Funky

Kind of does have that funky jazz feel as if I had just entered an old looking club and people are giving me odd looks for simply walking in there. Enter the wrong room/bar much?

The saxophone, bass guitar, and violins, along with drums all seem to come together and it sounds great. Got no reason to not like something like this, it's good and kind of helps you feel relaxed and chilled out.

Would make for a great menu song or credit music anyways.

Better

Although the first couple of seconds are not needed at all. The beat seems to come together a lot better and feels more solid. The bass is a lot lower which is good but it still seems a bit louder than all else. I would simply suggest lowering the overall decibel by 2 as far I am concerned.

the song has a really nice video game feel to it though actually. The drums, and synths seem to sound more audible and pretty cool this time around actually. Nice work on fixing up the song as well. Good luck on future tunes.

Nog194 responds:

Thanks, I appreciate your comment. I will work on it a little more!

Crazy

Well I have to say the title is pretty unfitting but this kind of makes you go "OMG" because of how freaking incredible it is for a loop. Sounds a bit spacey too actually. Kind of makes you think something very weird is going down and kind of makes me think of heavy chip tuning at the end where it gets quick and erratic at once.

The bass, synth, and drums make a weird yet awesome loop. Good work here.

HumanDrumMachine responds:

Thanks!

Rocking

This starts out feeling real soft and then it becomes a great piece of metal that chew you up and spits you back up born anew to know what you are once again and not to be sad. The guitar riff sounds very good and like how it sounds crunchy as well. The drums are simple and hold off on their own as a cool beat to me.

The overall flow seems to come together and tell its own story as well. Kind of reminds me of Sick Puppies but this song is very cool. If you plan to redo it then you should try to add some vocals since it sounds like it would be cool with some layed down on it.

Otherwise, great piece of metal. Keep on rocking. \m/

Deathcalypse responds:

Thanks man! I will think about vocals. \m/

Very good remake

This sounds very close to the original actually. I thought the song was called something else though but I guess it was just me then. The drums and synth come togehter and make a successful boss song. The bass and orchestra sound kick in and then you get reminded of just how hard and annoying it was to beat Kefka who was pretty much insane all along and absorbing the espers for no reason.

This is an excellent piece though and I commend you for that much. Thanks for bringing back a few good and hard memories of Kefka during the final battle. I really am looking forward to more songs from you. Keep having fun with them.

HighwindLegend responds:

Actually, Kefka is from FF6, but thanks all the same lol!

Ever been that close to space?

"I feel like I have been here before..."

Probably because he almost died in SA2B but this is a very sick remix and remake of a cool song. Aside from Metal Madness part 1 and Egg Fleet this was one of my favorite levels in the whole game to play again and again despite it being very hard with Team Dark and Chaotix.

The rhythm, drums, synth, and bass, all come together and recreate a beautifully chaotic scene from one of the hardest levels in the whole game especially on Hard Mode where you only had one chance to do each level. This song just brings back some good memories of when I played that game a lot.

Excellent work here.

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Oh the times I wish I could go to space myself. LOL

I love this level with Team Dark. AND Chaotix. It's a good challenge. Sonic's is ok but kinda easy, and we all know how way too easy Rose's is.

I'm glad you liked the song. This here's a REAL review, and I'm glad you noticed all the details I put in. You must be some sort of music guru to actually pay attention to that sort of thing lol.

Thanks again

Sweet remix

At first I thought it was just a remakes of the original but then the piano and other sounds come in and recreate the beat in a fresh new way. Love the double beats from the drums and claps, snaps, and other variously amazing sounds. The bells for the soft parts are cool and I have never figured out what the voice was ever saying actually.

The overall flow seems to come together as a fresh new beat on a already good song from a game. Really have to say, you did some great effort here to make such a cool remixed remake of a song. Would love to hear some more.

DreamEater responds:

Haha thank you bro ^^;

I have been a big fan of this song since I was much younger, so I really wanted to put a solid amount of effort into "Re-inventing" this song; It can be hard to add to something that is already so great.

Thanks for you review, and I hope to read more from you in the future ^^

Piano and metal

Excellent piece of work actually. Starts with just a piano and then Japanese instruments start in and the guitar and drums sound amazing as well. The song has a very well put together story in itself actually. Kind of gives me a feel like two assassins had just fighting over someone they cared about deeply with the winner escorting the girl/guy they love to safety away from the burning arena.

Really like how about halfway through it picks up and becomes really heavy and awesome all at once. The solo sounds pretty tight as well. I would have to say that overall you seemed to have done an excellent job on this piece. Looking forward to more mind bending solos in the future.

DanJohansen responds:

I absolutely love fiddling with Piano and Asian instruments, they're so organic.
Thanks for listening to the piece!

Solid laying.

Has a nice and soft feel to it that still makes you have a good feel of getting up and dancing somewhat slowly with people that are actually your own friends. The synth, ambient buildup, pounding drums, and everything just come together and create a wonderful tune for everyone to get up and enjoy as well.

The flow of the song makes me feel like I just entered a dance and was intrigued by the many people but I was soon alone after discovering there was no one I knew there. I head to the bar and get a soda and look around and then head to the center and bust a move getting me a few chicks but I turn them all done because I don't know them.

Overall, a beautiful dance song, excellent work as usual.

Mich responds:

I suppose I can see where you're coming from with the feel you get with the song. It isn't quite the most jumpy dance song around, with its mellowness and all. I can actually imagine it being one of the "slow down" songs at a party, when that party's almost over.

I'm glad you like the track, and thanks for the review. :)

Sad and dramatic

It does have a very dramatic feel to it. Would go great as background music for dramatic reading of something or as background music in a sad part of the movie where a hero or friend just got killed.

Really like when you began to speed it up though as it sounded really beautiful. Good job on this short and dramatically sad piece.

Ghecko responds:

Totally man. I was crying like a bitch when I made this. Not really, but ya.
