Good recording

However I do have a couple of issues, one being the guitar sounds a bit too quiet as you play. The remedies for this could be either play louder or record closer to the microphone.

The other issue I notice with this is the bass seems to sound a bit louder than it should. At most it should be lower in volume to where it back up the guitar for the song.

Overall, just some minor recording issues is all.

You're right! I think I did rushed on the recording I should had spent some more time working on it now that I listen to it.

Thanks for listening to it man :)

This track sounds spectacular. Really like how it starts sounding dark and then the full song comes together and it is lighthearted and merry sounding.

The bass was truly fun to listen to as the song marched on. The drums accompanying the bass was great and I like the speedy feel to it as if listening to an actual live orchestra.

The triangle is a nice little detail given to this piece to make the transition smoother. The violins I hear are truly beautiful too. The chorus was great and makes me think of a band of people walking towards a castle in triumph.

Overall, beautiful collaboration.

Thanks for the great review, SCTE3. I am thrilled you think it came out so well. :D

The song has a really nice feel good feeling to it. The tune seems like it would fit well for closing a party when people are beginning to leave and you need a peace to help calm people down a bit as they walk out the door.

The synth sounds very clean and I notice nothing going wrong with the rhythm. Then secondary synth seems to sound like it was bouncing from left to right trying to make one feel like they are in some sort of atmosphere.

The drums are good and the basic pattern gives a good backing rhythm for the track. Probably could have used a different hi hat though.

Overall, sounds very nice.

Thanks

When the song started up I noticed right away a slight transitional problem. It went from low sound to immediately higher volume. It should have either built up or been at full volume from the start. As the rest of the song played on I enjoyed the melody. May have just been me however.

The piano was very touching and calm. The sound was very clean and the slight reverb heard afterward was nice to listen to.

The jingling bells heard give the song a very festive feel as one could imagine the rabbit hopping around. Also not sure if that is meant to be rain I'm hearing or paper crumbling since it seems to fit for either with the second background sound being heard as the song plays.

The light use of violin was enjoyable. However towards the end the jingling bells, violin, and piano all being heard together for a moment didn't seem to sound good. Possibly move the jingle bells forward a step.

Overall, minimal issues, sounds great!

Hello SCTE3!

Thanks a lot you took the time to review my piece :> You are right - the volume at the start is quite low sound. I did this by intent because i wanted the repetitions within the introduction not to sound monotonic. So i decided to raise the volume step by step until the maintheme shows. But maybe it is really to low. When i made the track i have used very good headphones. Could have been the reason why i did not notice that the volume could be to low. Thanks for that hint!

The fx within the midpart should be a delicate fire-sound. I wanted to do something that sounds a little bit strange, but somehow cozy. The scene i had in my mind: The rabbits are looking into the window from outside and interrupt their play for a short time. The christmas-athmosphere within the house seems very curious but interesting to them. After a while they go on playing.

I just was afraid the cut between the first part and the midpart could be a little bit to hard. Because i always try to make my pieces within one session (5-6 hours) i always need some time to see if i am comfortable with them or not. So i think i will still need some time :D

I will check out the bell - string - piano - combination towards the end - maybe i will do some facelift.

Thanks a lot for leaving your helpful thoughts here. I am really glad you liked it and wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year!!

Best wishes!
Chris

The guitar track sounded slightly familiar as if I had heard being used in a different song. Although it may have been a piano instead.

The vocals are clear, the one bad part is when the vocalist backs away from the microphone since it becomes harder to hear them for a moment.

The guitar is crisp. The bass line provides a nice groove for the song. Lastly, the drums are easy going and nice to listen to.

Overall, good work.

Thanks SCTE3 your reviews are always very much appreciated.

Cheers gamejunkie.

Really liked the "Houston" voice at the start. Then the rest of the song makes one think of heading out into space and being successful.

The drums are soft and the rim hits seem to sound right. Going from one ear to the other is a nice effect. Then the heavy kicking sounds very crisp.

The synth draws out and sounds wonderful. Then there is a secondary synth backing the main synth to make the song much better.

Overall, great hip hop track, no idea what kind of lyrics would go with it though.

DJM00se responds:

yeah no idea how someone would rap to this. but it's a good standalone beat i think. thanks for the review man!

This would go well in the game.

Really like how the synth has a bit of a steamy backbone to it. Almost as if it was being recorded on a steamboat with the sounds of the steamboat in the background.

The drums are simple and seem to have a sound that makes one jump in time to the rhythm.

The piano hits on the lower notes which works well for covering the bass line. The wind instrument gives a happy sound to the song and works well for this beat. Really enjoyed the secondary synth providing much higher notes and wonderful sound.

Overall, great remix. Where did the "ughhh" sound happen to come from?

i got it online, you can just look up SSBB sounds or something like that! It's everywhere! Anyway, thanks for the great review man!

The first few notes make me think it has turned into a battle and this is the theme playing.

The main synths and pianos make me think of an rpg being played on the SNES. That quirky yet fun to listen to sound. The bass has a funky sound to it that makes me think of the song as a bit of a boss battle possibly. Lastly, the drums with the claps and snares and overall rhythm make me think of Final Fantasy X battles.

Overall, very enjoyable beat.

LyingPink responds:

I was definitely going for a SNES sound. I wasn't entirely faithful to the SNES's memory/sampling limitations or anything, but I was aiming for that kind of feel. Glad it came across!
Interesting... I never really got into Final Fantasy X; sounds like I'll have to give the soundtrack a bit of a listen.
Thanks for the review!

This was a great cover. I get a feeling it will be awhile before I hear a cover that tops the original version. This cover sounds amazingly good though.

The bass rhythm is smooth. The guitars provide the excellent front sound needed for a rhythm. The organ makes me think a lot of the original version. Then lastly the drums are fun to listen to.

The vocals make me think of a chorus of people just being in a recording studio and having a good time recording their vocals for this cover.

Overall, great cover!!

Thank you. I wasn't expecting such a nice review.

The song has a calm sound to it. The tune sounds like it would fit in for the start of an adventure or at the end of a show about someone going on an adventure.

The synths have a crisp sound. What synths were used? Then the bass comes up constantly which sounds good since there is a high bass note then a lower bass note repeating. The drums are smooth and remind me of SNES games. The old sound synth makes me think of a piano.

Overall, decent starting song. Sounds great.
