Not too bad

Although I guess it could be a bit more dramatic feeling with a drum roll track playing making you feel as if this was the start of the final journey to stop an ultimate evil here. Still not too bad for a video game piece anyways, gives a feeling as if you were in tutorial mode in a video game. Also kind of makes me think of Final Fantasy VIII as well which is pretty cool actually.

The drums give a feel as if the final boss was starting or something along those lines for the game that you would play and hear this one in. The violin is nice to hear. I liked the flute since it gives kind of a light feel as if it could be okay to screw up during training but during the real battle there will be no room for mistakes right or the boss will possibly strike a killing blow to the party before you use phoenix down.

The trumpets were a nice effect at the end I think as they give a quick softer feel I think. The tune gives a great feel of trial and error running though so that is what makes it a very good piece to listen to I think.

Overall, greatly done piece of work, would not mind seeing it used in a flash game or video game actually.

Interesting. I never quite saw it as a tutorial level, but now that you mention it I can see one character going "Come on, [player!] this way!" Then having a "press 'A' to swing your oversized sword!" button coming on.

Thank you for the kind words and the review :]

Pirates of the sea

I can just see this going perfectly with a montage of pirates at sea actually as they search high and low for mythical creatures as well as treasure too. However the leader is a girl pirate who took over at a young age when her father who was also a pirate got killed years earlier and she has learned to defend herself with helps of the other friendly pirates on board wishing to keep her safe in his memory. Great piece of work though.

The chorus is greatly done here as they provide high notes with their voices making you feel rather good. The pan flute was pretty cool and kind of made me think of an ocarina being played actually. The cymbals and tribal drums make a nice combination as they make you feel as if you were at sea with that pirate queen fighting beside her for good reasons.

The tune is a greatly dramatic pirate tun, nice!!

Overall, great piece of work.

Thanks for the review! I've always struggled with the chorus, but here I think I finally got the technique down.

Hopefully more to come!

Pretty good and creepy

I kind of find it creepy because at the start it sounds like someone is saying something in low pitch and simply whispering to scare you as well. Very creepy though for that part, the atmosphere of the song also seems to be dark. Could make a good tune for the intro or theme to a zombie movie as well where a few people are still trying to survive in a zombie like world.

The xylophone gives a darker tone rather than a happy image here for once actually. The violins sound dark when the strings are hit here and give a feel as if the guy was checking corners and simply being curious as to where he may be safe to stay for the night at next without being found out by zombies again.

The drum kicks are a nice touch and give that heartbeat feel here which is nice to know too. The piano gives a few low blows as if saying the zombies will come if you do not remain on the move as well. The low whispering girl sounds give a feel of weirdness here.

Overall, good beat, whispers make it creepy.

SkyeWint responds:

The heartbeat "kick" actually is a heartbeat. Probably why it sounds so much like one. The whole thing was meant to be dark and kind of sad as well. It's hard to hear the "sad" bit though, that part is more subtle towards the beginning and end.

Thanks!

Cute

I found this to be a very cute sounding piece of work actually. The tune just gives a feel as if you were immersed into a bedtime story with clocks and cats together with cats playing near the clocks then laying down and purring as they fall asleep leaning next to the clocks.

The xylophone sounds adorable here. The violin and piano both sound nice though as a team. The laser effect feels kind of weird and then there is a bass line. Then things get darker towards the end as the hungry luid eventually becomes Luis.

Overall, wonderfully cute piece though, sounds like it would make a great loop. Also why is there an extra three minutes of silence?

ThePlanetPluto responds:

Thanks! As for the silence, it was an error we hadn't noticed til later on haha

Awesome

Well I found this to be quite a cool beat anyways. It seems to have everything needed to create a full and exciting piece of work as well. Really love how this one turned out too. Not bad for a NGADM piece either, cool.

The synth sounds hyper and real jumpy as well as it kind of creates the illusion that is going up forever a lot of the times. The quick build ups and restarts make it a very interesting piece to listen to. The bass is simple and gives a very nice backing bone for the song as the tune goes forth to keep the listener interested in hearing the full piece.

The drums are very nice and give a good touch and help the beat by creating some great rhythm. Love when the tune just gets calm and there is a long build up as a chorus lulls you into enjoying it even more as the tune comes back on for moments. Then it comes back the full way slowly and begins to build its way back up the full tune. Very nice.

Overall, really cool piece of work once again, enjoyed it.

Crazy remix

Well this makes Pinkie sound even more CRAZY. When she said "I threw this party just for you" followed by a gun shot you can just see someone strapped in and getting shot at. Really creative and cool remix piece though. Makes you feel really happy while you listen to it as well.

The synth is crazily happy sounding and I really enjoy how it sounds too. Nice to see that turned out happy. Her voice is greatly remixed and keeps making me think of the episode "Feeling Pinkie Keen", also I find her to sound highly adorable as well. Should try making a piece with what few words Derpy Hooves has said as well.

The bass sounds greatly done and very dreamlike here as the beat moves on. The drums also sound great as well. Well done there, the count up was cool too as it changed to full glitchcore style.

Overall, Pinkie sounds awesome here and totally random.

forgivensake responds:

Thank you for your well thought out review. I have done a piece with Derpy Hooves. It's called Derpy Grooves (which I did not know at the time was also the name of another MLP musician artist) and it is a dubstep song. However, there are plenty of errors in it that I would like to fix now that I've started to become more familiar with my software and other products out there.

Meow meow meow

I always think I am hearing Meow instead of Nyan anyways. Incredibly cute and catchy looping piece though. Nice to see you decided to do a remake of it with a cooler sounding way of making it catchy still. Really nice piece though.

Loved how the synth and xylophone combined to create a wonderful sounding piece that just seems to make you feel a lot like smiling while you listen to it as well. The bass is cool and sounds easy to follow along with, also kind of makes me want to bob my head a bit for some reason. The drums are simple and help finish the beat with a simple rhythm.

Overall, very cute remake, nice job.

Thanks for the review :)

Seems alright

The beat seems like it would make well for some generic video game song anyways. Could be roaming the area or solving a puzzle I guess. Pretty cool for a demo piece but just really dull as well.

The synth sounds pretty cool when hitting the higher notes here, kind of hear voices with it strangely as well. The bass is cool and holds a generic beat alongside the drums too.

Overall, generic, could be better I guess.

Forest

The sounds of this kind of make you think it was a quirky adventure game happening in a forest with tons of woodpeckers in the background just pecking at trees for a beat to happen.

The plastic sound was pretty cool I think. The synth has a cartoonish feel to it as if it was a child's game you were possibly playing as well. The bass flows nicely and sounds real simple too. The drums are cool too.

Overall, woodpeckers.

Thanks, I agree with you :P

Great remake

This is a pretty cool remake I think, really flows well and has a sweet beat going with it as well too. The flow of the beat does make you think of the dramatic parts of that movie too.

The synth sounds awesome and I loved the breakdown solo as it sounded quite well done. Love the wet bass too as it gives a dramatic feel as if you were fighting for all of your freedom at long last as well. The drums give a good beat to make the song go forth.

Overall, creative and nice remake with a synth solo added.
