Short

Well it makes for a nice loop anyways, real short and cheesy. Would make nice background music for some animation I think, nice work here.

Qelaion responds:

Thanks man.

Great remake

I have to say, I think did quite the job in remaking this one. I remember when I played Yellow that I always got Charmander here, good times. That and I loved the glitch where you could lose to the rocket guy and get a lot of nuggets from him, fun times. Love this remake though, kind of sad how there is a half second added keeping it from being a perfect loop.

the bastard half second! I apologize

Works for me

Reminds me of just how epic the battles were, like how you managed to spice things up a bit here as well. The original beat is still just there a bit but now it sounds more like a ritual party blast piece.

The drums are highly wacky and pretty crazy here. The synth is very nicely redone version of the original and I liked that. I liked how you added a choir to the mix here, makes it sound truly epic as in it is the fight of your life. The bass line is very nice and flows well.

Overall, a very cool cover remix of a good battle song.

Cam3leon responds:

Thanks for the thorough feedback as always! I actually sampled the ENTIRE original track, nothing recreated. Only things that I created were the beats, the bassline, and choir. But thank you, I was trying to recreate the frantic nature of the fights, as well as go for a completely different spin on a classic melody. Glad you appreciated it so well!

Good times

Reminds me a lot of Super Mario 64 when you found the secret Peach slide and just had fun going down the road. This is just a really cool and nicely done cover, really like what you did here.

The drums were very nicely done and give that feel of it going to be fun yet super hard as well, awesome. The bass line is subtle, smooth, and quite amazing in this one. Really love the xylophone and piano working together to create a wonderful tune.

Really amazing and cool cover.

Overall, great times, great cover.

Shanath responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. :] SM64 was really an amazing game, glad I could bring some memories back with this.

Sick remix

All I have got to say is that this is one of the sickest remixes I have ever heard on here so far. Really enjoy how you made a sad tune into a creepy hip tune. Nice one.

mrbluejay responds:

thanks man

Decent

Its just my opinion but I feel this doesn't truly capture the spirit of Saffron City completely. It still sounds nice though I guess. The tune reminds me of the city anyways, fun times beating up Team Rocket.

The high synth notes are alright and ok with me. The bass line is very deep and wet so nice work on that there. The secondary synth here sounds quite pleasing and I enjoy the rhythm of it.

Overall, pretty good, I guess the only thing lacking is drums.

madmadness65 responds:

The thing is, I don't want to make an exact remake from the games. They have to be remixed to make it actual fan-made material. Also thanks for the useful info, I may change some of my newer tunes up a bit.

Cool

Well this is a cool piece of music to enjoy I suppose. The tune itself is just quite great and very enjoyable.

The bass is quite loud but really nice here and provides the action of the song in my opinion. Then you got both synths providing a great fronting track that makes and adds suspense to the mix as you have no idea what lies ahead. The drums sound like simple triplets which is nice as well.

Overall, cool piece.

JohnLeprechaun responds:

Wow, thanks. I was a little worried about the bass, but I'm glad it worked out alright. Thanks for listening. :D

Nice remake

What is that instrument at the start? Its cool yet makes it all sound silly at the same time which I suppose is nice to hear though, makes it lighter and nicer on the ears.

The piano was very nice here and very relaxing. The drums were simple and kept a great tempo rhythm on this one. The beat reminds me of just how much fun those games were even after learning about Pokemon creepypastas. The bass line is very soft and subtle here.

Overall, very nice and nostalgic cover of a good town theme.

Radidsh responds:

The instrument at the start is the "RobinHood" instrument in Fruity Loops v. 3.56 with the "Fruity Reeverb" VST plugin effect attached.

I am very happy with how the piano turned out in this project too! Actually, I am happy about the entire project. x3

Thank you for the kind and analytic review, I am glad you liked it!

Sounds great

This is pretty nice for a cover of an anime song without vocals. The tone of it seems to be a bit harsh but its all cool to me in my opinion when done in this style. This is just a very nice cover.

The guitar sounds great and I like the solo notes that get hit from time to time. The keyboard sounds very nice and high pitched in this one, nice work there. The bass is very smooth and helps the beat march on. The drums are the last piece and I enjoy the rhythm from them as they make it all the better.

Overall, very smooth and cool cover, nicely done.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

It may sound a bit harsh for two reasons, one... I have a metal guitar tone, which may make something more rocky sound a little "well-done" so to speak. Or it could simply because I didn't spend enough time mixing it.
But really, I just did these 3 songs for fun, so I'm not too worried about making the flawless.

Thanks for the review!

Great

Hahahaha, this song is just hilarious. It has a really cool rhythm as well, it just sounds funny yet amazing at the same time as well. You have a nice sense of humor with this one. I like the title of it.

I like the vocals, just constant jokes about sex in a very funny manner. The synth here is quite nice and sounds very cheery and nice at the same time to me as well. The bass line is quite pleasing and good to hear. The drums are greatly done here and play in a great manner. The piano at the end was a ncie way to end.

Enjoyed the buildups.

Overall, hilarious and well composed.

wyldfyre1 responds:

Yay, thanks for the review.
