Subtle

Starts out very calm here. The ambient sound of a 70s beat I see. Actually this sounds like a beat from a horror movie in the 70s to 80s. Kind of makes me think of Phantasm which was alright but never really made any sense to me at all. The whole beat is just completely creepy yet ambient at the same time.

The drums kind of creep you out a bit and make you wish to hide under your bed as if something was coming after you. The synth and bass lines are great here since they darken the tone of the song greatly. Like how around the two minute mark you added another synth that kind of makes it feel a little less scary and a bit more on the corny side. Then it goes up to being light but it still feels a bit creepy.

Overall, creepy horror tune.

lmfao, I never thought of this song as creepy. I tried to make more of chill background music. I guess I failed. :P

Relaxing boss battle

Have no real idea why but I can see this as an excellent boss battle song all the way to the end. Kind of reminds me of the first and last Seymour battles from Final Fantasy X, both were intense and annoying since he kept getting healed constantly.

The loud bass line comes in clear and sounds very nice so good work there on this. That turned out to be a really nice charm here. The synth lines both sounded incredible and the drums finish it all off wit ha relaxing tone to make you feel better if you had a bad day for the day.

Overall, soothing bass line and boss battle beat!!

Wow thank you for this nice review :)
I dont know much to say lol since you summed up most of it. And as you heard, I spent quite awhile mastering the bass to make it sound good... And I was in no way aiming for some boss battle theme but im glad you think it would fit there :)
So im glad you liked it!

Very strange

Kind of makes you feel creepy in a lot of ways for unknown reasons. I could see this being used with Resident Evil as well. As if you had no real idea of what was going on and the whole world was closing in on you and beginning to close in on you.

The dubstep wobbles sound great as usual. Nice to hear a Clint Eastwood quote since it seems completely fitting here. The drums are soothing along with the weird synth line you have going on as well here. This whole beat is very eerie and kind of makes you feel creeped out.

Overall, nice.

Relaxed

This just makes you feel real laid back and relaxed incredibly which works out nicely for me I guess since I don't hear many upbeat songs like this often. It doesn't sound incredibly upbeat but it does make you feel pleasant and relaxed as well too. So great work in that part.

The many classical instruments I can never recognize come together as if forming a friendship and just think of how to make people feel better and this beat feels great in a lot of ways as well too. I really think you did an excellent job here on this piece.

Overall, bliss.

Nasty >:D

Wow this had a freaking great start to it and then it kicks up to an amazingly better beat than I was thinking of as well. Sounds kind of like a JDance kind of song as well kind of. Sounds like something I would hear on DDR except I have no dance pad I can use sadly so that is a little less fun to have while dancing.

The synths both sound great as they trade up with each other in between to voice coming in and saying "nasty" which was cool. The fast bass line and drums were also rather amazing. I liked the part where the beat got incredibly fast here. Kind of felt like a running chase scene moment there as well.

Overall, nasty!!

JDance haha sweet!

Man I should totally load this into DDR, thanks for the idea :D

Yeah man, Hardcore is the best for fast stuff :D

Glad you liked it man! I'll be submitting a House track soon so keep an eye out :D

Sounds cool

I get a space feeling from this tune which is kind of cool I suppose. They way the full beat flows is very nicely worked here. Almost like a kid getting a lot of candy at the store. Vocals seem kind of cool I suppose. Although in my opinion Nate sounds average to bad sounding with his vocals to me.

The synth sounds very nice here and I like how they flow nicely. The bass and drums are cool although they don't play as much as the synth and the remix dubstep voice effects I hear towards the middle and end which make the song feel very weird.

Overall, this turned out to be a weird tune with some vocals anyways. Not bad.

Alright I suppose

However the build up with the guitar and bass was very long and I could hear very light synth notes coming in slowly but not very loud at first and then it got louder and louder and suddenly the drums enter. Stage Set! GO!!

The drums sound pretty sweet here. However I would have suggested making the drums go a lot faster and be a whole lot more sloppy sounding for a cool effect. Also as for the bass kicks I would suggest a lot of triplet kick notes for an even more cool effect. The guitar riff is pretty sweet here and I enjoyed how that managed to turn out here anyways. The bass line is also very nicely cooked up here.

Overall, nice metal song. Good for a mosh pit.

Video game

I can truly see this as a video game song. Makes me feel incredibly happy but also makes me think of the Legend of Zelda at the same time with whatever those high note pieces are. I think this could make a great loop for a game. Possibly as credit music or a boss theme or even just a level that the player has to go through with. Great work.

The drums sound great here with the little triplet notes I hear. The synth sounds awesome but then suddenly not so much when it cuts off at the end sadly. Could have made a great loop if you had let the end segment run the full course of itself which is great. The tune altogether sounds awesome!!

Overall, great video game beat!

Thinking I should maybe rework the ending and repost it. Once I become ambitious enough. Which could be quite some time :P Glad you liked it!

Great piece

To be honest there was such a large amount of instruments used here I don't think I could tell what parts make this song sound good and what parts make it sound awesome. I can see this being used in a very old turn based RPG game for the SNES as well so you did something right here.

The drums and orchestra sound like bliss here as they start up the beat and provide happiness to the tune. The steel guitar sounds quite astounding and well done so not much losing there anyways, cool. The many other amazing instruments that I hear kind of just feel like ear candy and invite the listener to just sit down and enjoy the beat while the play some games and whatnot.

Overall, I feel impressed with this piece.

Step responds:

Thanks! You focused your review around the instruments used which is great because I find this to be one of my best in terms of instrumentation.

I worked on the drums so I'm glad you like them! Echo worked on the orchestra except the violin at the end and I can't seem to remember whose idea it was to use the steel guitar :P.

Really glad you enjoyed this song. Thanks for reviewing man!

Dark feely

This has a nice and dark feel to it as if you were stuck in your own room and unable to leave due to some energy locking you in. You soon find out how to get out and quickly work on trying to get out. Also this is a perfect loop so great work there.

The harp gives a light feel to the whole situation whereas the bass line gives it a dark feel as if you may be trapped there forever. I like how those two kind of work to cancel each other out in a funny way I suppose. Then the xylophone provides a dark carnival feel to it so that is also nice to hear.

Overall, this one turned out well.
