Mariiioooo!!

Oh yes I did I have some good times playing that game. Would be cool if you did a cover of the beta title track in the future too. It sounded similar but had a bit darker tone to it as well. This is a really nice remake though, sounds awesome.

The stringed instrument sounds great here. The bass line is pretty smooth and helps the tune move along, possibly a trombone? The drums are very nice and help give a good back beat for the tune too. Scratch and DJ sounds were also a nice touch. I think you did well here.

Overall, awesome remix of a good title beat. Now to go find Mario in the mansion. Also nice loop.

Happy

Well I can see how it would make one certainly feel happy anyways. It just has that tone of making you feel better after being sad as you head to the arena with swords in hand preparing for the tournament. You look around the area as you wonder who you may have to face to win and survive to leave the arena. You see ninjas, gunners, and martial artists. Luckily you know how to fight in each of those areas. However the first person to lose by not getting up and staying alive is the loser, the winner continues on to round two...

The drums are cool sounding and move in a rapidly good pace that motivates you to feel nice I think. The synth has a really happy feel to it though, it makes you feel like you can keep going and that no matter what that there will always be hope for you and your friends too. The bass line is nice and helps to beat move along as well. Very wonderful too.

Overall, I found this to be a rather uplifting piece that makes you feel real happy on the inside so that turns out really good too. Really nice and uplifting piece, nice work.

Pumped

Well this is a good racing song I think or possibly a fighting song too. It just gets you feeling pumped and ready to beat the game or possible battle you are in as well. Kind of as a Japanese feel to it as well, very nice there I see. The beat just comes off as amusingly pumped and makes me think of speedcore a bit.

The drums get you real pumped with the constant kicks and hi hat notes a lot too. Also what are the vocals from if I can ask you that? They sound pretty awesome anyways. The song just makes you feel really cool though.

The synth sounds great and has nice high notes I think. Then you got a second one playing liquid styled notes to keep you going. The bass is rather rigid and calming though so that is nice. Liked the windy sounding breakdown before the song slowed down for a moment.

Then the vocals take control for a moment before the song blasts back to full speed and stays real interesting. Really cool though.

Overall, very nice piece of work, sounds awesome.

Thanks for the 9 man! Glad you liked it!

The acapella vocals are from a "World Vocals" pack I downloaded, and the "Blow that Whistle" vocal is from the Hectic Bounce UK Hardcore and Makina pack.

Fun sound

This sounds like a really fun video game beat anyways. Kind of makes you think you are starting on a new level in the game and figuring out how things work while you play through the level trying not to get killed by simple enemies.

The synth sounds pretty cool here anyways. It plays a lot of cool sounding bits. The bass is easy on the ears and gives you a feeling of being able to beat the level without getting frustrated. Very nice little loop as well.

Overall, nice video game beat.

haha thanks! this is my personal favorite of anything I have made up to this point music-wise

Pleasing

Kind of has a weird video game feel to it. I think this would be playing during a night time level in a forest or possibly urban area I think. Would be a great video game song though. It just captures the mystical and magical feel one would get playing a video game for the first time. Also kind of makes me think of Paper Mario.

The synth sounds pretty cool here since it has awkward high notes while the lower notes act as a subtle bass to make the beat sound good. Also is that a light whisper of a pan flute I hear in the back too? The drum bongo sound I hear is pretty cool as well.

The beat kind of just makes me think of video games though.

Overall, really nice beat.

Birdinator99 responds:

You guys better stop comparing to video games I really like -- it's too much! Just kidding.

I'm also glad the auxiliary percussion worked for you, but I'm afraid I did not use a flute of any kind.

Regardless, I always appreciate your reviews. Thank you very much!

Good times

Reminds me of the good times I had playing the game but the aquatic level music always made me feel so weird and strange when I hear it. It kind of had a creepy feel to it I think. Remake of it brings good times though, it was a fun game indeed.

The synth sounds really nice for bringing out all the notes I hear. The guitar you kind of hear makes you think of an 80s opening movie too. The bass line seems solid and nicely done. The flute was a nice touch. Drums are simple and help the beat move along.

Overall, nice piece.

L Blocks

That was always such a fun and simple game yet I never liked the -_ shaped blocks since they tended to screw me over a lot and make the game harder to beat (actually if one gets a score of 999,999 the game will continue). Very nice remix here as well, liking it so far.

The synth sounds very spaced out, trippy, and I like how it has a very big remix solo piece added or at least it sounds that way to me anyways. The bass provides a nice beat anyways. Kind of makes you think someone is playing bass guitar actually.

The shuffle sound is a nice mix and the drums sound great. Liking how the suddenly get louder near the end for a moment too. The whole tune just sounds great, nice remix.

Overall, cool Tetris remix.

coleknows responds:

I think i wanna try playing tetris while listening to this :3

Thx for the review ^^

Nice song

Really eerie as well too for once. Sounds like something from a horror movie I think. The tune would make for an excellent chiller movie piece as an opening or possibly where the demented chase is happening really slowly while the victim looks for a way to fight back in the environment.

The bass and chiller sound give a very creepy feel to this piece as if one was really being chased or something of that nature. I liked the leitmotif used here, kind of made me think of Earthbound actually. The drums are cool and kind of make it sound like a real fun piece as well.

The digital clicking sound thing is cool I guess. The synths give a strange feel as if you might be in the horror movie yourself too. Really creepy but cool.

Overall, creepy but good horror movie song.

Clicking noise? o.0

I'm not sure what clicking noise you mean, I can only imagine the hit on the bells was what you were thinking, but I don't think I had added in a click...

I'm amazed it reminded you of Earthbound, but hey. Different people, right? I'm glad you enjoyed it overall, and I'm actually flattered it reminded you of that game, as Earthbound is awesome.

I mainly meant it to be eerie and have depth, and apparently it worked.

Thank you for the review!

Kimono Girls remixed!!

Yup, I actually found that to be a beautiful sounding piece rather than haunting actually. Funny how from generation II to generation IV the only difference is they have Eevee forms that are at a higher level than the original game had. Oh and by the way, very nice remix you got going on here too.

The dub sounds are deep and very cool sounding as well. The synth sounds charming here. Then the bass makes it cool and gives a groove. The glitch sounds and drums just sound pretty great actually and I love how they roll in this piece as well, cool.

Overall, nice remix.

ElectroHarbour responds:

Mhm.

Also, didn't the kimono girl's play more of a role in generation IV's "story?"

I guess you'd hear this theme more often in Generation IV

Squirtle

Funny how I knew that right when I heard it as well. You took a pretty happy sounding piece and made it sound even happier with some techno sounds added to the mix of the song, cool. Really enjoy this soft yet nice piece.

The drums and claps seem to go well together and make this a cool up sounding piece. The synth makes it worth listening to and rather happy as well. The piano is happy sounding on its own and nice work there. The bass is also very cool. Nice work making a happy remix.

Overall, sweet piece of work remixing that theme.

ElectroHarbour responds:

Thanks, your reviews mean a lot.

I thought that squirtle might be a little TOO recognizable :P
