For a joke piece it sounds like it could be even better. What program was used to create this?

I feel the drums could have been layered for a heavier more hip hop kick. The rest seems to be pretty mediocre. Could have been a slightly funnier parody if you had used an actual voice instead of a text to speech program. Oh well.

Overall, nice parody but I feel you could have put more effort into this.

This is pretty sick. It has a sound to it like you were watching a dark sequence happening in a game where people are being altered and turned into demonic mooks of some sort. Very nice and dark sound to it!

Glad you like.

The song sounds nice but I do have a problem with it.

The bass in the song seems to need a bit of tweaking, cancel out the noise on the bass so it doesn't have an additional echo to it. That or try to filter it a bit. The bass kick sounds a bit out of place at first but as the song progresses begins to sound more and more in place.

The song seems to be a fusion of jazz and chiptune which is relaxing to listen to. Song makes me really want to go out and play in some snow.

Overall, aside from issues with the bass rhythm, song is great.

Slippery bass.

I really like the synth at the start right off the bat. It has some reverb which makes me think of floating off in a pool of water as my sadness begins to fade into the water. Remembering the sad and happy times I have had with friends in the past.

The piano sounds beautiful and I really like the echo that is heard after each note. The claps and drum rhythm seem to make the song feel a bit more upbeat as in reminding the listener there are still happy memories and times to enjoy.

The song itself, has a wonderful surround sound to it. The only think I may recommend is possibly an ambient bass in the background if it is not already there. As to give the song much more atmosphere.

Overall, the song is beautiful. Would be a great song to listen to during those times one feels really sad and needs a song to make them feel better.

thanks for a great comment :))

The bass at the start sounds rather mellow.

Then the song slowly begins to work into a full rhythm. The drums sound really nice and I like that hard kick you have going on too. Then the drums begin to layer on themselves and create a full beat. The industrial sound to the drums is very pleasant.

The synth sounds smooth. I like how it seems to immerse you into feeling rather calm yet sad at the same time about your past.

The vocals however, for some reason or another sound rather grainy or maybe they are just low quality since you hear a bit of quality loss on the vocals.

Overall, aside from vocals, sounds nice.

the vocals i made em sound like an old tape.

I find this song to be quite enjoyable. I feel it could fit in exploring a warehouse or space station.

The synth has a great atmosphere to it. The backing synth sounds a bit like space vocals and reminds me of Mother 3. The drums also sound quite fantastic and have a smooth rhythm.

The bass is nice, would be nice to hear a bit of funk from time to time, however it sounds fine as it is.

Overall, nothing wrong with this song as far as I can tell aside from bass needing a bit more funk from time to time.

Sweet! Thanks for the review, I have an 8-bit sounding version of this song, it would fit perfectly with the space station (background/ theme/ type) game! Bass is one topic I noticed I'm always critiqued on (I'll start paying more attention to the bass. One reason may be the fact that I'm not able to work with speakers at the moment and have to judge the quality of the bass, based on the different headphones I have.... IDK, Thanks very much for the review!!

The song has a nice flow to it.

The intro has a chaotic feel to it. Then it changes to sounding like something I would listen to on the Sega Genesis while I play a Sonic the Hedgehog. Makes me think of the pyramid levels.

The synth is nice and solid. The drums are also nice but could use work such as use of bass kicks that make the song have a better kick to it for the whole song.

The dub sounds seem rather out of place for this song as well. Very light use of them for parts like the mid way and ending would have done. As it is, the dub sounds just seem to clash with the song more than anything.

Overall, I would work on incorporating the wubs better and making a much better sounding drum rhythm.

Thanks a lot :)

I agree in the sense that the first half is much more "Dubstep" than the 2nd half, and doesn't really feel like the same song throughout, (I tried using the same note patterns and chords through the whole thing but I either varied too much in that, or I changed the tone and style too much [most likely both haha])

Thanks for the review :)

The intro to the song is a nice build.

Then the song begins to get an industrial hip hop sound. The tune makes me think of someone roaming in their car blaring this loud with the bass turned up all the way.

The bass for the song in my opinion is a bit too loud for me to enjoy it.

The drums are good. The rhythm does not sound to me as if it clashes with anything. The ambient synth sounds like it is going from right to left and back which makes for a great atmosphere.

The slight use of reverse noise around 2:05 is nice. The minimoog I hear later into the song is pretty nice. I like how it gives the song a bit of electronic gaming joy to it.

Overall, very nicely done song.

houzatosis responds:

Actually the minimoog v comes in at around 1:06, the synth at 2:05 is the ymVST, but I'm glad you liked it.

The classical music in the background from Ren and Stimpy makes this quite hilarious.

The voices are both very nice. The one guy is whining the whole time while the works on pulling it out. Then the splinter is pulled out and given back to them. The sound effects make this even better.

Overall, not much to say, this is hilarious.
