Awesome boss

Well this sounds like it would make an excellent boss song with the lyrics added in as well. Who was doing the singing here anyways? The song just has a great feel and reminds me of Dracula from Castlevania a whole lot too. Very well done piece too.

The vocals and lyrics are very great here. The guitar sounds really fast and quite awesome as I like it a lot too. The bass is groovy and quite well done. The drums are very cool and the double bass beat is great too and makes me happy to hear. I liked the use of synth here too making the beat all that much better.

The screaming vocals were awesome and the chorus/guitar breakdown sounded really nice while the synth in the background gives a soft feel to the beat in a good way, nice.

Overall, awesome Castlevania tribute piece I think.

Thank you for your well thought review and your overall overview. It is nice to see someone pick it apart and find what parts are your favorite. We try to give you as many options to find something you like and I am glad you have so many.

I do the singing and lyric writing, but everything is done within and for my(our) band Saturnalia.

Cheery

The acoustic guitar here is very nice and when the finger slides it kind of makes me think of rain hitting on a window on one of those rainy days where it all seems sad but the beat seems to cheer you up though and seems very happy too. Nice to see it is in the top 5 for the week in the audio portal as well making it all the better.

The tune makes you think of a nice guy just trying to help others even if things turn out differently. The piano is a very nice addition and gives a solid happy feel to the song, kind of see the guy giving his best friends hugs even though they don't care about him as much any more either as time goes by.

Kind of heard a bit of an electronic sound in there as well like some kind of bass. Nice.

Overall, very happy song, kind of see lyrics with this though. Nice piece.

Decibel responds:

Yeah, Glad you like it :)

There are some electronic elements in it but no bass unfortunately, forgot to add that.

The guy below you said he's gonna add some lyrics |

Neat

Well this one sounds quite neat anyways. The start sounds like a calm radio recording of some beat I think which is quite neat indeed. The tune gives a feeling of great joy and happiness as well. Kind of reminds me of Star Fire and Terra from Teen Titans, good times.

The synth was very relaxing and happy sounding as well. The drums remain cooled down and really peaceful on the ears. The bass is good too. Really like the dub sounds though as at times it sounds kind of like a voice to me. Then when the full dub kicks in it sounds a lot like a boss song to me actually which is pretty cool I think.

Overall, awesome piece of work I think, really like it a lot.

Teen Titans was a fucking. awsome. show. :D

Glad you like it man....thanks for the review :)

Relax

Really enjoy the relaxing tone of this song. Gives a feeling of warmth and that everything will be alright as you hug your best friend who is crying because they will be leaving you soon for a university. A montage shows what becomes of the two of you over several months taking completely different paths in life but meeting up several years later and putting the band together at last as you both had promised each other.

The piano is very calming and makes you feel rather happy as you listen to it make you feel good. The synth is nicely done here as well. The windy background effect is really nice here. The drums are cool and kind of give a feeling moving forward in time with hope.

Overall, very calm and happy piece.

Thanks for the review!

As a side note, RRC seems to have a lot of active reviewers atm, great :D

Good talent

You have a very good voice talent and see you use good amount of accents as well too. Really nice voices though and I like them. Would be cool if you put down a list of where all the voices came from as well so people can watch and appreciate them as well.

Overall, nice.

Thankyou very much! I didn't think people would care too much from the source of the voices. Half of them I wrote, the other half came from auditions or other various projects! I may include a list because you mentioned it though :)

Thanks a bunch!

Pretty cool

Feels like a retro video game boss song beginning to start up as you head to the final battle. I am guessing that buzzing going back and forth from the start was meant to represent an airship right? Very nice touch there, gives the feel of you flying into the last battle really. The tune has a battle feel which is good.

The airship sound is very nice to hear. The dub sounds and the drums give a feeling of subtle piece and allow you to know things are about to get real chaotic as well. The whistling and orchestra were really nice to listen to as they give the dynamic feel of battle to the song.

Overall, very dynamic pre-final boss song.

Retro video game boss music? That would be a pretty good application of this music, even though it's not how I intended it to sound... I hope a Flash author will be able to find a use for it as pre-battle music, then :)

I'm glad you like the 'airship bass,' at first I wasn't really sure about it when I wrote the line, but I left it in because it grew on me as I kept working on the track. Automation panning by note, by hand, is really tiresome! haha

Thanks for the review,

Much a story

Well I like how it starts it kind of feels like you are watching a movie start up with the text showing the title and such. It shows a person in a cloak looking over the city while a helicopter passes over him standing on a rooftop as they try to find out why strange creatures are attacking the city. He looks up and takes notice of them simply grunting before jumping off the roof and warping to the ground to get away.

The helicopter leaves and soon a dark creature emerges beginning to destroy the helicopter. The figure looks up hoping they can end it all soon as they run up the building towards the creature in question. Before he can begin the battle though more helicopters come thinking he was responsible.

He holds out the swords he created from his mind long ago knowing he must try avoiding the helicopters while destroying the mysterious foe as well. The battle begins but can he actually make it away as well?

I like how this seems to have a bit of an industrial feel to it actually. Gives a strange feel of something is going on there.

The chorus is very calming and sounds nice. I like the watering down sound I hear in the back that sounds a bit like rubber being flicked and watching it rebound a lot. The violin is very calming and well put too. The drums are nice and smooth as they provide a solid beat that keeps the mystery swordsman moving.

Overall, very nice story like song, I like it.

From your reviews, you seem to have a predisposition towards action or horror-like scenarios, by imagining them. I think your visions are pretty original and I realize they could go well with the track as well. Heh, thank you for the compliments and review, I can always count on the review request club (that's why I still have its link stuck in my forum signature). ;D

Chaotic

Just like Discord is!! However in the end, the power of happiness and friendship gets rid of him once more and nets that team a second window pane dedicated to them. This tune really has a nice feel to it. Would really enjoy seeing it used as a boss track too since that is mainly how it feels here. Like how this dubstep is not very heavy on the dubbing which can be annoying in some cases.

The synth sounds quite nice and I like the after bass effect it seemed to be carrying. The drums sounds really good here as well and have a deeply retro feel to them as well. The dub sounds are just kind of coming into the song and making it pick up in a nice way. Almost making it feel like a heavy boss battle piece.

Also like how it starts in dub and goes down then goes back into dub, kind of gives the illusion the song will end only for the dub sounds to come right back to your ears.

Overall, you should see the look on your faces!! Nice piece.

coleknows responds:

I thought that would of been perfect to add that discord clip in the song :P
I sent this one to seth and i have a strong feeling it will be on EQ daily. Its not going to be on here though sadly. Its soundcloud but still....yeah.

And you got what i was trying to do exactly right. I was trying to make it sound chaotic and random like how he is. I wish it was longer but god it was such a pain to make this though because of all the new stuff i tried. Now, on to the trance stuff :P

Seems alright

Although as I hear the whole piece it kind of just ... feels real generic. I don't really feel any kind of story and see any scenes being painted in my head as I hear this. Can kind of see a grassy field and someone falling up for some reason as I hear this one though.

The drums seem alright and kind of make me think of the Everfree Forest anyways. The very light piano in the back sounds as if it were trying to be creepy as well. The dub sounds were ok I guess.

Overall, not too bad for a start anyways but kind of falls on the bland side, not too bad.
