[Flower /SN/]

Looking ok

It is not good but it isn't bad either. The purplish rocky background looks quite nice though. I don't know why you needed to write down flower though. Seems to be a bit unnecessary. The flower looks like it was done by a child but then again this looks like you were trying to make it look as close to real as possible which you seem to have done quite well.

The way the colors flow together kind of gives it a good fading effect such as purple fading to black or the outlines of the flower fading to purple. The picture is alright looking though I guess. I would probably just remove the word flower.

Looks like a story

It looks kind of like amidst all the bad things happening those two still love each other despite everything that is wrong in the background as they hug each other naked. What happened to their clothes anyway? The comets and face in the background look like they were very nicely detailed as well. Good job in that area.

The way the colors don't even conflict with each other is very good to. The hair of the characters makes it almost easy to tell if they are a guy or girl. Very wonderful piece you have done here, looks nice and slightly weird.

Looking good

This actually doesn't look quite that bad. It appears you spend a little bit of time making this as well. The shading seems to be alright as well to be honest. Shading is a bit off and sloppy though is probably the only bad thing about it actually.

While you did spend more time on this and all you could have maybe given a background to give it more of a realistic life feel to it as well.That and maybe a few more details on the face and arms would have been nice as well.

Love box

Kind of reminds me of when I use to enjoy playing in boxes all the time as well. The art is good and I like the transparent background as well. gives it more of a Newgrounds feel to it anyways.

However I do have to ask. why does he like the box so much? Did he get in the mail form a loved one or what? Oh well, I guess if he loves the box then he loves the box.

Good piece of art anyways.

[The Sugar Claws Cover]

Good piece

The way you just seemed to use shades of pink is pretty cool actually. The imagery seems quite deep as well. Had no idea you were in a band or is this for a flash project you plan to work on?

The way the images flow from the girl's mind seem nice looking as well. This just seems to be a nice piece of art overall. Good work on this.

[Tom Fulp: The Beard]

Very large pixels

This is a great pixel art piece but I would downsize when you submit it so it has a more retro and pixelated feel to it instead of it being large like it is at the moment. I like the beard a lot as well. Kind of makes Tom look like a badass even though he already is for creating an excellent site where people can create things for other people to enjoy as well. The background is greatly pixelated with detail of the 2 rays of colors flowing with each other.

This is really great piece though, good job on this pixel Tom art.

[Ikebana - Coast]

Very weird

From a point of view it looks kind of like a very weird looking street instead of a coast actually. The contrasting of colors in such a way is very odd to me as well. It kind of looks like a street you will never find but makes me feel like I am trying to look into a house on the coast at the same time which is very weird as well. The texture is also very nice as well.

Overall, you do many abstract pictures and you seem to put lots o thought into them as well, this is a wonderful piece though. good job.

Nice visual effects

It kind of reaches out and grabs at you in away I also see a small black outline of a rabbit near the bottom of the picture to the right side as well. The colors contrast very nicely as well causing just like some very large splash effect as well to the viewers eyes. The way the colors come together to just create a nice flow of the japanese abstract art and carribean colors is very nice as well.

The the picture is, is very great. I looks forward to more art in the future as well from you. Have fun drawing more abstract art.

[Ikebana - Corner of Ikebana]

Really nice

I kind of see two different things, if you just look at the top half it feels like you are looking down at a street and if you look at the bottom half it looks like everything is just coming out of a hat and creating a huge visual area illusion. Pretty nice abstract art since you see two different things or at least I do anyways.

I really have no idea how one improves abstract as it is more or less emotion than anything else. Very nice piece though, you do lots of abstract art!!

[Lay off the coke, Garfield!]

It is alright

As much as I like the humor of the picture the only issue is with the mouth. I'm pretty sure Garfield should have fangs in his mouth instead of just a few teeth in front. Then again I guess the coke explains why Garfield hates Mondays? Because he can barely remember the day before. Oh well, it appears Garfield has a new and harmful addiction to something other than lasagna now.

The shading and use of just a pencil is really good too since it looks a bit like something I would do except a bit more abstract in a way. It is also a good start for you seeing as you have no other art either. I would only advice you maybe to slow down a bit on future pieces and think a bit more about the characteristics of a character. Aside from that it is pretty good for your first art submission.
