Urbanized

I have no idea but I kind of see this as a song showing how Tricky came to be. He was a normal assassin but due to being nearly a killed. Some kind of deity revived him and infused him with powers but unfortunately made the mistake of turning him in a schizophrenic as well.

He destroys and molds a nearby building rubble into a mask and picks up a sign smacking down the creature who helped him get back on his feet. Not his fault though, he just can't help but suddenly feel a lust for killing any and all living things now. He noticed a person walking by with red goggles on and makes him his new target now. He shall stalk him until he is no longer living.

The guitar noting here sounds wonderful and also kind of doubles as a feeling of a siren going off warning that the clown is near as well which makes it all the better too. Gives a feeling as if you have a few minutes before the foe arrives to try getting you and whatever maybe helping you fight the battle in the wasteland of Madness series.

The synth and piano giving a feeling that there is still some calmness and a good heart left in Tricky somewhere struggling to free itself from it has become due to that event in ages past. Even while they kill they only wish to find some way of being free of this curse, this power, this blood lust!!

The bass is very calm here and quite relaxing I think. It gives a good feeling while it is very light back there too. The drums play up quite well and give a good solid foundation for the rest of the song. Kind of gives a feeling as if the battle may even be slow too.

Overall, great madness day based song, sounds sick!

Word.... Thanks for the review mode. I dig it. I really wished I could have mastered this beat before posting it. It's all out of whack and whatnot but the concept is still there... Good enough for me :P

Horrors of the night

Get a good visual here really. Can kind of see things of the night creeping toward you as you pick up a gun and begin shooting the zombies. You wonder just how long you can survive as you slowly and painfully make your way to the top the research facility responsible for the zombies only to be met by a person somehow fusing with some of the zombies gaining all their strength. You only have one clip left in your gun. Best of luck in this battle.

This is a real scenery styled piece of music and I really like how it sounds as well. The quirky drums seem to remind me a bit of Tekken as well and the random drum rolls are also nice. The synth at times kind of makes me think of someone floating aimlessly in space wondering what they should be doing next in their life as they search for purpose and reason to live.

The bass is soft and mellow and seems to give a back drop feel as if the zombies were following you all the way up as you keep moving and struggling to survive the horrific nightmare where zombies are no longer a story but a real life nightmare for you.

Overall, very nice competition piece. Really a very nice and dark feeling piece too. Loops perfectly making it all the more better to enjoy.

DreamEater responds:

Haha thanks for the review buddy :D

ooo... zombie music huh?... tight x]
I was really trying to capture a darker more-sinister feel with this track, and
It sounds to me like that's what you're getting from this too. I am also really glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall production of this; I really took a shot in the dark, and tried something completely different with this track.

Overall I'm happy with it though, and I'm so glad you could enjoy it as well!

Thanks again dude! :D

Bum dum bum bum

This seems to hold a very greatly done rhythm to it and I quite enjoy it as well. The tune seems to flow and I like the phone part you added in there as well. It sounded like you were going to try saving someone from killing themselves and you go after them as well. The beat is quite well composed and very quirky yet awesome at the same time.

The synth seems very dynamic as if hearing four of them play at the same time at all times here strangely. I enjoyed the lighter synth in the back though as it gave a hope induced feeling to it which I greatly enjoyed a lot too. The bass here was pretty much giving off a feeling of explosions to me I think. The drums here were great.

Enjoyed around 2:25 where it went down and slowly builds back up with a solid drum beat. The phone call was also great but where did it come from if I can ask? Then after the light build up and her asking something it blows up to full dubstep which sounds quite well done I think and very brutally great!

Overall, I think you managed to make a very solid piece that keeps the listener interested in hearing how the song will end. Greatly done.

First off, thanks for the review :D

And about the vocal sample
I recorded my sister on my blue yeti (usb mic) to somrthing we cooked up in a matter of minutes (which was a big surprise for us because we usually take forever to get ideas for songs with some kind of vocals in them.

Glad you liked the song :D

Chilly cheer

Kind of has a wintery feel to it as if going through Ponyville in the winter time and simply enjoying the area as you complete season themed task for the ponies there and discover more of who are and why friendship is even more magic than you ever though before!! Wow, what a mouthful. I have to say though, this has a mixture of winter and space put into it making it quite interesting to me indeed I think.

However I can also see where you are coming from in which it could possibly be Twilight's theme but also possibly Luna's theme. I wonder what Celestia's theme would sound like anyways.

The synth sounds very calm and for a majority of the song seems to produce both a winter arctic feel and a space feel as well. Almost as if you were watching snow fall to the ground for the very first time and you sit there letting it fall onto your main and possibly wings as you enjoy it and the cold it brings for you to play in.

The bass is calming and provides a great background beat to listen to I think as you go through the song enjoying the winter feel of it all too. The drums sound good and I like the drum roll at the beginning too helping the song pick up the rest and start up as well.

Overall, great theme song for Twilight I think. Tune is very calm and peaceful, I like it, I like it a lot!

coleknows responds:

The drum roll was one of the new things i was trying. It is such a pain to make though.

The other hard things was making the second melody at around 0:55
And the last was trying new synths but yeah, glad ya liked it. I hope i can finish the whole series too.

It does have a sort of winter feel i noticed actually. Maybe this should be colgates theme :P

Urban

Has a good video game feel to it as if you were roaming a city somewhere trying to beat the level. The synth and drums are great here. This is actually a pretty good loop as well I think. I think a better title is "Urban exploration" in the video game genre as well. Very nicely done piece, I like it.

coleknows responds:

Mmm, good title. If i ever make this a full song, i will make sure to name it that.

Swell

Sounds kind of like the start to a party song. Also slightly reminds me of the walkway fashion show song that Fluttershy came out too as well. Very small yet very nice little trance tune anyways. However yea, it sounds like an excellent start to a party song though. Could try expanding and working on this one I think. Very good beat.

coleknows responds:

I noticed it sounds close to walkway music too. Makes me think of rarity for some strange reason.

Space bot

Kind of see this as being a theme in some My Little Pony game where you explore a factory trying to find something to escape and solve the problems in the area at the same time too. The space feel and xylophone give a strange feeling of strong ambiance as well. Nice little piece anyways.

coleknows responds:

That review makes me think of one thing....

SPAAAAAACCEEE!! Anyways, thanks for the review :P

Calm

Not sure why but I can kind of see this being used in My Little Pony as Discord is locked away and the land begins to celebrate that he is gone forever. Hopefully after becoming a statue they put the statue deep underground so no one can get to it easily. The tune also kind of makes me think of winter as well. Cool. Heh, that was a pun, nice.

Quirky

Kind of sounds like a real quirky start up to a boss battle I think which is nice anyways. Looking forward to new pieces in the future anyways. Not bad for a little short loop though.

coleknows responds:

Boss battle? Eh, im not really sure what this would be good for actually XD

Smooth

Well it sounds like some kind of winter level like tune I think. The synth has an arctic chill to it that makes you have to move to keep warm as you go forth looking for the entrance to the base of Eggman too. The drums and bass keep the tune up and make this a nice winter feeling piece. Not too bad at all.

coleknows responds:

eggman, lul.

I personally like this one the most. It has a nice chill feeling to it.
