And forth they went

This does sound like something you would hear while exploring a mountain cave and trying to find the person who is rumored to live there. You find them yet they ask you to leave and explain they live there for they were strong and quick in defeating their rivals when they were assassin and have retired yet feel that cave is the only place they will ever get peace from kings and queens asking for him to help. Really smooth and classical tune.

I like the slight whistle like sound I hear that is mostly a flute sounding instrument. The vocals are nice and give a feel of having found something most wonderful and calming. The wind pipe sounds are also nice and kind of make me think of Final Fantasy. The guitar here sounds really classical and nice on the ears too.

Overall, wonderful adventure feeling song.

Excellent imagery... I almost like yours better than mine. XD

I really had more fun doing the instrumentation than writing the melody, which is actually an older one I created about half-a-year ago (I've been trying to finish a lot of old pieces lately). I'm honestly really glad it worked out well, at least in your ears. :)

Thanks for the great review,

What a story

This is an incredibly long piece but at the same time it feels like it paints a landscape along with a story showing what all is going on in that place too. The tune seems to be really good and mastered well. Really nice trance song and I like it too.

The drums here seem to hold a simple rhythm and make you feel as if you were doing many little things building up onto a bigger picture and trying to keep it all going. The rhythm of triplets coming forth with the hats was nice and the bass kicks are very calm and help build up for the song at the same time.

The bass line seems to be a really simple rhythm of several long notes and then the short notes to help transition on and keep going forth with the song. Really good.

I loved the synth getting incredibly happy sounding as it made you kind of feel like floating on endless clouds just feeling happy to be there and that people care about what happens to you. The rhythm of the synth seems to be really happy and quite bouncy as well too making it really great to listen to.

Also not too sure but I kind of feel like I am also hearing very light vocals but that might just be the secondary and lighter sounding synth doing that. The song does sound incredibly cheery which makes it all the better to hear. The slight use of backward sounds actually makes it feel kind of weird.

Tempo and mastering here seem to be well done and sounds like you spent a good amount of time on this too.

Overall, excellent sounding trance piece, really dreamy feeling.

Thanks for the incredible feedback. :D

Makes me wanna go and review things myself.

Happy holidays bro.

Wandering around

This sounds like a song I would hear while watching a montage of someone going on an adventure trying to figure out where to go next in life as they sometimes fin things stopping them and they get right back on the path to find the swords and slay a monster harming a kingdom after having been awoken from its very long slumber. Very nice song and I love the bass line here.

The guitar sounds real clean and is that a slight banjo effect I am also hearing there too? Really nice there. The bass line here is really nice and simple and goes in an up and down fashion. Like how it stays simple though. The guitar when it begins to hit chords sounds really calm as if the person playing was also calm as they kept on going.

The drums were great and I liked the kicks and hats that were there making the song feel great. Gave that feel of you having to keep on going. Smooth rhythm. The chorus was nice, the vocals give a feel of them doing something incredible or awe inspiring at those moments.

Overall, nice song, good adventure type song.

Haha, nice little story you made up there!

I have no idea what you mean with 'banjo effect' though. I think that's the clavinet (not a clean guitar) you're talking about? :P Thought I'd give the bass some more attention this time, so I'm glad you liked that :)

Good to hear you liked the piece, much appreciated ;) Thank you once again!

Seems pretty neat

Well this seems to be a rather calm fusion of classical and then later drum and bass too. I also hear voices a little bit from time to time. What are they saying when they come in? Aside from that, sounds pretty neat really.

The violin adds a bit of class as the drums play really fast here. The bass is feeling rather liquid like and keeping a calm and slowly smooth up and down rhythm to it at the same time. As for drums they sound nice but I would try to find a better hat and kick samples, make it sound a little more hard hitting I think. The hat is still pretty nice though, wonderful.

Overall, pretty interesting fusion of classical and drum and bass. Neat song.

Such calming

I like how it starts with her vocals and keeps having them in a light dreamy manner making you feel like she is falling asleep with you and trying to make sure you are alright while you do the same for her making sure she is alright as well. Very calm trance beat and very lovely.

The synth has a nice feel to it as it kind of bounces around a bit while in the background you hear more ambient synths playing to give the main one more of a good feeling to it here. The bass is nice and I like how it makes the bass feel even louder. The drums are great and I like them as well.

Overall, wonderful song, love the use of an echo effect on Fluttershy's vocals. What program did you use to make this piece?

Glad you liked it man! I'm thinking of doing more trance remixes of pony stuff, as well as the usual classic assortment.

Thanks for listening!

Neat little project

This song sounds pretty neat and the bass drops are completely nice to hear. Never played the Star Fox games yet they always looked like a good amount of fun to me. This tune makes you feel like you are flying on a ship and going out to destroy something threatening a universe or just a planet even. Very nice song.

The FL Slayer guitar has a pretty calm feel here although I probably would have adjusted it to sound a bit crunchier. The bass line here is smooth and I like how it seems to have a heart beat rhythm to it too. The piano gives a calm feeling of hope as if you were able to do so many things and beat the boss at the end too.

The drums sound great and I like how I can hear a bit of double bass at times but the deep bass kicks are great and the drums are great here. Very well done piece.

Overall, great remix of Corneria, great song.

Nicely done

Well the sound effects in the background are pretty cool and make this rather well done. I like how you sound that people where terrible attire and then the music at the end is rather nice and gives the listener the image that the two people are beginning to dance.

Your voice is rather nice too. What kind of microphone are you using here? Above all, it does make you feel like buying Newgrounds merchandise from the NG store. Very well done here, hilarious at the same time too.

Overall, nicely done store ad with your voice.

Actually, and quite ashamedly, I just used the built in microphone on my MacBook, as I don't really own a true voice acting microphone.

However, I hope to acquire some money on my birthday a purchase the one I have in mind. Woo.

Thanks for the review, and I'm very glad you enjoy my voice. :D

So serene

I like how this is a piano only piece. The melody gives a feeling of piece as if you were being hugged by one who cared deeply about you too. The tune has such a soft sounding way of being played. How long did you spend composing this piece anyways? Just seems like a piece that makes you want to hug someone for awhile and just be happy that they are there with you.

I enjoy that it almost feels like it was going to pick up speed every now and then but then just calms back down and feels soft once more too. This is a beautifully composed song. Excellent work here.

Overall, peaceful and happy feeling.

Stargenx responds:

Thanks for the review! I didn't spend any time composing. I sat down and tried to record my exact feelings extemporaneously. I never play the same song twice when I play like that, it captures a lot of my live playing. Hit the record button, did it in one take. If I had played it again, it would be different.

Upbeat

Well as it is not finished I have yet to hear it all but as it is it sounds really good and fun to hear. The tune kind of makes you think of playing as a guy suffering from amnesia looking to regain his memories of who they are and where they were before this all began. Great work in progress, so far, enjoyable.

The synth has a nice little riff feeling to it as it goes up at a fast pace. The bass is very funky and goes up and down. The drums are also really enjoyable and I like the fast pace that it seems to have too. Also loops very nicely as it fades out and then starts all over again.

Overall, nice little work, looking forward to the full piece.

Or4nges responds:

Thanks man! Since it wasn't done I just sorta looped what I had :P

I'll try and finish it as soon as the holidays are over.

Happiness

This sounds like an incredibly happy tune. Like the way it just seems to feel like it could fit a large variety of video game levels as well. The tune is just really nice and quite enjoyable. Could also work as a very soft boss track I think. Aside from that, great work on this track.

The drums sound simple and really nice. Bass line here is rather bouncy and just seems to make you feel good all around. Synth has a great beat pattern that is really enjoyable to me anyways. Liked the later part of the song where the synth kind of made me think of a cat meowing actually, creative. Like the slightly quirky feel of the tune too. Nicely done.

Overall, very happy feeling, very enjoyable.
