The stormy intro seems to make me think of Link sitting near water as the tune begins to play as he tries to fix everything he has yet to fix.

The light use of piano in the background for the up and down motion of the song is soothing on the ears. Then the violin sounds very crisp and seems to make me feel happier too. The combination of the two working together to recreate a beautiful song from a wonderful game is heartwarming to hear.

Overall, very beautiful cover.

thanks for review :)

I recognize the synth at the start but cannot remember the name of what that synth was in FL Studio. Then the drums begin to come in and it sounds like a song for exploring to.

The synth gives an atmospheric tone of exploring in space or near it. Then the second synth is very light and makes me think of looking at stars in the clear sky of the night. The drums sound clean and very nice to listen to.

For some reason with the drums I keep getting the feeling that there should be either a heavy use bass kicks or snares at times followed by a loud hi hat to give it more of a beat.

Overall, good work in progress, looking forward to the finished piece.

Actually, all of the synths used are one's I've downloaded (they're free to begin with) even though I do use FL. The bass/atmospheric synth from the beginning is called Microtrance, and happens to be one of my absolute favorites. I'll definitely play with the drums, but I'm probably keeping the pattern roughly the same.

Thanks for the review SCTE3, and I'm hoping to get this done soon.

Really smooth beat.

The song gives me an idea of slowly entering a party and everything begins to start as you greet your friends and the music plays loud with strobe lights.

The drums have a nice smooth rhythm. I like the constant use of the bass kick with hi hats coming in threes followed by a snare.

The main synth has a quirky sound to it that flows rather well. Then the second synth makes me think it is filling in the role for a bass. Also is that a bit of Gross Beat I heard being used and some Chip from sytrus?

When it comes together, the song sounds really, really nice.

Overall, great work.

Thank you! I never thought of a party when I made this song. That's what I love about other people listening to the music, everyone can interpret it differently.

Yes that is Gross Beat, that is so much fun to use. I don't believe I used Sytrus at all, just Z3TA+. Maybe I did, but I'm just too lazy to open FL back up to look.

Track feels like it could have been a bit better had you taken out the drum loop added since the heavy bass kicking seems to ruin the song. Take that out and I think this could be a much better remix than it currently is.

The synth sounds nice, has the sound of going up, up, and repeat. Then there is a second and much longer sounding synth note that gives some atmosphere to the theme as if you were sitting outside and relaxed.

The drums sound really good. The hi hats are nice although maybe juggle between three of them or more for a different drum beat. When the song gets there the later part of the constant drum kicks and snare comboing sounds very nice to me.

The deep sounding liquid synth seems a little off to me too like the drum sound from the intro.

Overall, remove that drum sound near the start and possibly work on the drums a bit and the song can be much better.

First off, I'm very sorry for the really late response. I don't know how to give a proper response to actual constructive criticism. :/

1) Nothing much I can say about the drums, really. Putting a little more variation here and there is the least I could do, I guess.

2) About the deep liquid-y synth you're referring to, I'm assuming it's the arps you're referring to.

Really loved the vocals for this song since they give a very comforting feeling. Is the tune meant to be for an anime or what? That or maybe the intro to a game, in either case it fits for both.

The vocals are very easy to listen to and make you feel relaxed. The synth playing gives me a thought of a dream sequence playing in my head where people just drift by with their name being shown. The guitar is smoothly played. The drums have a very smooth rhythm and I like the double bass kicking combined with the hi hat pattern ( as in two drum kicks right around one hi hat).

The lyrics are really nice and enjoyable.

Overall, excellent collaboration song.

Yes, this is sort of a cover of an anime opening so I guess it would give off that feeling. Thanks for leaving a review!

Really like the way the song sounds. The intro makes me think I am getting ready for a party of some sort. The DJ mashes buttons to make the music play, the party begins...

The synth at the start makes me think of a fun little starting party. Then the drums strike as a simple beat for the most part. However if I could, may I recommend it come with a constant hi hat pattern if it doesn't clash too much with the rest of the song. The filtered hi hat pattern sounds great but just curious as to how a second hi hat that is constantly playing one rhythm would sound.

The dub sounds make me think of androids rising up and simply staring at the party people feeling a bit used. Nice dub filter sound though, I'm guessing that is Ohmicide? Plug in for Ableton or FL Studio then?

Overall, song sounds great!

Kruizy responds:

Thanks for the review! I think a constant hi-hat pattern would probably sound better, but I'm always experimenting, trying new things out. Though, the hi-hats are not really filtered as such; an LFO controlling the pan settings is what gives it that sound.

As for the dub synth, the filtering was done with FabFilter Volcano. Ohmicide was used to distort the sound and give it the aggression.

Cheers.

This sounds a lot like something that would fit as either credit or intro music to a game actually. Sounds very well done too.

The song sounds a bit low res at times to me. Could maybe have exported it at a higher resolution?

The drums sound rather nice and simple to listen. Then the back and forth traveling of the synth was nice and gave a bouncy feel for the ears to enjoy. The piano with a bit of reverb was fun to listen to. The song coming together as one piece is nice. Really like the echo of the vocals when they come in. The windy aftertaste to it is fun to hear.

The vocals near the middle sound kind of muddy. Is it saying anything special or is it just mumbling?

Overall, song sounds really nice, however it doesn't fit into the dubstep genre at all. I would say it fits more in the Video Game genre.

bickels responds:

thank you the vocals are there to spice it up a little :)

i would class this as a softer dubstep i'm going to work on some heavy stuff and see how it pans out but i'm also trying to get into the drum step scene so i can keep my work fresh.

i really want to find someone to collab with but thats getting a bit hard but thanks for taking the time to review this :) x

This sounds rather fantastic and as I hear it I think this would make a great alternative finale song for the last one you face in the tournament while playing the games. Has a hyped up feel to it motivating you to push on and defeat the foe.

The main synth has a bit of a crunchy guitar sound to it with some slight reverb added to it for an atmospheric effect. The drums are simple and work well with the song. Really enjoy the main synth rhythm that most people know and enjoy. The bass is also very relaxing.

Overall, great cover!

LuigiofDarkness responds:

Really glad you enjoyed it! :D

This was a nicely done interpretation. I get a feel of someone waiting as time passes by as they slowly die.

The intro was nice to listen to and gives a feel of waiting. Then it changes to drum and bass ans gives more of a feeling that one is being forced to do something until they eventually die.

The drums have a nice little kick to them that makes one think of a robot controlling the human. The synth makes me think of the desert levels in Sonic the Hedgehog games. Then the piano in the background has a slight reverb to it that I enjoy hearing.

Also I get a slight feeling I'm hearing a light and distorted vocal track in the background too.

Overall, very nice interpretation, sounds great.

The Sega Genesis warped my fragile little mind. I guess it shows in some of my music.

You know, to my knowledge, you are the first person to actually hear the vocals. By the time I get done with them, they wind up unrecognizable. Good ear.

I am more than happy to hear that you get the idea behind this. You describe the song as if you had the same dream. You just gave me a creativity boner.

Thanks for the review and as always, I hope you enjoy my other tracks as well. -HG-

The song makes me think of the Ghost I-IV set by Nine Inch Nails. However at the same time it makes me think of Silent Hill with the noise at the intro to the track.

The main synth sounds like a mix between a guitar and a synth making it have a rather unique sound for the track. The drums give that nice pacing vibe to the piece. The bass has a nice rhythm to it and makes me think it is being played on a piano in the lower note range to gain a bass sound. Also like the sound of the tool like things. The secondary synth coming on later adds a really nice touch to the song that makes me think a bit of Earthbound.

Overall, great song and sounds really good.

Thank you kind Sir. Its not very often that I get feedback with a dissection of the piece. This lets lets me know I'm on the right track. With love, -HG-
