Cheesy and somewhat difficult platform game. I enjoyed it a lot though. I only got mildly annoyed at the small platform going around in a square shape as you have to actively move with it or it makes you jump onto the spikes below. :(

I noticed there was several spots with seemingly impossible to reach cheese it felt like. I imagine that was to encourage players to look in other spots to find the 32 pieces that can be collected right?

Feels nice to be one of the first to get a medal on a ninjamuffin99 game, in this case "ULTRA CHEESY." I saw it and was like "I need to complete this game quickly." Thankful I got it just in time. I continue to look forward to more fun games from you and everyone else who makes these games possible. <33

I take it I'm missing something here? Opening the game gives a notification that pop-ups are being blocked from this. At the menu, all I see is a Credits button and clicking it gives a back button. I recall there was also a medal on this but I'm thinking it was likely removed as it was a test medal.

IF-dev responds:

yeah this game was created to test newgrounds.io i don't care if i get a bad review

Seems like a fun game, would be nice if you listed what song is playing in the background though, seems a couple of the medals are working, they just happen to be a little buggy on whether or not they will work currently.

EDIT: Tried the game again, seems no medals are currently unlocking still, hope they work soon. Also, unsure what the scoreboard is for, would it be possible to give a more clear description of what the scoreboard is keeping track of?

EDIT update 1/10/2020: Seems several of the medals are still not working. Also, feel like the font should be changed slightly as I got a little confused after 100 coins and thought it said I had 200+ coins for some reason.

EDIT update: 5/14/2020: Coin and time based medals still do not work at this time. :(

Metals should all work now :) .

Nice to see how fast you were able to throw this together and all. Easy to get medals too, thanks for keeping the BBS awards alive this year. ^_^

Little-Rena responds:

I enjoyed doing the awards, and I hope to do them for this year too! Unless someone beats me to the punch!

Pretty basic game with no real challenge outside of jumps and curves, would be nice if it had a soundtrack. Started to play and the first thing to come to mind was the TopGear 3000 soundtrack for some reason, lol.

Soon more updates will be mad

Not too bad, nice little time waster if you like trying to figure out how and where to press the button, typically just need to move the mouse around and listen for the audio of the button. Hope the next game is better.

DerpGio responds:

I have a top down shooter in the making which I think is pretty good, this was just a little mini side project I decided to make. Stay tuned I guess >:)

Not a bad game concept but I feel it could use some changing up and such to be a better game.

The game play is simple, try to guesstimate when to press the left mouse button to send it flying up and coming down to hit a powerup orb or give more balls to work with. I think if one manages to hit the powerup and heart orbs, the player should be given back an extra ball so they essentially gain back the ball they just hit something with, otherwise they would lose the ball.

The audio is kind of a mixed bag for me. The background music is really nice and relaxing but the voice acting kind of feels narmy or off at times. Also, I notice the voice actor is not credited anywhere at all. I take it they did not want to be credited for their voice work?

Lastly, if some type of gallery is unlocked, feels kind of crummy to make the user go to your website or patreon just to see the 18+ content in my opinion. Maybe add an in-game gallery for unlockable content rather than keeping it locked off site?

Overall, not bad but could use some changes.

Dezue responds:

Heyho, NekoMika!
Thank you for playing and for the detailed review! Really appreciate that!

I'll address all the feedback about the difficulty in the next update - while I like a challenge, I didn't want to make the game impossibly hard :D The ball bonus when an orb is hit is a neat idea, I'll try that out.
The voice actor is MissMoonified and she is definitely credited in the game with a special mention :)
Check out her other work on Twitter under the handle @MissMoonified!

There will be more lewd content in the next update as well! :)
Thank you again for playing, stay funky, and have a merry christmas!

Another year, another wonderful advent calendar. That being said, I opened the first and second present on December 2 but only got the achievement for the second present. I take it the present achievements are date locked?

Not a bad try for a first game, I hope future games will be much better.

At the title screen, I noticed there is "Info" and also "Help." The Info button tells how to play the game kind of while Help just gives a button saying "Soon" which is incredibly pointless. Could have just not added the Help button given it seems to serve no function whatsoever.

Starting from Level 2, I began to notice a few issues. When jumping on the cacti. you take damage for every second you are on the cacti. A couple of seconds of invincibility after losing a heart would help greatly. I also notice that if you are hugging a wall or platform wall, you lose the ability to jump until you move away from it.

I noticed the only levels with any kind of difficulty were levels 2 and 5. Level 2 for the cacti that take off way too many hearts at once for simply being on them for more than one frame. Level 5 because you kind of have to hope you land on the latter platforms fast enough that you can shoot the other cacti to avoid losing health. It IS possible to just lose a heart or two and just drop down to the door to finish the game if you have at least 3 hearts though.

The medals all worked, I got the level 1 medal after finishing the first level and The Nopal after completing all 5 levels.

The game lacks audio all around; no sound effects, no music, no noise at all. I hope the next game adds in some audio to keep players a little more interested when trying to complete the game.

Overall, not a bad first game but I got a feeling you have a lot of room for improving too.

EDIT: No, 1, 3, and 4 are fine on their own. I would focus on bug fixes before building more levels to be honest.

lolipopstudio responds:

Hello!

I will deleted "Help" in next update, I know problem with cacti so I will fix it, music for game will be added... I'm working. But do you thing that 1,3,4 lvls must be more dificult? I want to make above 20 lvls, answer my question please

Feels like a rather difficult endless runner since you can't touch anything. Fun game but taking damage for jumping on the blobs makes no sense.

Amni3D responds:

Agreed, the slime's enemy design is bad all around; patterns unpredictable, and impossible to beat. Was a late and rushed addition since I thought it needed enemy variety.

A lot of the game design here I don't agree with. I think I had ideas that could've been done much better in all aspects (shop, leveling system, stamina usage, enemy design, camera, level design, progression done right, moveset). Some time I might touch on it again, an update couldn't fix my personal issues with this game. Wasted potential, but it's needed to learn. I'm glad you found fun despite that!
