Excellent

Well this is an excellent guitar cover of Purple Haze, sadly I heard the Ozzy version first but I prefer this original one to the cover by him any day of the week actually. The guitar sounds very smooth and I like how it goes to cover the full song too. You can hear a light amount of air in the background actually when there is no sound at all.

Overall, a very well done cover of the original. Only thing that could make this guitar cover better is adding a bass guitar to it since it would sound even more charming to me I think. Very well done cover though.

Thank you. As always your reviews are greatly appreciated.

Enjoyable

Well I actually don't know what to say on this aside from just make it longer as it sounds just fine the way it is, just needs to be longer so we can see just how much more awesome this piece can get too, very nicely done little loop as it is though.

The female vocals are very nice here though and quite good. The drums are great and give a very relaxing feel to the loop.

Overall, nice loop, just extend it as it is. Very well done.

thanks man! yeah im making it longer and stuff for others to rap on it! thanks for the review!

Kick it to....overdrive!!

Like the slow start and then the full song just picks up. I think it could make some nice level music for traversing Cloudsdale or when you possibly encounter a boss near the later half of the game who has more of a speed related strategy of trying to win and defeat you which makes your timing very critical to win in the battle. Very nice yet awesome boss song for kicking into overdrive too!

The synth was awesome and the synth solo was pretty fun to hear in the later part of the song as well I think. The guitar synth was nice on the ears and gave a feel of trying to rock out a bit. Then the classy sounding synth reminded me of Chemical Factory zone 1 from Sonic the Hedgehog two which wasn't all that bad of a game.

The angelic synth is very nice and gives a feeling of hope as the boss gets faster and more desperate in its attempt to defeat you during the fight for eternal night time possibly. The drums and bass were both incredible and well done too. Very well done song!

Overall, rather enjoyable, awesome boss like song!

coleknows responds:

Almost all my drum and bass songs sound like boss themes, haha.

thanks for the review man :P

~YAY~

This has a very nice feel to it as if you were getting ready to meet someone real nice for the first time yet didn't quite know that just yet. Very wonderful piece of work though and rather enjoyable on the ears too I think. Really makes you want to hug Fluttershy all the more I think since she is quite kind to those in need of help if it's OK with them anyways.

The synth here has a really dreamy context to it giving the feel of everlasting friendship with someone you can help out and they will always help you in return. The dreaminess is just enough to melt your heart as well. I think the piano adds to the synth and sounds really nice too.

The vocals are nicely done here and nice.

The icy bell sounds I hear from time to time give a feeling of her wearing something warm and giving little animals something warm to wear as well. The bass kicks on the drum were loud and clear and I liked them quite a bit too since they had such a nice quality about them too.

The bass line here sounds really nice on the ears and I enjoy how it goes too.

Overall, very dreamy and enjoyable song too.

Creepy

Well all I can say is that this is a truly creepy piece to listen to. Has a dark feel like you were not meant to be there as well. Very creepily done. Nice work.

The synth kind of feels creepy with the lingering effect. Then it feels like I am listening to someone blow on glass for a creepy wind effect as well. This is entirely a creepy piece I think, nice work...

Overall, creepy.

Plants

Well I can picture this being something you hear when you did aromatherapy with some non soothing plants at least. Has a really cool action level feel to it as well I think. Would go great with some fast paced explorer as well. Very well composed piece of work and I really enjoy this as well.

The piano sounds blissful and calm while the tune goes on. The synth sounds really cool and gives the feel of exploring new places trying to reach the final levels as quickly as possible too giving them that retro fast in your face pace level designed feel.

The vocals were cool and kind of remind me of My Little Pony Shadowbolts actually. The background jungle like sound gives a feel of just being outside somewhere unaware of what you need to be doing to survive. The bass carries a solid and enjoyable rhythm too. The drums were awesome to hear.

Overall, nicely done piece, incredibly awesome.

Awesome! Thanks for that wicked review :) Very insightful!

Furious

The lyrics are very nice to hear although you could speak a bit louder into the microphone actually to make it clearer I think. The piano is very rapid fire and goes real fast, I can just see someone playing it real fast. Kind of feels like some sort of boss battle song as well. This is a very strange yet simple entry. Not bad at all.

Overall, nice piano and vocals, great work. Just be a bit louder is all. Nice work here.

JPRixdorfer responds:

Thank you :)

hm, I thought I sang the lyrics, not speak them :D anyway I sing quite loudly, I was even afraid my neighbours would come over and ask if I had gone insane completely. But what can you expect with a 15,- USB mic? It sucks. Of course the singing would sound brilliant, clear and I'd hit every note with a better mic, haha!

Short bittersweetness

Well this is very short and actually not all that bad and has a quirky feel as if something weird was going to happen and then it starts all over again to the beginning of the trip and it never ends either. This happened to be a rather strange beat I think since it is rather short for a piece. Was expecting longer but this works just fine.

The guitar sounded great and the drums at the end give a feel of them simply laying down and passing out into a nap from everything going on. I hear cow bells and some trombones and such giving this a very bizarre feel.

Overall, short and rather strange if anything, not bad.

Atlas responds:

Thanks for the review! But I didn't you cowbells but I did use trombone. I actually thought about not finishing the song and just using the part that starts at 00:21 and making a song out of that since I thought it was just wonderful.

Bizarre

Well this does make me think this is what could possibly going on in someone's head as they begin to trip on some drugs of sorts and keep wanting to take them. Incredibly short but seems to fit the idea just right I think it does show what could be going on in their heads as well. How bizarre for a short piece.

The drums start well then get chaotic. The bass, synth, vocals, and everything sound like they were suddenly sped up to give a feel of you just going on a very trippy mind trip to nowhere as you lie in the floor twitching.

Overall, quite strange....
