Sounds soft

Well I liked the start anyways. It was just soft orchestra instruments playing and making you feel as if a battle was over, we wait for the smoke to clear to see who is left. The music goes the full way and as the smoke clears both of them cloaked ninja swordsmen are left standing with gashing wounds everywhere. they rush at each other awaiting to see who will fall first.

The synth has a really strange and spaced out feeling with it. Kind of gives a feeling as if the battle was dark yet dramatic as well causing the two to keep going at each other for a long time too. The drums give a great feel as if they were going really fast at each other too. The bass offers a piece of mind here as well.

Overall, sounds like a cool battle beat anyways.

Thanks for reviewing my stuff :D

It's always nice to hear a visual of my songs!

Sleep now, hush now

Yea, I can see her singing this piece anyways. Kind of has a eurobeat to it which seems to be pretty sweet anyways. The beat kind of has a fresh feel to it as if Fluttershy might be adding a twist to it or something anyways. Really nice remix of the lullaby though, only thing missing now is vocals, lol.

The piano sounds great and it seems to sound just fine as it acts as a subtle vocal piece along with the synth as well, nicely worked. The bass is soothing and very calm, kind of makes you think of a soft voice. The drums are pumped up though so it works for me anyways.

Overall, excellent remake.

Thank you! ^^

I am glad you didn't notice it was hella repitative. You would not geuss how hard it is to remix a like 7 second song.

Soothing metal

I liked how the piano at the start kind of relaxes and gets you into the feel of being in a dream and very relaxed. You just feel as if even though bad things tend to happen that everything will be alright soon after all. The guitar sounds pretty soft here as it plays some heavy chords that kind of make you think something chaotic was happening in your dream that you were having to fight against for some reason.

The bass is great and gives the guitar and drums a backing beat as the beat moves on. Towards the end I could see some kind of fight being stopped by some giant being or something of that nature. The drums play a very simple rhythm that just gives the feel of everything is going to be alright.

Overall, this is a soothing metal piece.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

There actually isn't any bass in this song at all, my guitar tone simply has some bass heavy undertones. I was debating putting bass in it, but I didn't want to over-complicate the song and make it feel too active... Being a more laid back tune and all.
Same with the drums, I was thinking of spicing it up to give a little more of a metal feel... but again, didn't want to over-complicate or make it too active.

Glad you like it though, thanks for the review.

Strange dancing

Well I see that this piece kind of makes you think of someone possibly baking in the sun as they look for the entrance to the cave rumored to be nearby anyways. They search and search and have to use the keyblade to locate the entrance hidden by a mound of sand.

The bass is very light and subtle here. The synth has a cool crystal feel to it as if the desert were cooking the person alive and very slowly at the same time too for some reason. The light dubstep sounds were pretty cool too I think. The drums add a nice finishing touch to the song and help it move along.

Overall, nice desert sounding piece.

RandomDanceOfHappy responds:

i dident see it at first but now that i think about it yeaaa thats what it makes me think of hmmm

Interesting dubstep

Well it starts out innocently enough before blowing out to dubstep. The synth and bass along with the claps and drums sounded pretty nice actually. The tune kind of sounds like it would make an awkward yet nicely done level song anyways. The very light dubstep sounds kind of get you moved over to wanting to hear full blast dub sounds with time.

I can kind of get the feeling of being stuck in a rain storm as the song moves along and you search for a place where you can get out of the rain and relax for a moment anyways. The bass gives a feeling of warmth too. The tune just sounds really well done.

Overall, nice light dubstep piece.

RandomDanceOfHappy responds:

i needa make the main dub step part fit better but yea i think it all sounds well balanced since i never use limiters
now to mix dub step with hardcore XD

Impressive

Sounds great. I think the only thing missing would be drums for some reason. Nice to see another song made using various Windows sounds I see. Really nice little mix I think. Can't wait to hear more.

The main sounds used that keeps going up in a loop sounds pretty charming and too be honest I have yet to go after the cave guardians in the games too. The bass line is cool sounding here since it remains solid the whole way. Lastly is a light drum sound that makes this even cooler.

Overall, nice Windows sound remix of a Pokemon song.

DeltaPhoenix responds:

Uhm, This is not Windows Sounds :D Sorry to disappoint you. But I can do a Windows version if you want :)

Congrats

Have to say though, for the first twenty or so seconds I thought it was nothing and then the beat slowly started to come up and shows that this a chaos track. Kind of makes me think of portal as well. However it does maintain a zombie horror feel like they are coming after your flesh to tear you apart too. Really gory feeling track, nice. Also like how it kept going until it was rapidly fast and then sudden slow down.

The dogs and growling sound effects were really nicely done here I think. The vocals kind of sound like it was done in video diary format as if this might be the last person's day alive in a zombie ridden city where there are almost no survivors.

The drums are subtle and light so that is nice to know. The bass line and synth together give a very eerie effect like impending doom was coming and you no one would know your or believe what was on the video as real. Very nicely put together piece though.

Overall, nice zombie piece and it got second place, congrats.

MrMusicalLion responds:

Yeah, I think I was a bit too subtle with the intro for this one. Not sure. It's hard to strike the right balance for Horror.. too obvious and it loses the shock, too subtle and you don't even know when the monster turned up.

I had a great time recording the SFX for this piece, the dogs/growling etc was a recording of me choking, reverb'd and distorted to the max. Interesting point about the Vocals, come to think of it they do sound like a video diary too.

Thanks for the review and the interesting insight; both very much appreciated.
[And thanks, :D the dude that got 1st place, lol, just wow. Incredible stuff truly.]

Well this is a pretty cool piece anyways. Did not expect that orchestra sound though. This is still a pretty brutal sounding fight song though, awesome work on this too.

The guitar sounds brutal and great, nice work on that. The bass is smooth and moves the song along in a great direction. The drums also sounded good, nice work there I think. The violin was completely unexpected though.

Overall, orchestra metal?

Orchestral metal indeed :) Strings might have come in too early haha.

Thanks!

Tough cookie

Well it does seem to have a beat that makes you think someone tough is walking up to you and kind of trying to annoy you but they aren't doing so well because no one likes them anyways and thus they are ignored a lot. Secretly all they want is a friend.

The synth has a nice space feel at some points but for the most part it just sounds incredibly cool and quite nice. The bass line is subtle and provides a good groove for one to enjoy too. The drums are simple and have a quick beat going which is pretty cool.

Really like it around 1:56 where it kind of has a tough guy breakdown and they cry and finally get a friend from being honest. Really great the rest of the way though since it sounds great.

Overall, really tough and cool piece that sounds great.

Hey, thanks for reviewing :D

I honestly didn't get that image when I made this song XD, but hey, it actually works :D

Very promising

Well I like to see this as a promising piece since it seems to have everything for a good song. Would make for an awesome final boss battle tune as well. Kind of makes you think the background is a very dark looking tornado that you are trapped in as you battle on flying rocks trying to beat the boss trying to destroy the world too.

The synth and piano make a nice combination here. They seem to flow well and make the main beat very nice to listen to. They give off a feeling of there is still hope as the battle against the boss wages on as you try to find a weakness and keep it distracted long enough to beat it.

The bass line sounds really nice and pretty calm as well encouraging you to not lose your head and heart as you try to beat the battle. The drums are cool and very nice on the ears too, nice work there.

Overall, very uplifting.
