I found this to be a simple and relaxing interactive fact game.

I think the most interesting fact that appeared on here is that high heels were originally meant to be worn by men to signify their masculinity and high status. I also found the F-Zero X having unlimited tracks to be quite interesting. Seeing the game generates unlimited tracks on the X-Cup means that game can truly be endless! The lab grown penis that was eventually grafted onto a rabbit was pretty funny I think.

Another good funny fact was that there are eighteen different animals for animal crackers even though they all taste the same, good sense of humor. Hello Kitty (Kitty White), originating in London and being five apples tall was also neat.

A fact that needs to be changed is "The Game Boy is the best selling game system of all time." It's actually the third best best selling of all time right below the Nintendo DS (#2 top seller) and Playstation 2 (#1 top seller). Another error was the Wrigleys Gum fact, first is spelled as fist.

The medals were also easy to get for the most part. The secret medal however took the longest, the hint that it involves one of the few facts mentioning high places narrows it down, however; the fact it can take awhile for those facts to appear makes it a medal that just tests how patient you are to find it too.

The music that plays is calming. However, it may not have been a bad idea to clip off a few seconds of the song so that it loops rather than restarting. Saying this as every time the song would restart, the volume control in the game would appear again.

Saminat did a nice job on making a background for this little game. The only thing I think could have made it better is if the clouds were moving in the background slowly over time.

Overall, aside from a couple of errors on facts and the Secret medal taking awhile to find, this was a rather fun game. It also makes a nice time waster if the player has nothing better to do with their time.

The game is so-so, I feel it could have been improved if you had spent a little more time on it.

The controls are simple enough which is always good for games aiming towards simplicity. However, the only thing about the controls I didn't like was that you had to turn your ship in a direction to make it fire a bullet which can be kind of bothersome if you are aiming to destroy targets as quickly as possible. If it was possible to add a button that allows one to fire a bit more often that would be good.

That or possibly adding powerups to the game that speed up how quickly or how many rounds are fired when rotating the ship. Could make it to where some targets drop off a powerup after being defeated, possibly make it after every five or six targets a player has destroyed.

The music, while diversity is good, having too many songs is not a great idea. I would fix it to where the menu has one song and the main game itself rotates between three to four songs instead of over ten.

Overall, it's not bad, but it's not good. There is also a lot of room for improvement in my opinion. Have fun making future games!

Kwing responds:

I fixed the firing rate because originally there were no limits to it, and players could pepper the entire screen with bullets. As is, the firing speed is three bullets per second, assuming you fire perfectly when the cooldown expires.

The powerup thing is sounding more and more appealing, so if I get enough ideas I may actually get around to adding those in.

Originally I wanted to include all of the music in the Audio Portal, but my code wouldn't seem to work (it refused to detect the id3 info for the files, which I was using to check the validity of random song IDs). Ultimately I decided to just put in a bunch of music by David Orr. If I had neglected to list the music in the game, people might have actually thought that the song selection was truly random.

This game was incredibly fun. It was also quite fun that the more you found the harder it became to finish as you had to look even closer for the ones you had not found yet. It was also nice to see that one or two incredibly recent (within the last 6 years) modern classics had been added as well (Jake and Finn standing out the most).

The music was quite fantastic and really relaxing to listen to while playing this game. It gave the feel that you were in a time capsule while playing this game.

The graphics were amazing to say they least. Given that it was a poxpower drawn poster, it is pretty hard to top something that well done with pixels that details so many characters fittingly crossing over and doing things with other characters. I would say that buying those posters will most likely be a terrific decision that will improve your life all together!

The game play was good although I feel you could have had a different way of zooming in such as having the player press A or D to zoom in and out. The circle that appeared anywhere seemed a little odd given that when the circle is complete it goes to being a full rainbow. However I feel it fits the game.

The medals were also a lot of fun to collect. The only one that seemed to suck a bit was the Newgrounds medal given you have to click on the Newgrounds tank BEFORE playing the game for that medal to register. Was it a programming error you couldn't fix? The rest of the medals were easy to get at the start but harder over time due to having to look everywhere to find them all. The only medal this game is missing that I feel could have been added is one for clicking the Tardis.

Overall, amazingly fun game, amazing graphics, and great music!

I feel this game could have been much better than it currently is. Right off at the start of the tutorial I noticed warning was spelled as warnung, no other grammar mistakes seemed to have been made.

The graphics were old in style and reminded me of video games for the older game systems. The game play style itself however made me think of the Shift series but instead of going all over you are only trying to go in one direction, up.

The controls were alright but I feel a couple of things could have been different. X or L to jump and back out should have been X or M to keep users from reaching up to another row. C or K could have been C or B / F or K. The way you reset by using Space is alright as it is. Could have been Enter as well.

The game play itself was kind of aggravating, as soon as you jump, regardless of whether you got up to the next block or not, the screen would start scrolling. Why not have it scroll with you as you go along instead of after the first jump? Aside from that I did not see many other problems with game play. However, at times when trying to jump higher it felt difficult with the block formations regardless of whether or not I switched polarity.

Overall, I feel this game could use a little more work in order to make it a much better game. Have fun with future games!

This was rather nice to look through. I even spotted the few interviews I had done there as well. Only thing I would suggest changing about the Codex is a few more medals. Aside from that, it's very much like walking through a little time capsule and reading the interviews in a new way (via this wonderful interactive flash).

Overall, wonderful!

deathink responds:

Thanks man. For the review, but also the interviews :)

This game is rather fun and simple. The music being cheery helps with the overall atmosphere of keeping the game fun. The only thing I would even recommend changing about this game is maybe having the music change a bit when a new area in the sky is reached.

This was entertaining.

Story:

The story itself seems to be that the person has been stranded and living there alone for two years then driven in mad in the time span of two to three days by either a ghost or hallucination. Ultimately ending up in him going insane getting some blood on the walls and his suit at the end with his helmet taken off at last.

Game play:

Very simple. A couple of minor things I noticed that could be fixed very quickly, one being "it's" should be "is it". As in "Why is it so cold?". Another one, when it asks you to grab the green key so you can leave the base, why not allow the player to grab the red key and see what is inside the Infirmary? Could possibly answer where the ghost came from hopefully.

Then another thing I am curious about, what happened to the "Lunar Vehicle" key and why is there a Cryogenics key but no Cryogenics door in sight? Taken out at the last minute or just there for visual effect?

Audio:

The minimal sounds heard in the background give a feeling of being there on the moon alone. It could be enough to drive someone insane after being on the moon alone for two years, unless perhaps the others died over the course of two years and John simply decided not to make note of it.

The "Aaaaaaaaaaaaah" echo and "Look behind you" seem a bit out of place for a game where none of the dialogue boxes get a voice for them. However, they still make the game more scary to play.

Overall, aside from a minor spelling error at one point and the question of what is in the infirmary, the game is great. Best played at night with lights off and headphones.

=Wow, thank you for your excellent review, I saw you noticed a lot of details in the game and I appreciate this, it means you've played and you've committed to understand the history, many things will be revealed in the PREQUEL, however at the end John is possessed by the entity, here is the reason because John start to bleed, just like the other astronaut, in the station before the self-destruction John feels cold because the self-destruction was a hallucination, usually in scary movies like the movie "The Sixth Sense" before the ghost appears the protagonist feels cold , this means that the presence in the game entered in the space station and created a hallucination, in the end this is a game that you have to really understand, because there are hidden details in each scene!=
Thanks again for your review!! ;)

The game itself seems to be great.

The song that plays makes me think of Gameboy games where you explored long levels. Gives an old school gaming vibe to the game. The sound effects were enjoyable too.

The story of Mo being kicked down into a rabbit hole is kind of odd. However since it did say anywhere I take it he was sent into the rabbit's home or a giant cave given how the place looks.

The graphics were great and fun to look at.

The game play was good and I noticed right off the bat the real difference between difficulties seemed to be how often the spikes appeared making where you jump much trickier to do. As it never ends, practicing could make one go quite far.

Overall, fun game and I did not seem to encounter any kind of glitches which is fantastic.

Cheers for the review! I was wondering if you thought there were any areas that could be improved so to warrant 5 stars. Keeping in mind that this is going to be released on the mobile with an adventure mode which will have unlockable pickups and an end game.

Cheers Rob
