as it could have made for a great loop.

The flute is cheery and makes you have hope as you go on your journey out into the world. The piano gives a feel of you will always find a way through even if things get incredibly bad at some point.

Overall, cheery.

ToraXD001 responds:

That's the kind of feelings and thoughts I was going for with this! And this is for a RPG game concept actually, so what you said is perfect!

Deep

This sounds like a pretty deep piece I think. You have some mad rhymes as well I think. You plan on doing a debut mixtape sometime or what? The beat sounds really good and I like it as well too. Nice to see a collab of all of you coming together to make this mad beat.

The beat sounds really deep and almost like bring you to tears I think. However the mixed rhymes of you all working together makes this really nice to hear I think. What was the voice sample from at the beginning? Really enjoyed each and every vocalist who came together on this one. Hope you all do a collab album. That would be quite incredible as well as awesome.

Overall, mad skills. That is all.

80s all over again

Very nice job on this beast right here. Heavily reminds me of intros to old movies where they long intros with this kind of music to show who all was in it and had helped make the movie as well. Very good beat I think. The guitar is incredibly classy as well I think. Very classy song and excellent work on this.

The guitar sounds good and I really enjoyed hearing the power chords too since it gave it a bit of a giant push in a great direction. I also hear a large mix of classical stuff incorporated into this one too. Very nice, I like the way the drums play though as they sound like a mix of urban and classical drumming.

The bass line and piano combine for a wonderful duet of making the song real classy to listen to. The violins are nice to listen to as well and I like the xylophone I hear as it gives it a slightly cartoonish feel to the song.

Overall, incredibly classy and cool song.

Hey man, thanks for the classy review :D.

"Very nice job on this beast right here. Heavily reminds me of intros to old movies where they long intros with this kind of music to show who all was in it and had helped make the movie as well."

Now that I think of it that way, you're right! It does remind me of that.

"Very good beat I think. The guitar is incredibly classy as well I think. Very classy song and excellent work on this."

Thanks! That guitar and the effect I put on it are all free samples, believe it or not.

"The guitar sounds good and I really enjoyed hearing the power chords too since it gave it a bit of a giant push in a great direction. I also hear a large mix of classical stuff incorporated into this one too."

Yup, I'm starting to find it a little hard to make a song without giving it orchestral elements, lol.

"Very nice, I like the way the drums play though as they sound like a mix of urban and classical drumming."

I'm quite proud of that yeah. Glad you like it.

"The bass line and piano combine for a wonderful duet of making the song real classy to listen to."

I'm pretty new to basslines in this style so I'm surprised to see that you liked it. Pleasantly surprised, of course :3.

"The violins are nice to listen to as well and I like the xylophone I hear as it gives it a slightly cartoonish feel to the song."

I added the xylophone in my second edit, to perhaps make the 2:24 part a tad bit more interesting. Nice job noticing something so subtle :P.

"Overall, incredibly classy and cool song."

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback mate.

Very cool

Heh, kind of makes me think of Rush who is a pretty cool band to hear. Very nice beat you have done with yourself here as well. Now it just needs some cartoonishly high pitched vocals like the vocalist of Rush has to go with it too. Also kind of makes me think of Galaga as well with parts of the beat too. Very nice song.

The keyboard sounds incredibly cheesy and yet so mellow at the same time that it makes you feel like smiling all day too. The bass is nice and I like it a lot. Liked the distorted keyboard part as well, pretty sweet thing right there I think. The drums sound complex on the kicking but very cool still.

Overall, really nice piece of work, I do like it.

Birdinator99 responds:

Rush?!?!?! AGAIN?!?!?!

Cool.

Ha, it does have a cheesy quality to it, now that I listen for it. Glad you liked the bass.

Thanks for reviewing!

Calming

Well this is a very nice tune anyways and I like how it goes too. Kind of makes me think of a band just having a gentle jam session and just enjoying themselves as well. You did well on this song too. The only real problem I notice is I can hear static on your microphone for a moment and that's it really and you hear it every now and then but not too often to notice.

The guitar sounds really good and I like the main riff you have on the chorus as it sounds very clean and very well done. The bass is soothing and helps the song move along as well. The drums are cool and I really like the beat of it too. The vocals and lyrics are both very nice and calming on the ears to me.

Overall, nice rock song with great lyrics.
