Nicely worked

Kind of sounds like the start to a Rage Against the Machine, Def Leppard, or Guns 'n' Roses song actually with just some long awesome notes like that. Sounds like you would be in a band or something.

On another note, should try a guitar jam session where you try to make some solos or such. Would be interesting to hear what you could do there too.

Overall, cool jam session again.

My friend (who shall remain nameless) is in a band. A very well known one at that. Hence the quality of his work. I'm not and have no wish to be. We both do some good solo work too, kind of goes without saying, but we found we just click together. I could not find a better jam partner. Anyway there's plenty more coming soon.
Thanks for the great review.

Cheers gamejunkie.

Funky

I will agree on this piece as it does sound quite funky to me. So what kind of sound effect are you using on the guitar amp?

The sound kind of makes and feels like it would be the start to some sort of movie as well. I think if you really wanted to start trying to make some cool pieces, a nice idea would be play the guitar as normal. Then come back and alter the amp to where the bass is the main sound of the guitar and record with the top two strings. then in the audio recording program tune down the pitch a bit for a bass line effect.

Overall, funky.

gamejunkie responds:

Cheers. Again I think we had the recording level to high with this one it seems. It's a shame this is my fave piece from this 1st session. We're gonna try do one session a week, get as many little pieces together as we can. Also we are plugged into amps with a mic hooked in front of the amp, then both running into the Zoom controller, to give crisper overall sound. And besides minor adjustments on Zoom, no effects as such, its just all natural and all good, all played normal as you put it. A little pedal and just a touch of wah.

Thanks again, gj.

Volume fixture

I actually had to turn up my speakers quite a bit to hear this one sadly.

The guitar does not sound too awful bad and the sound is very clear and very, very crisp sounding to the ears.

The note play is great on the guitar.

Overall, just need to fix the volume or check your recording device to make sure the sound is always being recorded loud and clear so one will not need to adjust the speakers as much. Nice jam though.

gamejunkie responds:

Yeah thanks, we were messing around with a new Zoom controller, so it was more likely a problem at our end. It's not an easy piece of equipment to come to terms with, but we're getting there. Thanks for the review.

Cheers gj.

Sounds great

Considering I've been playing guitar for four years now I think this one sounds pretty nice. The way you play the guitar is quite great for this one too. Funny how it took you forever to finally submit something to the portal.

You have some superb guitar playing skills as well. What kind of guitar are you playing anyways?

I think if I were to have any complaints on this piece is that at the start it is a bit quieter but towards the later half of the song it is louder for the rest of the song.

Overall, nice guitar jam.

gamejunkie responds:

Thanks. Well my friend has about 50 years experience. Yeah well it was about time I contributed something and my friend thought it would be cool. **Correction here. This one was done on a Fender Stratocaster**

Thanks for the great review. Much obliged.
Cheers gamejunkie.

Have to say that this piece was pretty cool actually and I like this one quite a lot too. Sit there and listen for endless hours and you would still never be bored of it either. That is just wicked.

The guitar sounds pretty great here and the use of the killswitch and other sounds is great. The bass is very light yet smoothly incredible here. Have no idea why but I feel most of the focus is on the drums since it does a lot of sporadic fills throughout the song.

The light use of a keyboard is also pretty cool.

Overall, yup, this song is hardcore alright!

TheRealSam responds:

Ahahah thanks a lot man! Yeah I always try to produce songs that never gets repetitive, kinda hard but always totaly worth it :)

Sounds pretty nice

Gah did I hate that level too. That thing took me so many tries before I found a method that worked. They seem to come after you when you are doing nothing so I would pick up barrels and wait for a moment before tossing them.

The drums are real fast and pretty nicely worked out on this piece. The synth bass sounds real groovy. the several high pitched notes I hear remind me of the theme from Booster's Tower in SMRPG :Legend of the Seven Stars. Then the tune just sounds really great overall though.

Overall, good remake.

Hey! Cool you're reviewing me again! lol, this level was indeed hard! but the music was great! btw, I noticed you always give a 9 in your reviews(i come across music when sometimes I saw reviews of you on other music i listened) it's kinda funny :P

Good rock

I like this piece. Kind of reminds me of some animes as well. Also foreign lyrics are foreign to me. What language are you guys singing in anyways? Kind of sounds like ska to me as well. Very nice beat.

The lyrics and vocals are cool even if they are foreign to me. The guitar sounds really smooth and pleasing to me. The bass line just sounds really awesome and I like how it plays almost all the time providing a cool rhythm to go along with. The drums are great and have a good rhythm. The trumpet was nice as well. I liked the accordion you added in there.

Overall, great song, sounds awesome.

Timohi responds:

Thanks for review.
The language is Lithuanian, we are from Lithuania, but we are singing also in Russian or Polish and sometimes even English.

We're glad you like our music.

Awesome

Good grief I used to have so much fun playing that game. The only boss level I really hated was the second hotel mission where you had to beat that giant manta. The more it broke up the harder it became to get rid of as well.

The cello sounds quite amazing here and provides a very big bass line. The drums sound more epic if anything else too. The four french horns sound pretty cool here. The whole piece gives you a frantic feeling all the time like you have to hurry very quickly!!

Overall, great remake.

Ironclover responds:

I hated that one and the one where you were timed to clean up the whole beach. Thank you very much :)

Sounds great

Well for a remix I do say this sounds nice. The piano is just really nice and pleasing on the ears. Then the synth kind of makes you wake up and feel a bit like partying as well. The bass is very ambient and calm. The drums kind of make me think of Mario Kart Double Dash. Very nice remix.

KennyChu responds:

Thanks for the comment.
I glad you have enjoyed it!

Nice

The drums here sound really cool and chillingly great and play at a good tempo as well. The synth sounds overly happy and quite amazing as well to which I have to say I like this one. The bass line comes last and it sounds pretty great so not too awful bad there.

Wonder what the final piece will be life. Kind of makes me think of people just getting ready to party and they are gathering up party supplies to take to the party with them.

Overall, good work in progress.

ravenline responds:

Thanks! I think i will finish this one. :)
I like your image there, btw, haha :3
