Well then

This is one heck of a remix of that song. From creepy, sinister, and awesome to 20% more awesome. This would make a cool boss song for some flash game I think, excellent work here!!

thank you very much! glad you liked it :)

Peaceful

I like this piano loop a lot. Brings a lot of good and bad memories. Mostly sad ones, ones where I used to have so much fun with friends and as time passes they seem to care less and less, but time also brings new friends if one is patient enough for them to show. Thanks for creating a beautiful short piece. It makes a wonderful loop, would be nice in some kind of sad art game.

Great times!!

I have to say those games were so fun to play when I was around five or six. Looking back now they are still fun to play from time to time due to the songs in it and the ever famous Mew glitch that many players have come to know and love even. Really nice and soothing remake of that piece from the gameboy games though. Pretty awesome.

The bass is what really draws you in with its constant up and down beat that just rocks and lulls you to relax while you battle your foe who is either a bad guy or just a trainer looking to annoy and weaken your Pokemon.

The synth is always relaxing too since it is soft yet very light and gives you the courage to pull off something incredible to win the battle. The drums are also cool and have a good rhythm to them I think.

Overall, wonderful cover!!

Sounding Wheatly

I have no idea why but I really want to think this is the theme of Wheatly from Portal2 even though the song is brand new and never ever appeared in that game either. Kind of odd right? Really weird technical sounding piece of audio though, still pretty cool though. Maybe it would make for a great space level song which would also be really nice.

The tune kind of has a quirky tone to it that makes you feel rather weird anyways. Also kind of reminds me of the older Sonic the Hedgehog game levels where you were up in space or on the Death Egg a lot so this turned out to be a good nostalgic tune as well.

The synth has a highly spaced out and quirky tone to it that kind of just makes you think of space or a video game that takes place in space anyways. The bass kind of just backs up the main piece and gets you relaxed feeling as you explore the area as well. The drums are simple and fun sounding here too.

The secondary synth sounds I hear from time to time make me think of the turret opera from the end of Portal2.

Overall, really nice and well done tune, cool.

I wanna play portal so bad now...

I saw the turret easter egg though and I see the resemblence between the two.

Thanks for the review!

Beautiful

This is simply a wonderful cover of that ending song, great job here. I really loved this one a lot. That game kind of makes you feel sad when you have to leave her in the end though so that kind of sucks but at least you get the companion cube back anyways.

The drums were pleasant I think. The synth gives a dreamy feel like you may never see that person again but you know everything will be alright for you both even as you part ways. The bass is lovely too.

Overall, wonderful cover of the end piece.

Strange

Start kind of reminds me of an episode of Friendship is Magic where Applejack and Pinkie Pie are zooming in and out of seeing theirselves in the trophy. Really interesting piece of work though. Kind of makes you think of panic as if a murder had just happened and everyone was wanting to see what had happened too. Very interesting piece to say the least. Heh, that rhymed.

The voices are all really good though, where did they come from anyways?

The eight bit sound I hear is cool since it kind of makes you think this was a deleted scene from a really old video game actually. The drums and rumbling feel of the bass are also chaotic feeling as well. That sine wave going up and down gives a strange feel of chaos too I think.

Overall, weird song, would do great as a background piece for a creepypasta I think.

PIED3 responds:

Thanks very much for the long review. The voices are all from YouTube videos i found of various fights. Glad you enjoyed it!

Pleasing

Well I found this to be a completely pleasing remake of that song from Dark Cloud 2 although I prefer the cute kitty girl from the first one actually. She just seemed real calm and helpful and sounded nice too. Awesome remake though, would not mind seeing it used in a flash game at this point either.

The drums com in rolls and sound quite awesome to me at least so I really enjoyed that. The synth was rather cool and I like how it lingers on for a bit at the start as well. The trumpet sounded nice here I think. The click thing sounded cute as well.

Overall, really nice remake of a song. Kind of makes me think of the really old Final Fantasy games too.

Ixalon responds:

Thank you really much! I really indeed focused on those drums cause the original had great drum effects and sounds too, so wanted them in here too.

Glad you liked it! Still going to make more remakes from Dark Cloud 2!

Nice dub

Well it sounds pretty pleasing on the ears anyways so I will give you that much anyways. Kind of like mind candy as well. The tune plays out a beat that makes you feel weird yet somehow at peace with yourself too as if you could change your bad habits and ways into good habits that will last you a life time and maybe you can save the world too and such.

This piece just makes you feel real calm though for the most part. The synth is really nice and gives a dream like sequence as it plays out too which is cool. Even when it breaks into dub it still remains rather calm to your heart and mind which is quite nice I think since it makes you feel happy.

The bass is subtle and very soothing on the heart to me. Makes me feel happy as well. The drums sound pretty cool and carry a smooth beat that can just calm you down. The dub sounds make it feel like parts of memories were just looping over and over letting you think of the good and bad times you have had in your life.

Overall, really nice piece of work.

Smooth

Well I found this to be a peaceful work of art anyways right up to where it changes over to dubstep as well. Kind of makes you think of yesteryear and thinks being nice and as soon as the dub blasts in it kind of makes you wonder if you enjoy your life or not now. Most hopefully do though.

The guitar and bass work together to create a great piece of art as they give a blast of visuals in your mind though. The drums were also very calming as well I think. The synth seems to blast a dark wave at you kind of making you feel a bit strange though so that works.

The voice is cool but who is that? The dub sounds are rather calming and lead back to the intro of the song with little to no notice that the dub sounds have stopped which is cool.

Overall, interestingly calm piece of work.

Relaxing

Can kind of see some people just relaxing as they lay down in a field of flowers and relax for the first time in a long time as they finally escaped from the facility they were raised in so long. They had only heard of the blue skies and sunlight in a storybook when they were younger.

The piano, synth, and xylophone all combine to create a beautiful main beat that makes you feel like giving a big smile and being able to feel happy for once in your life as well. The bass is subtle and nicely added to the background as it gives you some nice visuals of a wonderful outside place that makes you feel happy.

The drums are also great and provide a great backing beat. The guitar was pretty cool and calm to hear. This turned out to be a really nice tune, great work here on it.

Overall, good happy beat.

Thank you very much! It's kind of amazing that you pictured almost the exact same thing that I did while I was creating the track. I guess I created the atmosphere that I was aiming for haha. To not hear anything bad about this song is a huge plus, because I've been working towards a song where all of the instruments blend together to make a nice simple beat; and I hope this is the track that accomplished that! Thank you for a very uplifting review!
