oh the memories

You really did a number on my head with this one. It brings back old memories of when I had no worries and I just played Sonic all day. It sounds even better than the original Ica Cap song which is seems to be ruled as pretty good in my book.

It also sounds like it could towards being credit music for a game or flash or possibly the music you hear before reaching a final boss. The fade out effect was pretty greatly used to your advantage as well.

Well enjoyed and downloaded.

Well thanks. I tried to really "remix" this song instead of just remastering it. If there's one thing I've learned, you can't be fully proud of a remix until you add your own element truly to it and remix the composition. Ice Cap has always been one of my favorites from the Sonic classics and I'm glad I've done this song justice. I was also a little worried about the fade, but I'm glad it turned out good.

Thanks for the review SCTE3!

Somewhat creepy feeling

This had a pretty damn creepy feel to it overall while listening to it.

It felt like you were being trapped in a building desperately seeking a way out of the place and back to where you once were long ago, free.... While you're walking you see old faces of the past who had betrayed you or once knew and no longer feel safe around.

You have a feel or need to just destroy them in grotesque ways and in the end you just end up wanting yourself dead because you can't take it anymore and wish to be free of all evil and misery you have caused and received.

Overall, it sounds like a wondrous beat for a horror moive or a suspense thriller.

Not how I imagined it... but that's an interesting take on the song. I didn't want it to have such a trapped and depressing feeling, but I guess that's what I managed to give it.

Thanks for the review.

Sweet house beat

The whole feel of it flowed together well and makes you feel like you're in a dance club of some sort trying to not embarrass yourself too much. I like the huge wave sound in it. Sounded pretty hot to me as well. Overall this is a spectacular showing of what house could and should be like sometimes. Well enjoyed and listened to.

Drum 'n' Bass feel

This had a pretty deep feel of drums and hi hats to it. The bass flowed into the beat pretty nicely as well. The guitar somewhat felt like it was off but I still think this is a pretty damn ncie rocking feel with it if you were in a car or just at a public restraunt wanting something to listen to and was bored. Pretty good but could have been better.

Thanks for this critical, but helpful review.

Wonderful job

It definetily has that deep jazzy city streets feel to it like you were almost in the 1960's walkign around in the streets looking for something you had long ago once gave up on it. The texture of the audio flows together wonderfully although the saxophone could have been a bit longer in loop prospects but I guess in the end it flowed together pretty damn well. Nice job there.

Wow, thanks for this review! :-)

Wonderful Job

The guitar backtracking was wonderful. The overall sound quality happens to flow together well which is what I like seeing in music instead of completely random stupid shit. The lyrics were pretty damn sweet but at some parts the guitar is louder so adding lyrics to the description might be a good idea.

The drumming backbeats we're pretty damn sweet. The bass was silent if it was even present at all. The beats felt liek they were slammed in my face as well which is good since I like that kind of music too. It also sounded like there was a piano in the backgroudn which blended in pretty well too and was enjoyed.

Overall it was a good song to listen to. Well enjoyed and look forward to seeing more songs from your band or you in the future. Very Nice Job.

Thanks for the review! Doing a cover always is a great challenge, as you have to stick to what is recognized, while at the same time making it new to the ear! I'm glad you thought we managed to blend all elements of the song nicely, cause we had to blend all the new stuff with the original idea, and that was tough, not only in production, but mostly when writing the new parts.
The bass usually has a secondary role to our work, but in places, I must admit, I could have brought it a bit forward.
Thanks again!

Good little loop

I gave it a 7 since it l acked a feel of dancing to it. It was an ok mix you made there but the 2 second cut off at the end really makes it hurt way too much. It probally have gone better if titled simple dance mix since it doesn't seem to be all that Christmas like in feel or rhythm at all. Still a good attempt.

as i said has nothing to do with christmas.

Very Nice

This actually sounds pretty nice for a classically done remake.
Makes you feel like you fell back into an age where times were simple with no hassle then you suddenly have to remember your past, find yourself and wakeup as you make your way to a fortress and destroyed what had threatened your life for so long.

After all is done, you come back to a somewhat subtle peace as you rest atop the fortress wondering what it was that had brought you to where you are and all the events that lead to it.

Beautifully woven remake there.
Well enjoyed.

Thanks for the review shadow. I really didn't think it would be that good being my first remix. I'm probably going to remix some more popular songs in the future.

Nice touch

Very well done loop, could possibly come in as a little boss tune for a fight within a 8-bit remake of a game. Very good job.

zcaar responds:

Eh.......I don't think so, but this was made a long time ago, check out my new song

Halloween

It has a nice halloween feel to it and if the end wasn't cut off it would be a really nice loop
