Very sick beat this song had. Who was the little kid at the start, a sibling? The song has a nice rhythm to it though and the bass ling soothes you into hearing the lyrics of the song too. Great sounding song too, looking forward to future songs from you after hearing this one, neat!!

Thew bass line remains simple and moves to a different note depending on the beat of the rhythm which goes great when enjoying the song in all its entirety. The synth was great and layered too. The main layer plays like a wave enchanting you to keep on hearing while the one in the back seems to sooth you even further while hearing this.

The drum beat was pretty nice yet simple at the same time too. The vocals sound great, what kind of microphone setup are you using? Excellent beat!

Overall, very nice beat to listen to, good work here!!

Simple rhythm this song has. The tune sounds like something you would write lyrics to a light love song for. The tempo and all seems to be pretty calming and very nice on the mind as one listens to the song.

The drums remind me a bit of the older days of Smosh when they did a video every once in awhile instead of every week. The hi hats are also very calming too. The piano is nice to listen to and I like how it flows in this little song. Seems to loop fairly well too.

Overall, soft melody, wonderful.

Thanks for your constructive criticism.

I tried to make it nice and chill, and it seems to have worked. Maybe my downfall is that it's too calming, and not enough unique individuality in the mix. So I'll work on that next time

Thanks for the review

Simplicity eh?

I think if you were to remaster this the first thing I would recommend is mastering the volume on this one since some of the sounds come on as being way too loud even on headphones which isn't a good thing. Nice to see you aimed for a simple song but what program were you using when you made this?

The drums are pretty much pounding into the ears as if wanting the listener to stay but blasting away at them at the same time too. The synth has a bouncy beat but I don't think there is much in need of being changed there since it sounds alright to me I think. Then the ringing sound I hear coming on from time to time then fading away as an echo feels nice to hear.

The bass is also pounding here and possibly the one thing needing readjusting since it feels a bit louder than everything else in this beat.

Overall, pretty nice and long tune but I would readjust the volume a bit. Aside from that, not bad.

Thanx and the program I used for this one was magic ...not my favorite program but it does let me save my stuff, that is until I can save up for ableton intro

Excellent metal track

Actually sounds really nice and I like how it sounds too. The vocals and the filter on them reminds me of King Crimson a bit too. Really nice short song and it is just completely great sounding. How long did this one take to write and create?

The guitar sounds great and I love the heavy crunchy sound it has to it. The bass is nice and I love the smooth rhythm to it. The drums are also nice and have a solid easy beat to them. Great vocals and lyrics too, excellent metal track!

Overall, great song!! \m/

Thanks man. Glad you dug it. haha...it took me 1 hour. From scratch. lol. Inspiration is a good thing. haha. Especially when I'm not being finicky about the clipping instruments. I recorded them all clipping, but adjusted the volumes on the mixdown.

Thanks man, glad you dig it!!!

Wonderful song

This song tells the tale of a mockery to most platformers but at the same time the song makes you feel so happy for helping save everyone in that game. The tune here is great and I love how upbeat and happy it makes someone feel when they hear it after beating a game. Love how the lyrics suggest you should try playing again. Wonderful song!!

The guitar sounds great and I love how simple it feels. The bass rhythm is simple and sounds like it would be fun to play on bass. The drums are simple as well and have a well balanced rhythm. The vocals and lyrics are the best part too, excellently fun sounding piece. The aquatic feeling synth at the start gives that moment of happiness.

Overall, great song, beat that boss, burnt that rope and saved them all. Wonderful tune.

You have a talent of words my friend. Thanks for the kind comment!

Dub wub wub yea!!

Tune sounds pretty bouncy and really cheery at the same time. Sounds like it could be the start up to some kind of epic boss battle too as it progresses and keeps on playing. Really nice sounding beat, great work on this.

The piano sounds calm and pretty wonderful here. The synth has a nice light rhythm here as it comes in and out of the song at different times to keep things interesting. Drums seem to have a most wonderful rhythm and it sounds like you had layered snare hits which was pretty neat. The dub sounds were great and it sounds like when it goes to full blown dubstep that it would make an excellent boss battle piece.

Overall, this is a pretty great song, nice dub sounds.

So wonderful and refreshing

This kind of makes me think of watching a film where you watch the person cry for a moment as their last problem falls away and they look to the sky wondering if they can start it all over again and just be happy for once in their life hoping everything will be alright. Very beautiful composition.

The piano carried a nice melody and I liked how they almost sounded like there was a slight echo effect there for a moment giving that charismatic feel of knowing everything will be alright as you walk on and begin to leave the city and just enjoy the afternoon in the fields as some rain begins to fall.

The drums here sounded like there was a lot of enthusiasm and energy put into them too like the person playing was overjoyed to see it was all over. The drum beat was great. What drum sounds did you use here? The bass also carries a nice rhythm and sounds quite calming. The guitar is great and sounds like it was being played live.

Overall, this was a great tune. Has a very happy uplifting feel to it.

Hey man, thanks for the feedback. I haven't received any reviews in a while so I appreciate it!

You know that's an excellent observation because now that I think of it, that is exactly what this sounds like, haha.

"The piano carried a nice melody and I liked how they almost sounded like there was a slight echo effect there for a moment giving that charismatic feel of knowing everything will be alright as you walk on and begin to leave the city and just enjoy the afternoon in the fields as some rain begins to fall."

Yeah I'm quite fond of the piano here. It's actually the first thing which sparked the inspiration for this song, because in fact I got the melody by doodling on the piano.

"The drums here sounded like there was a lot of enthusiasm and energy put into them too like the person playing was overjoyed to see it was all over. The drum beat was great. What drum sounds did you use here?"

The drum sounds are random drum samples. They sound good because I spent ages fiddling with their sound frequencies and reverb :P.

"The bass also carries a nice rhythm and sounds quite calming."

Glad you like it! That sound is actually a free soundfont. It doesn't sound very good so again I had to mix it right to make it sound decent along with the rest of the instruments.

"The guitar is great and sounds like it was being played live."

Well the VST I used has guitar samples which are recorded from real guitars so yeah.

"Overall, this was a great tune. Has a very happy uplifting feel to it."

Thanks for the feedback!

So calm and serene

This piece feels rather calm and almost as if you were exploring a dark past of yours and seeing how you went from having a best friend to feeling like everything is working against you. You wield your customized swords looking toward the night sky as you feel a rain drop on your cheek and wonder where things took such a dramatic turn for you. You look forward and hope that maybe you'll have a friend again who cares but until then you aim to keep the city safe. Wonderful tune. I like it.

The guitar sounds really clean and I like how it gives me a feel as if I might be playing Silent Hill and just looking for a way to survive in that world where nightmares suddenly become a very real reality for you. The violin makes you feel calmed and as if for a moment maybe you can relax before going back to helping the city.

The beeping up and down synth has a nice touch as it gives that feel of you just roaming at night and feeling happy even though you are alone. The piano is beautiful and I love how it sounds. The drums are calming and I notice a smooth rhythm as it keeps the song going and feeling happy at the same time.

Overall, this is a beautiful ambient piece. I like it!!

Off on an adventure once more!

Reminds me of how much fun I used to have playing Ocarina of Time too. Great game and good times. This tune is nice and the little light kicks don't sound too awful bad anyways. Kind of makes me think of someone actually walking or possibly going somewhere on a horse. This is a nice cover.

The synth was nice and gave that great feel of going on an adventure which was rather nice to hear. The piano was nice although it kind of felt like it should have been in some places when it was out but the song sounded great. The drums were nice and the rapid hi hats were nice to hear in the back, kind of made you think there was something playing in the grass.

The synth had a lot of great moments as it helped the song keep on going. The violin made you feel rather good and hopeful as you kept going on your quest to rescue Zelda once more from Ganondorf.

Overall, very well done cover, sounds so dreamy and peaceful to listen to. Excellent work on this cover.

KrisKrosNL responds:

I'm grateful for your review. I might consider changing the piano's rythem, maybe. I've been getting much critisism on the middle so I' change that quite a bit.

P.S: it's a DEMO, if you didn't read my "author's comments". I just can't accept that it's actually a "very well" piece of work. At least I got more critisism.

A boss maybe?

Sounds a lot like the start up for a boss battle actually where you were warped to a separate dimension to do battle with it against your party. Still pretty interesting though since it seems to have that dark and yet ever so quick feel to it like if you were to blink the battle could be over for you. Very nicely done and quick paced drum and bass song.

The drums sound nice and I liked the slight echo effect they seemed to have from time to time. The violins give that classical bit of hope to the song as the battle wages on. The bass here was really wet feeling and almost felt a tiny bit like dubstep too interestingly. Liked around 2:16 where the drums sounded a tiny bit like one of the instruments was underwater.

Then it picks back up into a darker yet more calm part. Kind of reminds me of Armored Core which was also a pretty fun game. Nicely done beat.

Overall, nicely done drum and bass piece, sounds great!

Thank you! :D
Most of my tracks are very videogame-sounding, especially my more action-packed ones. I think any track could be used in a videogame as long as the whole is enough interesting.
Thank you for your interpretation and review ^^
