Average

To be honest with the other dubsteps I have heard this one just sounds pretty mediocre to my ears anyways. No true popping out or sudden changes really .It kind of just started and then automatically switched over to it. On a less related note I think I heard a cat's meow in there too. Weird.

The dub sounds are alright and not too dramatic anyways. The synth sounds nice and seems to have an after echo and some chorus that comes to it too. The bass is wet and nice here I think as well. The drums are still pretty cool and have an amazing rhythm here.

Overall, just not exciting enough I think.

Alright thank you, I will try and make my next song more dynamic.

Funky

Has a pretty funky sounding castle beat going on anyways. Makes me think of castles and kittens ruling over them for some reason with people petting them and making echoed funky sounds a lot. Really smooth piece though.

The synth sounds pretty cool and it also has a subtle phaser effect added in there as well I see. The breakdown sounded great too.

The bass line is pretty sweet and holds a nice beat that backs up for the guitar too. Loved when the guitar did those little short solos it makes it sound even cooler to listen to actually. Really nice beat though.

The drums are simple and help maintain a beat for this song which is cool to me.

Overall, funky castle song I think.

Seems ok

Not exactly something great sounding though to me. I think what it is really lacking is a drum kick and bass line to back up the guitar play here. It kind of sounds like a little jam session or something I could easily do on guitar as well actually. It still sounds ok though, could use some more sound though and be a bit longer.

The guitar does not sound too bad but I think you could have two of them. Once to do lead higher/solo notes while the other does rhythm and plays chords for a majority of the piece.

The drum sounds alright anyways. Kind of lacking in drum kicks though.

Overall, lacking a bass line and drum kicks, just try to make it a bit longer too. Not bad for a try anyways.

Atlas responds:

Thanks for the review. I thought two guitars sounded bad. And I'm always adding bass to a song and then taking it out because it sounds bad.

Calming

Really find this to be an admirable piece I think anyways. It works out quite well too. It just seems to kind of have a love feel but also a dungeon feel as well as if one was trying to save someone else here too. Really nice yet short piece anyways, I like it.

The piano is just real simple sounding on the ears and I like how the lower keys double as bass notes since they have a after echo that is played after the notes are done playing. Really soft piano piece though.

Overall, soft love tune.

Rave it up

Sounds like a really cool drum n bass techno song anyways as it plays. Also kind of makes me think of it as being a boss battle piece that you would fight a boss to. The song has a good rhythm to it. Could also make for a really cool platform game song too actually, you run against the clock across the huge buildings and factory looking for the exit.

The synth sounds really nice here I think. At moments it has an ambient feel to it and at other times it seems to be sweeping the area and picking up speed as it plays along and makes for an almost completely awesome song.

The bass sounds good and wet here as it provides an awesome bass rhythm to boost the rest of the song as being awesome. The drums are cool and I like those drum fills I hear too, makes the piece sound pumped up a lot!

Overall, this is an incredible piece of work, nice job.

Excellent remake

Is this an original piece or is from Sonic the Hedgehog 3? This is an awesome sounding piece to me though. It seems to have everything that makes it great. I wonder how it would sound with some growls put in there at different times. Love piece though.

The guitar sounds great. Liking how you used two of them here as well. Gives a feeling that two people are playing instead of one though. The bass sounds refined and even better than before here as the beat goes forth. The main riff on guitar is greatly done I think.

The drums were great. Also I seem to love the guitar solo you did midway through here. Adds a dramatic effect to the song like the final battle is going and you have to fight to win one last time. That is a nice long solo too. Would not mind learning how to play that though, sounds a lot like trills followed by really fast hammer ons and slight pull offs.

The heavy effect that comes into play gives the feeling the battle is in effect. You destroy the sword with a punch and the fight wages on with you both using fist and the ability to levitate. However the area is an enclosed ship.

Overall, awesome piece of work, loved it.

Thanks dude! Its an original piece, I'm glad you dig it dude! Always love your reviews! \m/

Dreamy

It starts with a dream like feel to it. You awaken in a test chamber and quickly discover you must pass some tests to make it out of the lab alive. You pick up a strange looking gun. You aim at the wall and fire, a portal appears, you try to fire another one but notice the same color. Soon an exit appears, testing begins now...

The synth has a high sounding yet kazoo like feeling to it as well. It gives a feel that it could be a long day before you can finally leave and escape. The lower pitched areas of the synth playing sound kind of like 8-bit sounds actually, nice. The chorus gives a feel as if this is your final hope against GLaDOS as you search for the answers and the way out. The drums are awesome.

Overall, this is a great piece of work.

I like the visualization a lot! I'm wondering how you get these. Probably a healthy dose of imagination...

Sounds soft

Well I liked the start anyways. It was just soft orchestra instruments playing and making you feel as if a battle was over, we wait for the smoke to clear to see who is left. The music goes the full way and as the smoke clears both of them cloaked ninja swordsmen are left standing with gashing wounds everywhere. they rush at each other awaiting to see who will fall first.

The synth has a really strange and spaced out feeling with it. Kind of gives a feeling as if the battle was dark yet dramatic as well causing the two to keep going at each other for a long time too. The drums give a great feel as if they were going really fast at each other too. The bass offers a piece of mind here as well.

Overall, sounds like a cool battle beat anyways.

Sleep now, hush now

Yea, I can see her singing this piece anyways. Kind of has a eurobeat to it which seems to be pretty sweet anyways. The beat kind of has a fresh feel to it as if Fluttershy might be adding a twist to it or something anyways. Really nice remix of the lullaby though, only thing missing now is vocals, lol.

The piano sounds great and it seems to sound just fine as it acts as a subtle vocal piece along with the synth as well, nicely worked. The bass is soothing and very calm, kind of makes you think of a soft voice. The drums are pumped up though so it works for me anyways.

Overall, excellent remake.

coleknows responds:

Thank you! ^^

I am glad you didn't notice it was hella repitative. You would not geuss how hard it is to remix a like 7 second song.

Soothing metal

I liked how the piano at the start kind of relaxes and gets you into the feel of being in a dream and very relaxed. You just feel as if even though bad things tend to happen that everything will be alright soon after all. The guitar sounds pretty soft here as it plays some heavy chords that kind of make you think something chaotic was happening in your dream that you were having to fight against for some reason.

The bass is great and gives the guitar and drums a backing beat as the beat moves on. Towards the end I could see some kind of fight being stopped by some giant being or something of that nature. The drums play a very simple rhythm that just gives the feel of everything is going to be alright.

Overall, this is a soothing metal piece.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

There actually isn't any bass in this song at all, my guitar tone simply has some bass heavy undertones. I was debating putting bass in it, but I didn't want to over-complicate the song and make it feel too active... Being a more laid back tune and all.
Same with the drums, I was thinking of spicing it up to give a little more of a metal feel... but again, didn't want to over-complicate or make it too active.

Glad you like it though, thanks for the review.
