Classy

Well the guitar here sounds very classy and I like the light echo effect you left here on the song as well. Gives a feeling of peace as well. I can also see someone walking on a highway while this song plays in the background too. This is a beautiful guitar song I think. It could make a great music video as well actually. Very well composed.

Really just enjoy how you layered the guitars on each other too. The bass line here is smooth and helps the song keep on moving ahead. The drums carry a smooth rhythm and beat that makes you feel like they are at their ends trying to figure out how to move ahead in life too. Then the guitar keeps on coming and giving more hope. Beautiful song.

Overall, really love this song, nice first entry.

Thanks for the feedback, and for taking the time to listen! A lot of what you said in your review -particularly the emotions and imagery - was what I was going for when I recorded the song, so I'm glad it came across even in this rough recording.

Entertaining

Well this turned out rather well and to be quite enjoyable as well. The beat seems rather well done too. Like how it starts away from the tune and then quickly becomes a remix of the tune which is really swell. Can't really find much I don't like about it. I guess you could have added in something else to act as vocals I guess.

The synth sounds cheery and very well done. The bell synth was happy feeling on the ears as well too. The bass is completely bouncy and a pleasure to listen to. The vocals were and the drums with claps made for a nice combination, very nice work there.

Overall, very nice tune.

YakovlevArt responds:

Hahaha, yeah actual vocals from the original would have been sick touch, but i felt the track was too short for the vocals.

If I find myself making another 90's remix, I'll make sure to add original vocals =]

Thanks for the review buddy.

Catchy

Well I liked the vocals at the start in the song and then the beat feels like it begins to pick itself up and form very quickly I think which is nice. Could easily do some kind of robot dance to this anyways which makes it pretty neat I think. Very nicely done trance beat, I enjoy it anyways.

The bass is real heavy here and seems to carry the whole song as well while playing a great bass riff think. The drums sound rather simple and help the beat move along for the most part. The synth when it does come on just sounds like the bass but has a really cool rhythm to go with it I think. Very nicely done beat, I like it a lot. Sounds cool.

Really enjoyed the synth breakdown since it felt like the start to a boss battle there and then the rest of the song came back in to help finish it all up. Very nice work there. The claps were a nice touch.

Overall, great trance beat, very catchy.

Video gaming

This sounds like it would make for a very nice snow or freezing cold level in a video game actually. Really enjoy the tone of it and how it feels completely chilled out as well. Very nice work, slow to start up the beat but it gives that cold feel like you need to get somewhere to warm up as well. Not bad at all.

The bass has a nice sound to it and I like how it lingers for a bit after the note is hit. The windy effect here is great and gives the feel of actually kind of being stuck out there in the snow as well trying to find someplace to go inside and get warm so you don't freeze.

The synth has a lighthearted charm to it as if showing you that someone out there cares for your well being and is asking you to come inside so you won't freeze. The drums are light in beat and very nice on the ears.

Overall, nice chilly beat, I enjoy it.

Wow quite the analysis there, but I love it! You're pretty much spot on with the feel I wanted to get, you even mentioned things I didn't really think about. Makes me wonder if I should put more thought into some songs. Thanks for the in-depth review, always appreciate them!

Kind of messy

The sound hear sounds a bit messy to me with the way it plays. I can hear some other sounds in the back but it sounds like you applied a few filters and then layered up on the bass to me. Song could use some work to be smoother though, not the worst first dubstep attempt anyways but could use some work.

The dub sounds alright but it sounds like you have some kind of filter layered over everything else here which heavily distorts what the song could be sounding like sadly.

The bass is probably the hugest issue at hand here since it sounds pretty layered actually. Could do with fixing that up a bit I think and maybe lighten up on it as well.

The drum track is probably the saddest part as it is the lightest thing here on the entire track.

Overall, should probably work on trying to equalize the sound so all the instruments can be heard I think. Not bad though.

Pretty sweet

Well I like how it makes me think of candy anyways and the beat is pretty nice as well as it builds up into dubstep very calmly. Would not mind seeing this used in some kind of calm flash anyways. The piece seems to make you feel happy just hearing it I think which is pretty nice I think.

The dub sounds were real enjoyable and I like how it stays light for the most part too since it doesn't give a feeling of being overwhelmed. Then I hear a slight voice thing coming in too giving a feel of being in a place of great relaxation too.

The synth was very nice on the ears and I liked that a lot too. The female vocals were cool anyways, kind of felt like you were watching her relax. The dub bass was cool actually. The drums give the final piece here to make this a great work of art I think, nice job there.

Overall, very creative peaceful dubstep song.

Haha, candy eh? :D I would also like to see this in a puzzle game or something, would sit well I think. Glad to hear it took you to a happy place. :)

Aye, I'm new to dubstep so I used a few loops and programmed in some fills & automation to achieve the beat.

I was indeed going for a more peaceful style of song. I like dreamscapes with big ambience and uplifting harmonies. Dubstep is not generally about those things so it was fun mixing it up.

Thanks for the review, SCTE3. :)

Uprising, yay

This has a pretty cool feel to it actually. Almost feels like some twisted carnival ride remixed into a boss battle song to make you feel a bit weird while the boss battles you with radio music....also reminds me of the desert them from Earthbound with the radio beat keep coming in and out.

The bass is very funky and enjoyable to me and I enjoy it rather much too. The drums are heavy hitting and pretty cool sounding as well. The saxophone with the radio filter sounds pretty cool to me and very funky as well. Very well composed beat though. I enjoyed it.

Overall, funky!!

Thanks for the review! Yeah, it does kind of sound like a carnival ride. I haven't played Earthbound, but I'll try and find that song.

Great cover

Well I like how you took the song and made it completely classical and fun to enjoy once again too. Very nice song I think. I really enjoy it. Not an entirely large amount I can say as it is just classy too. The song gives a feeling of hope actually.

The violin gives a feel of hope and love. The drums make you even happier. The bass vocals I hear give a feeling of fun being had all the night as well. I really enjoy this cover of Avast your Ass. Only been out for about a year and look at all these amazing covers of it. Loved the constant rising feel part and it felt like it was so magical as well.

Overall, splendidly classical cover.

Thanks for the review! I think classical covers may become my thing. If only I could think of something original :/

Great cover

This sounds pretty close to the original actually except no wind in the background thankfully making the song all that much better. The tune feels like it gets the main overdrive from the drums too I think making it cool to enjoy. Great cover.

The drums are very dynamic and the tune has a mixed boss feeling about it as well too actually. The violin gives a calm feeling that even though the weather is harsh you can make it to the other side and continue on fighting for Spira and stop Sin once more from destroying the planet. The chorus, bass, and synth I partly hear give a feel of heroic deeds happening too.

Overall, lovely cover, reminds me of how much fun I had playing the game.

Thank you man! I can always count on the RRC.
I had a great time with FFX, I recall, and this is but a little tribute to a great game, not to mention the composers.

Mystery Jazz

Reminds me of Final Fantasy VIII a lot actually since they played a lot of music like this for most places where you were embarking on an adventure at actually. Very classy jazz feeling song though making it all pretty cool I think. The tune is pretty nice and retro in aspect though so good work there.

The bass has a very funky feel to it giving the song a cool feel to it. The drumming thing I hear whirring about gives a feel that something is flying past overhead as well. The chorus gives a feel of dynamic things taking place too. The crystal bell like sounds give a feel of cool things. I also liked the guitar that was added giving the song a touch of rock to it.

Overall, neat song.
