This song sounds rather wonderful to hear. Has a slight dance feel to it thanks to reverb and once the full beat kicks in it just sounds even better. Very enjoyable beat!!

The bass is simple and helps to make the song sound good in all. The synth has an echo effect to each note which makes me think the notes are spread out a little bit so the echo won't effect the next note.

The drums sound incredible and I really enjoy the beat they produce! The constant mixture of kicks and snares trading off and mixing is such a nice sound. The hi hats are also good.

The rumbling back beat I hear when just the piano and magical sound happen gives a lot of atmosphere as if getting ready for a boss battle.

Overall, incredibly well done piece!!

Thanks for the review. I worked quite a few times over this, actually. =P

Excellent collab between your vocals and Omnivore/FurryNG! Don't think there is anyway to improve this either!

Poniiboi responds:

There's no way to improve SCTE3 as well.

Really enjoy the creative sound of this track. Sounds like something from a Tim Burton movie too, awesome!

The bass rhythm and drums kind of make me think of Pirates of the Caribbean with the simple rhythm. Then the guitar makes this all the more cooler later in and kind of feels like a mix between a boss battle and a rave. The constant sound of that little trinket and the ufo sound are also pretty nice.

Overall, steampunk and awesome.

thanks so much for your review

Well this is another good song. Only problem I had was the first few seconds of the song could have been cut off since there was a drum hit and then a few moments of silence before the guitar started up.

Really have to say, I loved how the guitar sounded with the phaser effect applied making it go back and forth on the sound. Who was doing the vocals by the way? They sound excellent while singing although at times it sounds like they are backing away from the microphone for a moment, I guess to catch their breath right?

The bass sounds really smooth and I like how the groove just seems to keep you there listening the whole time as well. The drums are also awesome sounding and enjoyed the drumming I heard here and the freestyle sounding moments were also great.

Overall, another awesome cover as usual!

Thanks SCTE3. If you turn your speakers up you will find there is no cut off at the start, it's just whispered lyrics as true to the original version of this song. Lead guitarist (my good friend Jim, yes the irony) is doing vocals on this track and the occasional quietness can indeed be attributed to distance from mic. The boys will enjoy this review. I can't say who, but you'd be surprised who your listening to. A great review as always.

Cheers gamejunkie.

Sounds rather charming and like it would be good credits for a tribute movie as well since it sounds similar to the original minus the overly pumped up combination of the synths and bass working together.

The synth here is really nice and kind of makes me think that it is partly mixed with a guitar to produce that rhythm that keeps on going. Then the bass helps the song keep going in the back and I like how it sounds more like an atmospheric bass sound. Also kind of funny how if one pays attention to the original and this cover it is really just a long beautiful melody of all the songs in the movie put into one tune.

The drums also sound really nice here and greatly done for simplicity. Liked how you added a filter to them for a cool effect. Great beat.

Overall, awesome cover.

Piano I am hearing kind of reminds me of Super Mario World's Vanilla Dome actually, not too bad for a note pattern that sounds like it is going up forever actually.

The drums here have a dark tone to them and make me think of Luigi's Mansion just a little bit and the change between having them filtered and unfiltered sounds really nice. As if showing what's happening on the outside of things then showing it all on the inside.

The bass is rather mellow and I hear very long elongated notes that give a darker atmosphere to the song. Then the strange synth sounds heard help deliver the space sound as if the frog was just out there looking for something. Lastly, beautiful piano ending. Well played.

Overall, fantastic piece, really enjoyable.

Hey there!

Thanks for your nice review - i am glad you like my piece! (Think i have to play the vanilla dome level again to remember :> ).

"The bass is rather mellow and I hear very long elongated notes that give a darker atmosphere to the song." --> Thats exactly the mood i wanted to create - nice you feel this way! The athmosphere should be sinister, unreal and dark. I like this kind of feelings :>

My plan was to combine the track with a vintage comic, but i think this will take a little time.

As a result of the good criticism of SkyeWintrest i will work the piece a little bit over to raise its quality (hope i will succeed - in any case its worth to give it a try). If you have got some suggestions to make the piece better please tell me, if there are passages within the track you would change - i will be thankful for any constructive criticism :D

So thx again for that nice review!

Chris

Fast paced and has a great sound to it. Would make either good final level music or good music for a boss battle when things are getting intense and right down to the last moment.

The main synth has a nice rising feel to it. Really soothing to hear and then it carries out a good rhythm too. The bass seems to be soft and goes on rather well and just keeps on pushing itself forward and very mellowed out at the same time. I suppose it could be turned down slightly though, maybe at the most 5% toned down in volume.

The drums are very nice and seem to be what gives the song a fast feeling sound since the snare and drum kicks tend to trade off at a very quick rate that kind of makes you think of a lot of things that could be going on.

Overall, terrific song, great beat!

This song has rather interesting composition to it. Kind of makes me think of someone in an abandoned city and yet they have no idea what to expect for the day as the sun rises in the distance. The rhythm has a slight chaotic feel to it.

The main synth I hear coming on and then fading away with that loud sound seems to be very dark feeling. Then I hear some slight vocals, I take it the person is possibly out of breath? Then on comes the bass which sounds very nice and I like the idea of it staying calm and just blasting on one note at a time and slowly fading away.

The slight echo sound I hear in the back later in the song, makes me think of a siren a bit. The drums are rather great sounding and I like how the ride has a distorted echo going with it. The space sound I hear with a slight distortion is interesting to hear.

Overall, very interesting song, good beat.

I agree again, you guys have the genes to review people's songs, don't you?

I'm very glad you liked it, mate.

Really have to say that I enjoyed this song and the happy tone it has.

The classical feel and it also gives a feel of something wonderful that is getting ready to happen or has just happened.

The drum beat is very soft and light in the background, almost like someone lightly walking along as they refrain from losing their balance. The harp was very beautiful and nothing short of being the life of the song. The deep bass rhythm and trumpets sounds great too.

Overall, the song has an atmosphere of hope and I like that a lot.

First happy piece I have written in AGES, honestly. I am glad it turned out fair enough. :)

I guess I have gained a special respect for the harp among all instruments... perhaps one of these days I will end up writing a harp concerto.

Thanks for the review!

Very touching song and I like how it seems to have a light spirit sound to it.

The song has a motif feel of doing something no one else around you likes and simply being able to move on with your life. You move away, you change over the course of a year and half and when they come looking for you, they see you but don't recognize you or your voice anymore thinking that you are elsewhere.

As time moves on you feel happy with your new life and have made new friends that fill the gaping hole in your heart. Yet, you feel as if something was missing. You call the person nearly a month or so later and tell them that when they say you, they didn't recognize you because you had changed into something that made you happier than you had ever been before in your whole life and they see again embracing you with open arms letting you know they don't hate you at all.

The melody of the piano here is so beautiful and heartwarming. Excellently done piece of work.

Overall, beautiful!

A heartwarming story to go with a heartwarming song? :')

Thank you, SCTE3, I truly thank you for that - particularly because that's happened to me before. Not that EXACTLY, but a similar situation.
