The Shafts

This does have a great cave feel to it. Nice work on making another good 8-bit goodness piece such as this. What program did you use anyways? The tune has a simple flow to it as if a feeling of exploring the place to find out what all is going on there. Really love the synth the most too.

pianimae21 responds:

Thanks alot for your feedback! I use FL Studio with the Peach and Toad VST Plugins (you have to install them) as well as the 3xOcs for the the short synth hi notes.

Beautiful

For something with only a guitar and vocals this sounds very beautiful. As for genre I would classify it as Indie actually since it seems to lean more toward the genre than anything else.

The voice is very loud, crisp, and very clear to hear. What kind of microphone or recording device did you use here? The guitar sounds beautiful and I like it a lot. Very catchy and pleasing to hear.

Overall, wonderful indie piece.

malcolmsean responds:

Hi SCTE3. I know it was Neumann mic but not sure which kind. ill find out. Yeah, the vocals are clean and crisp..Ill prob put all of the next tracks in to indie then. thanks for ur response..

Great remix

And here I was looking at couple of your SSBM tunes last night and then you submit this today. The tune has a nice dub feel to it. Really great remix of the original piece though and it loops just perfectly. Really nice little remix.

The dub sounds give a soft feel the whole as in letting you know you are done with a stage and it is time to relax for a few minutes before moving onto the next level. The synth has a high cheesy feel to it that sounds very close to the original so excellent working there on that one too. The drums have a nice triplet pattern to them that I like here.

Overall, great remix, good times.

ganon95 responds:

yea, this is new stuff, not like my old "crappy" SSBM remix lol (im not a huge fan of my older music)

Not too repititive

Not completely sure of what your friend is saying but it doesn't sound too repetitive. I hear light vocals but not entirely sure of what it is that they are saying either sadly. The tune has a very nice and light dance revved feel. The song just kind of makes you feel relaxed.

The piano is nice and kind of has an icy feel to it as if letting you know it is alright to chill out and relax. The bass synth was nice on the ears and gave a feel of just sitting there and thinking about the week and what all has yet to come or even happen yet.

The drums are nice and dreamy in that they carry a great and powerful beat to them that helps move the rest of the song to help you head up to the cosmos and just enjoy the day too as you float along endlessly in space. The vocals are also nice, great and calm.

Overall, nice piece of music you did.

codbarley responds:

Thanks so much! The vocals are glitch vocals. they aren't supposed to say anything. great review!

Wonderful cover

I remember hearing the original awhile back and this one sounds just as wonderful when put into a classy orchestral format as you did. Everything sounds just right to me and I like how it goes here. Good times, good song. The song just makes you feel happy to hear it.

Wonderful cover

Love the battle like theme you made it into here. The tune is just great and kind of his a holiday like feel to it as well. Awesome cover, another enjoyable Yoshi theme remake and remix. Excellent work on this one.

The synth has a cosmic feel and gives a feel of yoshis falling all around to the stage to take on the battler in Super Smash Bros. The trumpets and piano also have a nice feel to them. The bass and drums were excellent here too, great kick off at the start.

Overall, awesome cover, very enjoyable.

Hilarious

I can see the hilariousness of this too since it has a completely quirky and funny feel to it too. Sonic Adventure 2 was probably one of the very few Sonic games I enjoyed since it had the chao garden and such.

The guitar sounds great. The bass and drums are also awesome. The synth has a an awesome sound to it too. Excellent loop too, nice work there.

Overall, awesome song.

Awkward sex

I can just imagine this playing during a very awkward sex scene in a movie with it being a close up of the dick and vagina the whole time while the two are dressed up very strangely in random clothing that was laying around. I hear some slight vocals though.

Sexy words I hear there. The synth has a quirky tone and feel to it as if making it all the more awkward in the bedroom for the couple. The bass is nice and helps motivate the beat to keep going. The drums are pleasing on the ears and give a great feel to me as well too. Very nicely done piece of work here. Quirky vocals too.

Overall, quirky and sexy.

YakovlevArt responds:

HAHAHA! If I saw that...

That is an interesting picture to involve this track in, haha!
But yeah, thanks for the kind words. Quirky is a great way of describing it =]

Thanks for the funny review!
-lol.

Great song

Haha, this song gives a feeling if wanting to dance, really nice piece of work, still enjoy hearing it. The tune is cheesy and yet so catchy at the same time, excellent work.
