Well this one was rather short but kind of made me think of Kingdom Hearts one and two where hitting a foe at a higher level would deplete life bars of the bosses rather quickly and seeing how Darrell would easily get some get some strong hits in, makes me think of Sephiroth a little more too. Nice little boss battle and cool to hear "Maybe I'm a Lion" from Final Fantasy VIII which was Leon's theme.

The graphics here were nice and the shield and potion looked a bit like clip art to me but everything else seemed to be your own original work which is excellent. The sound effects were also very good to hear and I wonder how it shall go down when the boss battle continues in the next episode of the Adrellia Village series. Nicely done.

Overall, nice little boss battle and battle music.

Thanks! At the time, Kingdom Hearts was a main inspiration for the battle scenes with the life bar and whatnot. "Maybe I'm a Lion" also seemed like good battle music. The potion and Darrell's sword were clip art, but the shield was drawn in Flash.

I appreciate your review.

This was another nicely put together sprite movie. The credit music reminds me I stopped watching Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt halfway through, I think I should try to get back to watching it all since I really liked watching it.

The sprites are not edited at all but that isn't a problem since without characters it is hard to give a story isn't it? The intro was pretty nice since it showed stuff from the previous three episodes that had happened to Robbie the Goomba and Yoshi.

The story seemed rather simple in that Yoshi left out one of his berries and a mouse got it. Robbie gets scared and falls down the stairs getting temporary amnesia and recovers. Then the mouse appears again at the end and Yoshi simply tears through their house trying to get his berry back. Short and humorous as always.

The voice acting here was great. The person who did Tails sounded pretty happy too. The music that was used gave a good feel of watching old retro characters actually being able to speak on old game systems had they allowed for voices at all. Credit music as I said earlier gave me a bit of a nostalgic feel and kind of makes you feel happy at the same time.

Overall, nice work on this episode. Wonder how the next episode will go.

Once again I thank you for your review. I can always count on the review crew to actually take the time to make a meaningful review. A few other people have as well but yours is done on a profesional level. So thanks once again. I hope you stick around for season 2. Which will be coming out later this year.

I found that to be fairly entertaining and it loops perfectly since once it reached the end I thought it would end yet it simply starts all over again. The only non looping thing here is the music which is pretty well. That or is looping a part of it and I did not notice it.

The animation was very simplistic in design and yet very interesting at the same time. Almost as if you are just going through someone's mind as they slept. However the dream never truly ends and they are stuck in a cycle that will possibly never end for them.

The music playing seems fitting since it gives that feeling of weirdness and at the same time a feel of them being in a dream state where despite all they see, none of it is truly real.

Overall, excellently done loop and very interesting piece.

THANKS! Im super happy now :3

I actually liked this one as it felt rather well done and a nice overall presentation of the story. Kind of makes you feel sad for the paper man with the music that accompanies this animation. Very sad yet good story. Even though bad things always happen to him, he tries to make the best of the moment and carry on with his life.

The animation seemed really simple and in a way felt like it was mostly tweens sometimes. The backgrounds were very nicely drawn, looks like maybe a few hours were put into each. Sadly in the end, he never got home as it got blown away and then a storm came and blew him far away from there. Very sad piece.

The music that plays gives a slightly happy feel to this even though a lot of sad things happen to him. The speakonia voice was also kind of nice but I think a human voice could have also been nice too.

Overall, great graphics, good story, nice music.

I'm glad you liked the cartoon, I was surprised to get such a high rating from a Review Crew member. I definitely have to balance out the depressingness in future episodes.

Well this one seemed alright but I felt that the gears cut scene was used a bit too much. Where did it come from anyways? Then him already knowing that he got it wrong before seeing the door is a little weird. Could have included a wrong sound click and a correct sound click to show that he did it right.

The animation hasn't changed much here as usual. The voice acting was nice to hear as usual. Hilarious how Drake has heard of Brutus yet had no idea that was Brutus at the end. Wonder how the boss battle for #11 will be going for him too.

Overall, seemed to be alright, the 3D gear scene... would be nice if you said where it came from.

MistyE responds:

The 3D gear scene comes from "Neopets: The Darkest Faerie."

Well this one had almost no voice acting but this one wasn't too bad at all. Although as for song I think I would have chosen Seek and Destroy instead as it would have been slightly more fitting if you ask me. Aside from that, this one turned out better.

The thought bubbles help fill in the void of no voice acting for the most part which works for the most part here. The animation was also very nice here and the shading in the background seems to have gone over well too. Very nicely done though for the sixth episode.

Overall, much better.

Something that seems to be a problem here is the voice acting, not necessarily as in the voice acting is bad but the microphones when speaking seem to produce static to much later into this one. Could probably try to buy a filter (usually cost around $10) and put it in front of the mic to cut out the static and some popping noises usually heard when speaking a little too close to the mic.

The animation is the same too but there is no problem there. Except maybe when it shows Drake sleeping since it didn't zoom into his face clearly and moved a bit right and kept zooming in then zooming out. If it says he is having a weird dream, then why not give a thought bubble to show what it might be about so it will not seem as pointless to the viewer.

The story seems to be progressing in a decent manner since Drake is helping that older guy out to take care of some problems around the castle so that he can get ready to learn spells and the such later. Not too bad for some progress.

Overall, the static produced by the microphone later in when Brutus spoke seemed to be pretty annoying on the ears so possibly get that fixed for later episodes would be great.

It's not the microphone, it's Flash but thanks.

Actually, the scene at Brutus' station WAS his dream.

Thanks for your review.

Same

Well it felt close to the same except for the out takes and the Jack Black power sliding in yet not being the wizard teacher. Interesting events.

I found the voice acting good and funny how the guy had a little trouble pronouncing that one word too. Songs used were also good.

The animation looked nice here.

Overall, same as before but still humorous.

Music is there

I found the music here lightened the atmosphere and made it all slightly humorous at some points such as all the knights walking with Drake and the Dragonforce song was playing. Decent length and good work here.

The animation here is the same as when I just saw part eight a little bit ago so still nice to see that. The intermission text frames were funny since they had entirely unfitting music playing. Did not get the idea of young Brutus at the end either.

The music and voice acting here was a little better.

Overall, not bad.

MistyE responds:

Thanks. I chose this episode because I felt it was just right. Not short nor long, though I'll request everything in order next time :)

Young Brutus at the end was a start of a three-part - but two-part now since I self-deleted one of the parts - exposition about Brutus' backstory and it may seem like I wasted time on it since we don't utilize that in retro Adrellia Village but it will help us understand why Brutus is the way he is.

Appreciate your review.

Seemingly getting there

Well at least they are making process and getting towards Adrellia Village anyways. Nice how to previous part shows them preparing and this episode is just a little chatter, music, and then going on their way to the place they must go and check on.

The animation seems to remain the same as usual which is perfectly fine. Only problem I have is credits at the end. Instead of skipping back to the start have it stop there and let the music play while the viewer sees who all helped make this and where the music came from.

The music and voice acting was nice so good work there. Only recommendation is moving away from the mic a bit so you won't hear the popping sounds every time you hear the letter p.

Overall, nice and short.

MistyE responds:

Yep, this episode is a little "break episode" as I like to call it. No epic battles to be found here. Interesting input on the credits. I'll tell my voice actors since I don't voice the characters. Thanks.
