Pleasing

Well I found this to be a completely pleasing remake of that song from Dark Cloud 2 although I prefer the cute kitty girl from the first one actually. She just seemed real calm and helpful and sounded nice too. Awesome remake though, would not mind seeing it used in a flash game at this point either.

The drums com in rolls and sound quite awesome to me at least so I really enjoyed that. The synth was rather cool and I like how it lingers on for a bit at the start as well. The trumpet sounded nice here I think. The click thing sounded cute as well.

Overall, really nice remake of a song. Kind of makes me think of the really old Final Fantasy games too.

Ixalon responds:

Thank you really much! I really indeed focused on those drums cause the original had great drum effects and sounds too, so wanted them in here too.

Glad you liked it! Still going to make more remakes from Dark Cloud 2!

Nice dub

Well it sounds pretty pleasing on the ears anyways so I will give you that much anyways. Kind of like mind candy as well. The tune plays out a beat that makes you feel weird yet somehow at peace with yourself too as if you could change your bad habits and ways into good habits that will last you a life time and maybe you can save the world too and such.

This piece just makes you feel real calm though for the most part. The synth is really nice and gives a dream like sequence as it plays out too which is cool. Even when it breaks into dub it still remains rather calm to your heart and mind which is quite nice I think since it makes you feel happy.

The bass is subtle and very soothing on the heart to me. Makes me feel happy as well. The drums sound pretty cool and carry a smooth beat that can just calm you down. The dub sounds make it feel like parts of memories were just looping over and over letting you think of the good and bad times you have had in your life.

Overall, really nice piece of work.

Smooth

Well I found this to be a peaceful work of art anyways right up to where it changes over to dubstep as well. Kind of makes you think of yesteryear and thinks being nice and as soon as the dub blasts in it kind of makes you wonder if you enjoy your life or not now. Most hopefully do though.

The guitar and bass work together to create a great piece of art as they give a blast of visuals in your mind though. The drums were also very calming as well I think. The synth seems to blast a dark wave at you kind of making you feel a bit strange though so that works.

The voice is cool but who is that? The dub sounds are rather calming and lead back to the intro of the song with little to no notice that the dub sounds have stopped which is cool.

Overall, interestingly calm piece of work.

man that was deep.
Thanks alot!

Great house beat

I like the start and how it has disembodied voices saying something as well. Kind of gives me an image of someone hearing a television or radio in a deserted house that he awoke in. He searches slowly for a way out and begins to realize that something may not be right as he hears the groans of something outside.

He looks out the window and sees people shuffling on the streets below. He puts on a shirt and pants and begins to look for a new set of clothes and answers to what is going on and why the people are behaving as they are. He was about to be in for the fight of his life and possibly that of humanity against zombies...

The piano was nice to hear on this one as it gives a feel of possibly being able to make it out of the area alive and possibly be able to save people as well. The synth gives a feel of having to be on the move a lot along with a subtle though of sirens too.

The bass is rather nice and gives a good backing beat too I think. The drums are crazy and give a thought of shotgun blasts to the zombies as you look for a way away from them so that you may survive this horror of the city. The stringed instrument in the back gives an uneasy feel like you may be the only one left alive too.

Overall, very nice apocalyptic feeling tune, excellent work.

DreamEater responds:

Before this awesome review I never even incorporated this song with the thought of zombies, but like always... I totally agree with you SCTE3!
The Disembodied voices and whatnot really do give that creepy-apocalyptic feel to this one, and fckin-eh the track is named Buzzsaw (A very handy tool for killing zombies :p)

I love reading your reviews buddy. especially when they include both your mental feedback, and your musical feedback as well!

I was very glad to hear that you enjoyed most aspects of this track so my only wonder is... why not a 10?

:p
Thanks again SCTE3

Wonderful

Kind of gives you the image of a battle having been completed and rubble is everywhere. You stand there very bloody and bruised up by your dark clone who tried to destroy the world yet was stopped by kindness and the power of friendship as well. You watch as they slowly change shades and fade away from existence as they explode as well destroying many things around them too.

You slowly fall down as your female friend barely holds you up. She helps you stand back up as you both walk away slowly from the battle hoping in time that things will look brighter as well. She helps you pull off your cloak at last along with the blindfold feeling as your darkness has left.

You see a city now in ruins due to the battle you both had as well. Saddened by this a tear comes from your eyes as you find a small piece of metal to help be used as a cane while your friend still helps you walk away from the scene too. You both arrive at her place as you have never had a friend and she was the only who stayed and helped calm the battle and eventually won it with you too.

She slowly takes off your old ragged clothes and looks at you as you simply sit in the bathroom with underwear on. You look in the mirror and see how long your blue hair has gotten over the last few years since you left your home to confront your own problems, you are 19 now and wish you could have all those years back as well.

She stares at you as she brings you some clothes and razors. She shaves all the hair off your body and cuts your hair a bit so that it only goes halfway down your rib cage as well. She smiles asking you to take a shower. You get in the shower and she turns the water on.

You stand there relaxing as the water washes filth and sadness away from you and you start to smile a bit letting the water hit your face as well while in the shower. You get out and she has no manly clothes for you so you simply put on her old school girl uniform as that is all she has for you to wear at the time. She asks if you want her to go get you some guy clothes and you refuse.

Strangely you find those clothes more comfy than anything else you have ever worn in your life. She brings you her old chastity belt and has you wear so you don't get any sudden sexual urges, you smile and nod saying ok as she forced it on constraining your dick. You smile and go to her room with her as you put your arms around her and fall asleep in bed with the only friend you have now, someone who actually cares too.

This piece is like a long and epic lullaby piece as far as I think actually. The piece kind of weaves its own beautiful story too telling a tale of sorts with it I think. The tune just has a real soft feel to it as well as if someone you had waited ages for helped you finish an internal struggle with your darkness too.

The violins sound wonderful and peaceful. The flutes are giving a feel as if everything will be alright now even if they don't feel that way at first though. The cymbal hits are nice too I think as they give a mellow feel. The bass gives a more dynamic feel as if you can finally relax at long last with yourself and those who care for you.

Overall, wonderfully calming piece of work, sounds great!!

descara responds:

That was.... incredibly specific. :P

Anyway, thanks! 100% spot on with what I wanted to do with the flute.

Nice cover

Sounds very nice for a cover on ocarina actually. Brings back good times of playing the first Pokemon game I ever got when I was real young. I think the only problems are are the same that remain as before which is sometimes it can be overly loud and some other times you hear static in the background as well. Aside from that it is a great ocarina cover.

Ocarina-Kid responds:

Thanks yet again for your kind words SCTE3, ah I've really gotta work on the volume (and that damn static) cheers for letting me know. Brings back good times indeed, back when things were simple and there weren't 40975734 different Pokemon ;) Thanks for the review!

Spicy

Well this is an excellent 8 bit dubstep remake of a cool song anyways. Would not mind seeing it used in some kind of platform game where you run through a city. Awesome beat.

The synth sounds awesome and the bass line is greatly done as well I think. The drums give a feeling of needing to run somewhere. The retro dub sounds are actually pretty cool. Really like what you did here with this piece too, sounds great.

Overall, cool retro remake.

Bliss

Kind of makes me think of Earthbound actually even though it is a Mario game piece ironically. This piece kind of gets you relaxed and ready for the races ahead in the game too. The tune has a soft feel to it which is good if you were trying to get someone relaxed as they get ready to compete.

The synth and pianos make a nice combination and give a soft yet fuzzy feeling as you decide who it is you wish to race with in the game too. The bass is subtle and very good here as well, like how it gives a softer feel of warmth and kindness as no one in the race wants to kill others, simply win the race and become the tournament champion.

Excellent drums as well, they turned out awesome.

Overall, wonderful cover beat.

Birdinator99 responds:

Heh, they say they don't want to kill others, until they get a blue shell...

I was particularly pleased with the snare drum on this track, so I'm glad you noticed the drums!

This does have a soft kind of feeling to it, now that you mention it. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for the review!
