Calm before a battle

Kind of makes me think of Final Fantasy music actually since most of them tended to sound quite a bit like this. The tune gives that feel of getting up and slowly heading towards the battle as you prepare for one last showdown with the foe who has been ruining your village and the lives of many other people too. Pretty nice little song.

The violin I hear makes me think of calm things. The harp has that sound as if you were in a cave training for the day you knew yet hoped would never come at all. The drums are quite dynamic and make you feel ready for a battle. Very great little tune.

Overall, great battle startup beat. Maybe the prelude to the main boss battle.

Thanks, I have been trying to explore with more dynamic pieces as of late; starting very quiet and calm and moving to loud battle-esque bits or vice versa. I really wanted to try using some woodwinds and strings together, especially some reed woodwinds, as a rarely use them. The idea of this as a prelude is great... I didn't think of it as that since, and I said this to Coop above, I wrote it as a piece of main menu music for an adventure RPG-esque game.

Really fun

Really love the highly fun and upbeat sound of this song. Makes you feel like dancing a lot. The bass line is incredibly simple. The keyboard and piano were fun to hear and the banjo sounded great. Good work here.

Good effort

Does not even sound like this was made in Mario Paint so what did you use instead? The tone of the song seems very light and playful here as the beat marches on and keeps going. Kind of sounds like something I would hear in a humorous and light RPG game.

The bass trombone sounds really nice here and I like the flow of that beat. Then there is the drum beat which feels like someone banging on plastic in a very good rhythm. The violin here is quite nice to hear too. The other instrument is pleasant on the ears so great work there. Not much to improve here aside from maybe making it longer.

Overall, good little short piece, very light feeling.

Well, alot of people mistake a "Mario Paint" tag on a title as a song made in Mario paint. So after enjoying the Background theme of the game since I played the original I decided to make a redux of it using my prime program Reason 5.

Feeling good

I like how it gives off the feel of floating endlessly somewhere. Could also make for a great video game level song as in platforming I think. The tune has a story all its own depending on who hears it and what they see from hearing it. The song kind of just feels like it would also play during a tragic to fast paced part of a movie where something bad happens and a chase/battle soon ensues afterward. Also kind of makes me think of the Xenosaga trilogy.

The wet feeling synth has an up and down feel and then at times gives a reverse tone too. Like how it seems to be going up then quickly spiraling back down, kind of feels like a boss battle piece in a way. The bass here is very nice and smooth and helps promote the rest of the song.

Really enjoyed that moment where everything kind of just slowed down for a moment and just let you feel relaxed as you get ready for the upcoming battle ahead against the boss. The drums were very fast paced and gave that feel of having to beat the boss very quickly before they beat you.

Overall, great piece of work. Awesome song title as well.

Thanks for this entertaining review, as always =]

I could totally see this being used how you described it, especially the sadness to it and shortly followed by strong revenge.
I'm glad you like the bass, I worked really hard on the mastering and making sure everything layered and played well with each other.
I think this track is one of the smoothest that I have ever produced.

I'd really love to see it used in a flash or a game, that is my goal with all my tracks :P

Anyways, thanks again for the review =]

Sounds nice

Kind of gives that feel of exploring a desolate and abandoned city and you just woke up from a coma after seven years to see much of Earth is gone. However it appears before you have awoken that experiments have been done on you as you posses new powers you never had before such as telekinesis and pyrokinesis and many other new abilities along with some swords. Why you have them seems to elude you.

You exit the hospital and see there is almost no signs of life as you keep pushing forward and seeing it looks like a virus wiped people out a couple of years earlier and you are one of the few left living on the planet now. You walk forth getting used to your new powers and wondering how you could use them to try to help rebuild the planet.

The ambient synth sounds nice but what kind of sound is that anyways? Sounds like it is rather familiar from a couple of other ambient pieces I have heard before but never knew the name of the sound. The bass here is flawless and very beautiful sounding.

The drums have a simple rhythm and give that feel that things will be alright in the end. The underlying synth seems to work with the drums to help give a secondary tone and paint even more of the story. The piano also sounds great here.

Overall, beautiful song. Really enjoyed.

Structure

I do enjoy the odd composure of this piece as it seems to give a feeling of being stuck somewhere in a reverse dimension unable to leave ever again as you say strange dark images constantly involving all the other video game characters dead. The heavy use of reverse sounds tends to make this a little creepy song.

The reverse sounds are all nice and I enjoy how you seemed to put them in an order. The drums felt a bit urban but gave the feel of a good beat there too. The piano was chaotic as it played then got remixed and played back very quickly at the same time.

Overall, chaotic and creepy feeling video game song.

Tutorials

Sounds like something you would hear during a tutorial part of a video game when you are starting to get up and figure out how to play the game. I would suggest working on the song a bit more though. The song sounds a bit chaotic.

The instruments tend to sound like they want to overlap each other, should probably adjust the EQ of the tracks so they don't clash with each other as much. I mostly noticed this with the main synth sounds and bass since the bass keeps sounding like it wants to override the synth in being the louder sound.

The synth does sound rather interesting though since it goes up and down a lot here and keeps up a strange beat. Makes you feel weird. I like how the drums come on for a short bit but it feels like it was almost never there with the beat of the synth and bass competing to see who can be louder.

Overall, not too bad for a start. Could use a little bit of mastering is all. Equalizing would be very helpful here.

Great remix

The song sounds quite wonderful and has a happy blissful feel to it that makes you feel real happy. Love how you incorporate a little bit of Dubstep in this piece, very nice.
